He'll be playing at the Palm and I will have the kids either at the resort or the parks. He'll be doing what he loves and so will I :thumbsup2 Makes for an enjoyable trip for all:cool1:

That's our family EXACTLY!! :goodvibes I could not have said it better myself!

While hubby enjoys Disney, it's the golf that gets him to return year after year ... it's how I convinced him that DVC was a great idea for us! :thumbsup2 So, I get to visit my happy place and so does he.

Enjoy your trip!

When DH and I got married in WDW in 2007 our families were only there for the one full day after the wedding and then the two of us stayed another 6 days for our honeymoon. So we agreed that even though it was our first day being married (we had been together for 6 years and already lived together for 4) that we would spend that day partly separated so we could be with our families (we live far away from all of them and see each other every day, but only see our families a few times a year.)

So....the day after our wedding DH and his best men, dad, etc... went golfing. I toured the parks with my family and had my 'Just Married' button on and a bunch of CMs would ask 'where's your husband' and I would say 'golfing.' Some of them laughed and said I was awesome, but I had one bus driver that got on the intercom and said 'Ladies and gentlemen you are in the presence of THE BEST WIFE EVER!' :rotfl:

LOVE IT!!!!!

We have a 5, 3 and 1 year old and we braved the parks every afternoon following naptime without Dad this past trip and we had a ball. (Dad/Hubby went with us each morning and stayed through lunch and then we would meet up again for dinner) I loved all the reactions we would get when someone would comment about me being "on my own with 3 little ones" and I would mention that hubby was golfing ... can't tell you the number of times a hubby would turn to his wife and say, "see, other guys get to golf!!!" :lmao:

Glad I'm not the only one! :goodvibes

I usually play a round or two when we are down there Its just my self and my DS. We compermise he sleeps in a day or two and I use that time to play golf:cool1:,then I am the one that pays for It that night:scared1:,but thats ok Its well worth It

am i doing something wrong or is it impossible to book Oak Trail golfcourse online ?
I'm trying to get a 8/18 tee time.

Found it, pushed wrong button.

Does anyone know if you have to make reservations if you have the MYW tickets ?
Or do you make reservations and give your MYW ticket once you are there so it's free ?
And in the MYW ticket , is the taxi-ride included and the rental for golfclubs ??

Lots of questions for which i don't find an answer on the Disneysite

I'll try to answer a few. Club rental is not included in the MYW ticket option. Not sure if you have to specify when making a tee time that you're using your MYW ticket, but I dont think it would be a big deal if you didnt. As far as transportation, simply visit the valet desk at your hotel and they will arrange for a taxi at no charge. Enjoy:thumbsup2

Yes the Taxi drive Is free but be very aware of the typ of drivers they are!!:scared1: Last April took a taxi, the driver frist went through a red light and I mean a red light never slow down nothing. Then he went down a wrong street and It was a one way, going the other driction:scared1:. Then he tells me he Is not a good driver, and If I wanted to drive. I said I am not from around here and If you could just get me to the course in one peice! Well he got me there I was bundel of nerves but i was alive. Just be aware of the drivers not all of them are that crack up to drive.

Eh, that sounds like my experience every time I get in a cab:lmao::rotfl:

thx for the reply.
I'll make sure to taken my driverslicense with me so i can take over the wheel !

Does anyone happen to know what clubs are included in this set? I want to take my fiance out for her first time on a real course, plenty of practice at the range, she's not bad really.:) And I'm just wondering whats included in the $15 partial set rental. thanks.

Hmm..I'm not too sure on this one, although I seem to remember reading from another poster a while back that it was a driver (or some sort of wood), 2 irons, wedge and putter, but dont quote me on that. Since it can only be used on Oak Trail, thats probably just about all that would be needed anyway...

On an unrelated note, its nice to see on Disney's site the 2 round pass featured more prominetly in their rates. Now perhaps we wont run into so much confusion with CMs when trying to book it:thumbsup2

I think its safe to say price slice is a gonner:confused3

Help!! I just made a tee time online and now I am having a little panic attack. The tee time is for DH and my dad, but it is in my name. Is that going to cause any problems?? I didn't even think about it until the reservation was done. Tell me that I didn't screw it up.

Just trying to find out about the free club rental. If you book a tee time with free clubs are you guaranteed they'll have some for you?

I have never heard anything about free rental clubs. Everything I have read has them listed at $55 or $60. Where did you read/hear anything about free rental clubs?

No, you do not have to specify that you are using a MYW ticket when making a reservation. We were there last week and made all our reservations online including Oak Trail. We did not specify that we had extras on our tickets to pay for Oak Trail until we checked in. An interesting fact though, was that when we went to customer service to have our tickets checked, some were good at Oak Trail and others were only good at the waterparks for the pluses, (or at least that is what they told us).
