The Voice: Season 2 Official Thread

I completely forgot about the results show being last night! :sad2: Would someone please tell me who all got eliminated?

I thought Christina looked very pretty last night, she doesn't need her ****s hanging out to look good - softer is definitely better for her.:thumbsup2

I like Adam's haircut, but he reminded me a little of Simon Cowell :scared1:

RaeLynn (sp?) looked like a two year old stomping around having a temper tantrum. I love country music but that was just terrible. I thought I was watching Toddlers in Tiaras :sad2:

ITA! Christina has looked much better in the last 2 episodes, and I can't stand RaeLynn. I don't like her voice and she's highly annoying.

I really liked Charlotte and Naia and was sad that they were the 2 sent home from Blakes team.

Awww, I really like Naia! I'm so sad she's gone! :sad1:

Who is gone from Christina's team?

Moses and Sera were eliminated from Christina's team. Moses didn't have the voice to compete with the others, but I love his personality and he has an amazing smile (and perfect teeth)! I thought Sera was amazing in the blind auditions but her last couple of performances were blah. Ashley was saved by Christina after Jesse, Lindsey and Chris were the top three vote getters. I agree with Adam that Ashley has showed marked improvement, but I don't think she'll be in the running much longer. Just too many other, better voices out there.

I really like Naia, too, but I totally agree with the judges that Jordis was better than Naia and Charlotte in the last night's performances. I think Blake made the right choice in picking Jordis over the other two.

I was surprised at some of Christina's remarks to Blake's team - made me think a lot less of her.

Congratulations, Tony but SADIE??

Sorry if I insulted anyone. I just wonder when that name became popular again? :goodvibes

Why would a name need to be popular for someone to decide to use it? If that was the case everyone would be have the same name.

Why would you make a comment like that on a thread about the Voice??

Thank you for the info! I'm ok with the ones that left Christina's team. I did like Moses, though.

Is it just me or are many of the act moving backwards in their level of performance as the show goes on.

I agree with that assessment. Some that I pegged as favorites in the blind auditions left me unimpressed in the battle and elimination rounds. Will have to see how Adam's team does next week, as I think he's the best at "mentoring" and making his team members the best they can be. He plays to their strengths and has better song selections than the other coaches, IMHO.

Hey everyone! I'm so glad I finally found this thread! What is up with the search function? I tried searching for The Voice, just Voice, The Voice Season 2, etc., etc., etc.... I finally found this by scrolling through all the threads on the community board!

Anyway, I haven't had a chance to read all the pages, but I agree Christina wants to make The Voice into the Christina Show! She is rude and usually looks slutty, which I don't understand. She's a beautiful girl, she doesn't need to put the ladies on display every show. I though she looked beautiful wearing the white and black zebra dress, she should dress like that all the time.

My favorite so far is Jesse. I didn't mind "What a Wonderful World", in fact I thought it was great. I also liked Naia, and was sad to see her go.

I don't know if this has been talked about, but I really dislike the process of the battle rounds. I think it's really unfair to some of the contestants. I mean, some of the ones who went home ('course I can't think of any names right now, LOL) are infinitely better then others who stayed. If they're going to narrow down the contestants that way, they should at least be able to bring back wildcards.

Which reminds me, I know I did miss a couple weeks, but isn't Tony Vincent the one who nobody turned their chairs for, and then when it was over they all said how they messed up? Adam was saying, "Can we have a do-over?" and trying to press his button? Am I imagining it, or was it someone who just looked like him? And if it was him, how did he end up back on the show, and on Cee Lo's team? :confused3

Okay, ciao for now!

Okay, ciao for now!

I'm pretty sure Cee-Lo turned around for Tony. I remember the good-looking football player no one turned around for; isn't that the one Adam requested a do-over for?

Yeah, the battle rounds are a little weird, especially when you have to try to harmonize on the chorus with someone whose style and voice are so different from your own. I get the "same night, same song, who did it better?" thing, but I don' think the contestants should have to try to harmonize with the other artist they're battling against.

I agree, but the thing that bothers me is that they have had instances where two really great singers have competed against each other, and then one of them has to go home. Then they will have two not so great singers, and one of them gets to stay. So now you have a great singer who got eliminated and a not so great singer who gets to continue on the show. It's just not fair.:sad2:

Oh,I found the contestant I was thinking of. His name was Cameron, and he was on the last blind audition. He sang an Alannis Morisette song, and I think all the judges thought he was a girl. Nobody turned around for him. Then when they realized it was a guy they were all like "Oh, man!", and Adam asked if he could change his mind. That was one instance where having the audition blind did not work in his favor. I got him mixed up with Tony (similar dramatic style).

I became a fan of Jordis on Rockstar Supernova a few years back. Blake has to give her songs that play to her voice. I'd love to see her sing a Janice Joplin or Melissa Etheridge song.

Oh, my gosh! I thought I recognized her from somewhere, but I couldn't place her! That was a great show, I wish they would do another one.

Rockstar:INXS not Supernova.

I don't trust their voting procedure. When you vote for Dancing with the Stars it keeps track of how many times you vote and won't let you exceed the limit.

I went to The Voice website to vote: it states you can only vote ten times per artist, per method, yet never tells you when you have reached ten votes - so how is it counting??

Same with their phone numbers - if you vote more than ten times it does not tell you that you have reached your maximum number of votes.

Well, not surprised to see Erin on Vote for the Worst. I'll be sick, though, if she makes it through to the next round. RaeLynn could be explained by her garnering the votes of all country fans, but there's no justification for Erin moving on.

So I thought it would be fun to make a predictions for tonight's eliminations:

Team Cee Lo top 3: Jamar, James, Juliet. Jamar and Juliet were wonderful last night. James isn't my favorite (not my taste), but I did think he outperformed the others last night and he probably has the teen girl vote wrapped up. I predict that Tony Vincent will come out firing tonight to avoid elimination. He should pull out another Queen song and rock it Broadway style! Going home: Erin (please!) and Cheesa.

Team Adam top 3: Mathai, Katrina and Pip. I thought Mathai sounded great, Katrina did extremely well (although some judges weren't crazy about the song choice) and Pip was Pip. He's interesting enough to stay around a little while, and I think he has a pretty loyal following. I think Kim will put on the best performance tonight and earn a judge's save. Going home: Karla and Tony (though I like Tony a lot and thought Cristina was pretty *****y to him).
