Okay.. I talked to the hubby.. and he is in for me to go from the Thursday and come home Sunday. So what is that?? 4th-7th? WOOOOHOOO!! He said he can handle it all. I hope so! He has no choice now.

I was so stunned at the question.. I had to break it down into sub-categories to explain things to him. 2nd graders.. They come up with the craziest stuff!

My deal this week....Fred Meyer has a 40% off coupon for all Kashi Products. I have a TON of $1.50 off Kashi cereal coupons...I'm sensing a trunk load full of free cereal.

What? No $3 coupons from Vocal Point?
If you haven't signed up.. DO!
I get high value and freebie coupons plus free products to try.
I figured out you need to do the surveys, then they send you more stuff.

In the last few months they have sent me:

Free coupon for Rice Krispies plus 6 others for $2 off a box

large sample of secret clinical protection with a bunch of $2 coupons

Booklet full of $1.50 Kashi coupons, plus 2- $3 coupons (sale at Target, free cereal) and a sample of the newest cereal

Some advertising for flu mist (directly from doing the survey)

High value coupons for Tide Stain additive,
combined with Target coupon .. free

High value coupons for the downy dryer bar... again used with Target coupon.. free, gave to my sis.

I missed out on full size product for the newest Olay lotion.. pricey stuff!
It was limited stock.

Sometimes they have high value printables too!

E commented yesterday that it's okay for me not to work, my rebates/ coupons, deal shopping and being more frugal in general pays off enough to keep our budget afloat. Besides, he knows if I work full time that he would need to do housework .... "just stay home honey"

Sure, they have buy a drink get an appetizer free right now (one per table.. darn).

They had better coupons a few months ago, buy a drink at the bar get appetizer free (one appetizer per person) ... then be seated and use another coupon for B1G1 meals.

PLUS you get stripes based on the full price, dine once or twice and ta-da... get a coupon for $10 off your meal. Share an appetizer or two.. dinner done!

This is a vent post.. you don't have to understand.. just vent along with me and curse the evil of medical care.





We are waiting on a call back from E's nurse, he can't get his access (cath) to work tonight.. ARGH!

I already talked to his nurse today, he basically scolded me.. to scold E.. for not returning phone calls.

He wants to do a home visit, some stupid form he needs to fill out from the state. Well, the first time he called and left message he said "I have time this morning I will be there in 10 minutes" uhhh like heck you are!

We were just at clinic the week before, he didn't mention anything about a home visit.

He called E's cell, which he never checks..

I finally picked up the phone today... wishing I didn't... scolded me and said "you need to call even if things get busy" ... umm no I don't actually, we do have a life beyond dialysis.

He was going to go off some more about how horrible E is for not returning calls. He needs TB testing and we need this home visit done... blah blah blah... I broke him off and asked "when do you want to do the visit"

He replies...
I don't know, I don't have my schedule.



Then why the heck did he call???????!!!!!

I really don't like this guy... sigh.

hmm, he called back now...... guess E needs to go in the morning to get some nasty drug put in his line to break up clots. ewwww, ah yes.. and E reminded him he already had problems on one side of the cath line... it was all news to the nurse, E said "uhhh I told you about that a few months ago and at the clinic visit?? " oh really? uhh, yeah.

I know where you're coming from. Medical stuff can be so frustrating at times. You expect things to flow smoothly...and they don't ever seem to.

Yes B. I am signed up for Vocalpoint...but I already spent the Free Kashi coupons. Already got my free box of Rice Krispies and annoyed the heck out of my kids with the "Hey VocalPoint Mom!" talking Rice Krispies card. Is there anything more fun then chasing the kids around the house opening up a card that yells "Hey" over and over and over again.

I jumped when I opened the card and it started screeching at me.


Eloy happily took it to show to his Gateway kids (pre engineering), those cards are a nice little piece of technology to show kids how engineering can be used in many instances... even annoying screeching advertising.

Actually I remember thinking that I would have been very happy if they had sent another Free box of Rice Krispies coupon in lieu of that expensive little piece of junk.

Luckily Costco had a GINORMOUS box of Rice Krispies on sale and I got my money's worth with that coupon.

Hubby and I are in the Boy Scouts! Alex too.. Of course. Frelan is going to be the Cub Master. He is in charge of the whole thing.. I will be the committee Chair... In charge of all paper work, money.. and everything else. Now we just need a couple of Den Masters, and we are good to go. The guy was like.. Okay, since you signed up.. no we need to go over all this membership stuff. I was like.. NOW?? I dont even know what Im doing yet!

Alright ladies, what am I going to do about my mother? She keeps trying to make me invite her new brother in law to my wedding. I don't know him, I met him once and really didn't like him.

She first tried to get me to invite his family to my engagement party but then I didn't have one, I told her they aren't coming to the wedding I don't know them. We're now doing a brunch after the wedding for people who can't make it to Aruba and she's telling me to invite them (BIL's fam) to the brunch! I DON'T KNOW THEM! She told me it's normal to have people at my wedding that I don't know.

I would point out that I'm paying but then she'll offer to pay for his plate and I really just don't want him there it's stupid. STUPID! I'm really trying to avoid a fight with her but she's not making it easy. STUPID!

I still think I did the right thing, I let my parents do what they wanted for my wedding.. we just showed up on the appointed day.

My mom recently remarried and is constantly trying to make her new family my new family, but I'm 26 not 6. I met this guy once and he sucked, his wife is nice but seriously I don't know them and don't want them there, but my mom is so annoying to fight with. She pouts and then ignores me like a teenager

its YOUR wedding that YOUR paying for. so ofc, its your choice.

BUT its also good to get to know your family better. If you dont invite him, it could be strange later on, i mean, they are still "technically" family. You never know what the future would hold with him. id say, take that chance and get to know them better!

GRRRRR!! It is NOT normal to have people at your wedding you dont know! I hate wedding drama. I thought I was bypassing all that by getting married in Vegas, but I totally didnt. My mom almost didnt come to mine, because we had a HUGE fight right before. She wanted to control the entire thing.. She thought I wasnt planning it right, and tried to take over. NO THANK YOU. It was ugly. My dad paid for it... But my mom didnt know that. He had his own money that he snuck to me on the side.

My mom is the same way.. she has a "crush" on some guy... and is really pushing for us to meet him. We are going for a visit this weekend, and my husband is cleaning out her gutters... She was like, oh, I wish... this dude... was going to be around to help! Then you could meet him! I dont want to! She is crazy. That part of her life is NOT part of mine. I am an adult with my own family. We are visiting HER. I dont care about anyone else! Besides.. My husband can clean gutters out with out some stupid old man helping out!

ANYWAYS! It is your party. Pt your foot down! Unless you would rather just keep the peace with your mom. Sometimes that is more important. right now.. In my life.. Its not. In this kind of thing. It would be more important to me to have a nice time at my party..BUT.. I have a ton of kids that I dont like people around that I dont feel comfortable with. So that totally clouds my judgment.

MAN I am crabby tonight! Jasmine was up ALL night last night. Little turd. Then she wouldnt nap today. All she wanted to do was SCREAM. To top it all off.. We ALL over slept. Well. Me and the kids. We woke up 7:30. Not to bad, except Alex has to be out the door to school at 7:10. Seeing as how we only have the one car, Alex stayed home today. We have got to get a second car for DH to drive to work.

He is back working some over time.. Not a ton, but he went in an hour early, and stayed an hour late. Tomorrow he goes in early again. So he is getting up at 3:30. YUCK. I finally had Jazz alseep last night, and he WOKE her up. Yes. At 3:30. I almost killed him! OH MY GOD. I hear Vinny. I am so done with these babies.
