(for those still trying to add their cc#) This was just posted a bit ago on the Disney Food Blog:

This is on the FAQ page of Walt Disney World’s Dining Reservation page “contact the Disney Reservation Center at (407) WDW-7933 (939-7933) for assistance”. It was talking about combining reservations but I took a chance and while one cell was still on hold with WDW DINE, I dialed that one. Got through in less than 10 minutes. He charged my credit card one penny. By doing that, he didn’t have to transfer me back to the other Dining line, which he said would take 1/2 hour. (I had the option and picked the penny).
 

I think this thread might take the record of being the fast growing thread ever on The Dis! Imagine how the phone line CMs are going to feel at the end of their work shift?
 
I got through to the automated system on my 4th try but it showed nothing available for lunch on 12/20 or 12/21 (11 - 3 window). Good Luck!

They don't take reservations for lunch at all. Only dinner.

That said. I FINALLY got though.

Nothing for Nov 19-22 at all.

I was also told that IT is working on the CC issue to save those reservations.
 
someone just posted they were told they will NOT be cancelled, that Disney has corrected the issue. They told them no need for a credit card #. Not sure how accurate this is but I was expecting them to do this.

I was just told the same thing. The CM swore up and down that an announcement had been made that all automated reservations without cc holds would be honored.
 
So I FINALLY got thru and got the automated system & went ahead & booked my ADR for Feb 9 then stayed on line for cast member. I was on hold for 17 minutes and when she came on, I told her I needed to add my CC info to my ressie and she said that Disney changed it again and I do not need to add my CC the reservation. I questioned it because of the info I received on line here and she said it was just announced 10 minutes ago that they will not require CC for those that booked thru automated system. :)
 
My concern is will the reservations be deleted from the system. It seems some people are already having trouble with theirs being there when they called. I just called and added a cc #. The girl I spoke with said they were going to call people before they canceled. (Sounds like more trouble than its worth to me). This is just another example of different information depending on which CM you speak to.

I just got told the same thing. The CM I spoke to said that word just came down from Disney execs that they decided to make it easier for people who were trying to make reservations and so ADRs made through the automated system would not be cancelled tonight.

My ADR isn't until January so I'm not in as tough a predicament as you all who are going in November/December so I'm going to trust that this is the case. She told me I could check my reservations online tomorrow just to make sure and give myself peace of mind though...which I'll do :)

LOL. I guess I'm glad I went through the re-booking/adding a credit card process anyway. I hoped they would honor those reservations. They really would have had a rough day tomorrow if they didn't!

I hope they put something official up somehow for people. Their phones will get a lot less busy if they do.

Of course they will! How could they cancel when no post was made or calls made by Disney to inform or acknowledge the glitch. Whew! I printed my Ressie though just in case ;)
