AGGGRRRRRR!!!!! DVC is telling that you could not use the automated phone line until Aug 22 and that my reservation (which I made at 7:30 this moring and is for a party of 13) is not valid for BOG!

I am waiting to speak to a manager now:headache::scared:
 

DVC couldn't even help me. They told me to call the regular number... LAME! I'm attempting to just get a new reservation and nothing is available. I'm pretty ticked off that the DVC lady didn't really even try to help and will be filing a complaint since I hate when things aren't the same across the board.
 
I was able to get a reservation for the day I wanted but the automated system didn't ask for my CC info. I'm on hold now to try to add it to my reservation.
 
I think I may have the same issue. I'm on hold now. I may see if there's a better time available truthfully. I didn't even ask. Will see what they say.

What's funny is what I'm gonna call the BOG effect. Sooo many reservations that we wanted are now all available. People cancelling to make room for their new BOG ressie. Got some much better times than what I had for other days. If you need any other restaurant, today's a really good day to get what you need ONLINE. Don't get back on the phone...lol!

too funny! great idea! :thumbsup2 I just went online to check if my ressie was there and cancelled my teppan edo for the night I got BOG. lol!
 
Got a Dvc agent now who says it shouldn't have even booked without cc

I will be so ticked if my reservation is dropped, but the lines are crazy and I have two toddlers about to wake up and I'm going on 4 hours of sleep. :headache: To say I'm annoyed would be an understatement.
 
I made my reservation a little after 9, but haven't received a confirmation email or anything and couldn't write down my number because I was driving..........

Now I'm getting nervous.
 
FYI: DVC just told my wife they can't modify any more ressies on their end.
 
After sitting for two hours I can't feel my legs, I can't feel my EAR, I can't feel my fingers. I'm currently rolling myself to the kitchen to fetch a cup of tea. And a scotch, and bourbon, and vodka.....

AMEN.

I'm on hold now, FINALLY (reg. Dining #) after dialing more than 400x, every number you fine folks posted. Disney Store was so nice, but as I was transferred I got the familiar sound of BUSY SIGNAL HELL.

Moving on to the 2nd glass of wine.

Just hope I get an agent soon, or I'll be too schnookered to remember why I called...bahahaha!

My wife just talked to a supervisor.

She said:

The automated system (via phone) was fine to use. It's just not set up correctly.

DVC's system somehow killed a BOG ressie, while trying to modify it, and they couldn't get it reinstated...so they're referring all guests to the dining line for modifications.

She said they know about the problem with the automated system not asking for CC#'s.
 
I'm on hold with the main number to add my CC#!! Panicking!!!!!

I must have been the first one to get through. Surprised they gave me that option, but it will cost Disney to process the cc charge by Visa. They must have decided they did not want to continue giving others that option.

I did not go through DVC but after seeing the post that some res may be dropped due to no cc, I stayed on hold after making my reservation,(that also did not ask for cc) saying I had a request. After 57 min, an agent came on and tried just adding my cc and it would not take it. There were no other openings on the date I wanted and she said she did not want me to lose the res because of this. After trying many things, I saw the post about charging small amount to add the card and asked. For some reason, they are not supposed to suggest it, I guess since a deposit is not required for the res, but since I brought it up she said she would try it. It took it and now I have my card on my res. If anyone else talking to the Dining line has trouble adding a card after making the reservation automatically, ask about putting a small charge on the card for that reservation. She put 1.00. I will gladly pay 1.00 to keep my reservation after this morning.
Also, she said they were updating their system this morning as well. They picked a great time to do that with this reservation opening. She said she thinks that is why the automated system was not asking for cc because it should have.
Just fyi

Ok, just got off of phone with DVC. They could not add a cc # without putting a payment amount in. Gave me 2 options: wait until I could call the regular dining reservation # back and add it, or allow them to process a $0.01 payment on my cc, which may not be refundable. I chose the .01 option. It went thru and I have the same conf # the automated system gave me.
