The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

Waiting for May here....^_^ Hope you all get in!

I just spoke with reservations and was told that they will start taking reservations on 8/28.:hourglass

I just called to make some ADR changes and was told this same thing, even before I asked. :) Must be the million dollar question they hear!

Really looking forward to this restaurant! Does anyone know what the lunch and dinner hours are? We were planning a late lunch around 4pm and wondered if it would still lunchtime. Thanks!

That's a very good question and one I have no idea of the answer to. I actually plan on having BOTH CS lunch AND TS dinner there on the same day. hahaha! I actually want an early lunch and an early dinner ADR because that is also our MVMCP evening and I want to be done with dinner by 6pm. Do you guys think it'll be typical lunch/dinner hours? I wonder if they will need some time to break down the lunch area in time for dinner, though? And I was wondering if lunch would be at Gaston's tavern with dinner at BOG? I thought I read where both were in the basement of Beast's castle? Or did I make that up? lol

There will be 3 or 4 rooms and only the ballroom will be used for TS - that's the way I understood it. But still, I would think they would require an hour to prepare for dinner. They at least have to get rid of the lunch crowd.

If the lunch setup is as I'm seeing it pictured in my head, then there won't be much time required to break anything down. Just time to clear out the lunch guests before TS seating begins. I reported earlier in the thread that I had seen little computer kiosks on our tables at Applebees recently and it looks just like the type of arrangement I would envision for this. All they would have to do is turn off the little computer terminals for the evening. They're small enough to leave them on the table, or could even be used to show dinner items, like a digital menu, but not used for actual order taking during the TS dinner.

Gaston's Tavern is a completely separate building. No word on what they will be serving.

Looks like they will start taking ADRs on 8/28 but any idea what time? What time does the dining ressie phone number open? Would it be a better chance trying to book through the WDW website? Really, REALLY wanting to get an ADR at BOG for our trip 1st week of December.

While purely assumption...I am guessing that the ADRs for eligible dates will be available for online booking at 6am ET on whatever day they officially load it and open up ADRs for booking. Of course, a number of us also expect this to overload the system. Time will tell.

I know Disney will tell us the official dates when they're good and ready (i.e. both for opening and booking), but I'm getting pretty sick of waiting. I know there are far greater issues in the world and in my life than being frustrated over a loack WDW dining info, but it really would be nice to know something concrete at this point.

Based on my recent experience in trying to book the CP package on the first day it was open, the online system was not ready to book adr's at 6 am. I had to wait until 7 am. While I was on hold with the CM making the adr, the online reservation became available. Will I still be up at 6 am? Yes, yes I will! Of course Aug 28 is my first teacher workday...fingers crossed that I get through before I have to go to work!

Is that 6:00AM EST?

6am I will be online trying to get January res.:coffee: I am sure the system will be overloaded!

Yup. 6 AM Eastern, the system is "updated" for the day (allowing you to book 180 days from that date, instead of the day prior).

Sometimes it's a few minutes earlier, sometimes a couple minutes later. But 6 AM Eastern is generally the time you're aiming for.

That is how I read it too. If we are correct that 500+ seating will be what is available for the 3 areas during Lunch(CS) and the Ballroom Dining will be for Dinner TS perhaps seating availability 150-175?

Originally I thought it might not be so hard getting a Dinner reservation but this sheds a new light on the number of ADRs available for dinner.

Interesting! I've never had the website fail to fully load the next 180th day by 6a ET. When I booked for this trip back in May, Garden Grill was the only thing that was not loaded...and that took days to load. The other thing I dealt with- not all of the key times were loaded when it flipped to the 180th day. i.e. let's say I wanted 11:30, but 11:45 was the earliest time loaded right at 6am. This happened to me with 5 restaurants, some very easy to normally get, so it had to have been a system thing. Magicallypixiedust: at around 6:20a all of them were in there.

I just hope it isn't too much of a mess when they go live with this. I was also really hoping they'd pick "the day" to be a weekend prior to our start of school. We're going back a week late this year, but we'll be back in school by the 28th and it will be a lot harder to be messing with the website if it's a work day and a school day. I guess at least the 28th isn't an official date yet either so who knows when this really is all going to go down. Oh well, we'll make it work. I guess we'll also have to be lucky enough to have our dates included.

The blog said you would order at the kiosk before taking a seat, so I don't think there will be any terminals at the tables.

Ditto, for us, for the past 2 trips we've taken.

5:56 for our first trip.

6:02 for this upcoming trip (in December).

For this trip, our only challenge was that they were holding tables at Epcot restaurants for CP. You couldn't get any availability...but it would do the search for us 180 (+10) out.

I am in such complete agreement with you about getting sick of waiting! I check 5 times a day on all different blogs and sites to see if there is any new info that has been posted 'In the past 24 hours'. I thought the waiting would be fun, but now its just stressful. My husband keeps telling me to just be happy we are finally going to Disney. I am, but I keep thinking we should move the trip to a later date when the FLE has opened. I hate second guessing myself :confused3

What are the chances they do a "soft opening" for ADRs? Word would obviously spread like wildfire through the boards, but curious if one day we can't book and then the next we can! pirate:
