The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

We’ll begin accepting reservations for Be Our Guest in late August for guests who wish to dine after Nov. 19. Stay tuned for more details!

So the way I read this is yes it appears that once reservations open you will be able to make reservations for the preview period.

We will miss the preview but should be able (fingers crossed) to get one for the week of December 15th. It would be the perfect last night meal for DH & I solo trips!

We fall into the 'Preview' period (Nov. 24th to 30th). What exactly does 'Preview' period mean? Thanks.

Looks like the preview is my only hope. I'm there the 24th - 30th of November. SIGH.

Your dates are the same as ours, Lisa! I'm so hoping that we will be able to fit BOG into our trip!

Thanks for this good news, Goofy! We sound like we come under this 'Preview' period.

We were planning on going that night....but now I'm worried about the crowd too!!!

Now that we know the preview for the public will begin on Nov. 19th, not sure if the 6th will be that 'bad' of a day anymore. But then again, what do I know? :rotfl:

We are booked the same time as you, and my inlaws are flying down to join us...from Windsor!

Excellent, where are you staying ? And I assume you will be trying like the rest of us to score a BOG ressie? I am aiming for the night we have MVMCP tickets but ................??!!!!

I read the 28th on another Twitter as well, so I'm hoping that's the day! It's a Tuesday so I hope all the other people at work make it easier for me to get ours first :rolleyes1:duck:

Would they really be so crazy as to release the day they will open up for ressie's ??? Or have the employed another 1000 CMs to answer the gazillion phone calls they will receive :) No doubt the online system will crash...

If previous history is any indications...yes, yes they will. They have with other new restaurants, when they open.

Now...I expect this to be a wee bit busier than, say, getting an ADR for the opening of Cat Cora's...but I expect Disney will stick with their S.O.P., anyway.

The more interesting piece will be if they release BOG to the online system an hour earlier than the phone lines open.

Oh boy, I guess my plan of attack for that day is - laptop, phone, all the patience I can muster and a bottle of Tylenol !

Unfortunately, if it's anything like the Candlelight Processional dining packages this year, they weren't loaded in the system until about 7:15. Tried constantly from 6-7am, finally picked up the phone and got in queue at 7am, and actually had the online option show up while still on hold. Could have been alot more efficient, hopefully it's different this time, fingers crossed!

Yeah, that's what I'm expecting, too.

That day happens to be our kids (all 3 of them) first day of school...which adds a small wrinkle.

I'll be manning the phone and laptop that morning, trying to get SOMETHING for December 12th.

Called yesterday for reservations, told to call back last week in Aug. Know
I'll be calling the third week everyday till I get a ADR for Dec. the pictures
showing the inside are so exciting. :yay:

As of now, it is believed that the restaurant will probably open in November, possibly on the 19th along with the fantasyland preview of the new attractions and that reservations will be able to be made on August 28th. I have not heard anything about the restaurant starting to accept ADR's on the day they open. That would be silly IMO on Disney's part.

MK will be very crowded that day without a doubt including mvmcp that night. It will be more crowded than usual starting on Nov. 19th and probably all thru December. I wouldn't even attempt to tackle the weekends or Christmas week this year. It will likely be a nightmare.

Does anyone know if reservations are required for the lunchtime quick service meals? Is this considered "counter service" and therefore no reservation is necessary? Do we just show up and get in line and hope for the best? Anyone know?

As far as I understand lunch is just counter service - so no ressie needed ;) so I think it works with just showing up and hoping to get a table :D
(but I think the line will be quite extreme for sometime after 12/6! And maybe in the preview period!?)

I can't imagine that Disney would start to require reservations for quick service meals! But maybe someone know for sure how it will work??

I know it's going to be crazy...but I'm hoping for December. :)
It will be total chaos!! But, that's the day my friend and I arrive. We figure we'll head over to MK...just to say we were there for the official opening. We'll check it all out, then beat feet outa MK and head somewhere else for the remainder of the day!!!:lmao:

I would like to do dinner, but I'll do counter service just to get in and see it.

I called dining today and a kind CM said dinner will start Nov. 19 and the official opening will be Dec.6. It looks like the end of August to start making reservations for it.

I think I will try to call first, but I'll be trying via the website, too.
