The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

I sold some of DBF's old sunglasses on ebay and made $121.00 on three pairs. Not too bad for stuff that's been sitting around for months.:thumbsup2 Plus I sold some old dirtbike parts. I've got $155.44 so far. My goal before December is to make enough on eBay to pay for our cruise and have some spending money.

Awesome! I haven't done much with ebay, had really good response using Craigslist for big ticket items. But Craislist is pain sometimes when people fail to show up and then you need to relist it again. :headache:

We sold DBF's CRX on craiglist. Many times people would call to come see it and we would stay home and no one would show up. We finally sold it to these 3 kids (late teens, early 20's maybe) who were buying it together :confused3. They were so funny and kept saying how they liked our house and our dog and DBF's bikes. :rotfl: DBF let the girl ride one of his dirt bikes and she was SO excited. It was funny. Now one of the guys emails DBF all the time and tells him different things he's done with the car. I think they are going to come back out and ride one of these weekends. I told DBF he made some little friends.

Awesome! Lately we have bought and sold our motorcycles on Craigslist. Yeah, sometimes people don't show up, but DH has learned when people call, he tells them a day that he plans on being home all day and they can just drop by (or not). We've also gotten some great deals on motorcycles for the kids.:thumbsup2

hmm, maybe I should go through my stuff and see if I have anything to sell. I still haven't found a job, there isn't really much being advertised. Selling crap might make me feel better.

:hug:I'm sure you'll find something soon.

I think the Tag Fairy needs to check this out. :wizard:Selling crap might make me feel better....that would look great!:lmao:

I'm sorry ladies but I have no idea how you have one baby let alone 2 or 3 or 4. I had some epic period cramps yesterday that had me on the floor feeling I was being stabbed on the inside. If having a baby will be WORSE than that, NO THANK YOU! I'll just play with all your babies and be glad my cramps only last a few seconds.

Recently my cycle has been wacky. I skipped almost two months and then had it for 2 weeks. I went to the doctor and did a pelvic ultrasound. They said everything is fine but they saw a tiny simple cyst in my right ovary, which is what most likely caused the irregular cycle. The doctor said it's nothing serious and will most likely correct itself on its own. I'm glad it'a not polycystic ovarion syndrome, which is what my sister has.

I always get bad cramps too and it sucks. :sad2:

Good Morning Hyenas! It's a beautiful day here...we are going to be in the 80's & 90's all week long. This is a wonderful time of year here...some years! We can have beautiful sunny, warm days. But then when the sun goes down we are in the 40's & 50's, so no hot, sleepless nights.

Busy weekend at my house. I cleaned the freezer & fridge from top to bottom. All I have to say about the coils underneath is :eek::eek:. Yesterday we cleaned out and rearranged DS's room, I shampooed his carpet and also cleaned out the trailer. We've been so busy camping this summer I've not really had a chance to get any deep cleaning done and now is that time!

Actually at the end of October and first of November is my go thru the entire house and clean everything! That's when DH goes on his elk hunting trip. But I'm thinking that I might like to join him for a couple of days this year. So I'm trying to get my fall cleaning done early.

It was strange cleaning DS's room. He's definitely done being a little kid. :sad1: Yes, there are a few toys left, but I'm pretty sure those will disappear soon. To top it off, DD applied to Washington State University and Concordia University (a Lutheran college in Portland) this weekend. My babies are growing up!:flower3::scared1::flower3::scared1::flower3::scared1: As you can tell I have mixed feelings.

So... we went to the fair on Saturday. it was WONDERFUL! We had so much fun! The babies were really well behaved for being cooped up in their stroller all day. We took them out of the carriers, and just had them sitting the stroller so they could look around at everything. They were so cute looking at all the new stuff.

We saw Darth Vadar, storm troopers, Obi Wan, and Dora. We took the kiddos to look at all the animals, and they just loved that.. we did the cheesy fair stuff, and some rides. Things like that really make you appreciate Disney. It was like $3. to $5 per ride. NUTS! We had 45 tickets, and they only rode a few rides.. I couldnt believe how expensive everything was! We got Earthquake burgers for lunch... which are GIGANTIC burgers. We had 3 burgers, 2 hot dogs, and a brick of fries.. For $50.!! :scared1: It was to much food.. We brought home an entire burger.

My mom came with us, and I have to say.. it was really nice to have that extra set of hands. Someone else to hold a baby so Frelan could take the big kids on rides.. or to push the stroller... or hold a big kids hand.. It really made me realize... 4 kids under the age of 8 is a lot! :lmao:

No pics of the babies at the fair... but here is one from that night. They were really tired.. So please excuse how rough they look. :lmao:

It's ok, I have survived cleaning the fridge.:rotfl2::lmao:

Cute pic's. Wish I would have known your mom was headed up. I got another can of formula in the mail and could have given it to her. I sent you the coupons and checks though.:thumbsup2

You have a nice looking family there Staley. And look at the length of those babies eye lashes! Jealous.

I was thrown off a bit when I read Concordia, until I noticed that it was in Portland.

We have a Concordia University in St Paul and Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.

Did some searching and located Concordia Universities in Texas, Wisconsin and even Quebec, Canada.

Talk about confusing!

Justin (junior this year) will likely go to a local community college for his transfer curriculum/ Associate degree. Unless he gets some really good scholarships that pay all of his tuition elsewhere... :rotfl2: ya right?! He's already told us that he doesn't plan to leave Minnesota, luckily there are jobs in the engineering field around here thanks to Medtronic, 3M, General Mills, etc... depending on what type of engineering he decides to pursue.

We're heading into the "all grown up" phase, scary and exciting to watch them make these important life choices. And a little sad, knowing they will leave us soon enough.

Does your state have the Running Start program like WA does? I know that many states do, although they all call it something different. Sure does help on the college bill, even if they only take 1 class a quarter, that's one less class you have to pay for.

Due to our state budget this year we have to pay college fees, but not tuition. Last year it only cost up about $10 or less per quarter. So DD's 2 classes this quarter cost us $80, plus $25 for a book. Luckily no expensive books this quarter!:thumbsup2 Still a bargain though!

Part of the reason we are looking at Portland State University and Concordia is that DD can do a co-enrollment at the community college she now attends. They try to make it affordable and she can do lots of classes at the community college (cheaper) and do the ones not offered there at the 4 year university. She will also be guaranteed enrollment if she signs up.:thumbsup2 Not to mention she can still live at home if she goes to either of those colleges. Did you know that college dorm room and meal plan cost almost as much as tuition each semester?:scared1:

Her other choices are Washington State University (a BIG college located in Eastern WA) or Eastern WU (also in Eastern WA) or third Western WU (located in Bellingham, above Seattle, near the Canadian border).

I'm very torn on where I would like to see her. WSU is far away and known as a party university, but has probably the best program for Fitness & Health degrees. I think I would worry more about her being there. But then again, time to cut the apron strings I guess.

She is very torn also. If she stays at home, she will get a part time job, live at home and go to school in Portland. But that means living with Mom & Dad for a few more years. If she goes to one of the other universities, her mx racing will pretty much be gone.

She got a really good SAT score (and did absolutely no studying). I'm still trying to encourage her to study and get a higher score, but I get "the look". I can only imagine what her score would be if she actually studied and applied herself.:sad2: Anyway, it's high enough to get her into pretty much any college she wants, plus she has a 3.75 GPA. It's very frustrating to me, because if my parents had offered me an opportunity to go to college, I guarantee you I would have been applying at Harvard, Yale, Stanford! She just seems to be oblivious to what she is able to accomplish and what is being offered to her. Oh well, I guess I just need to back off and let her live her own life.

My period is late. :scared1:

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My period is late. :scared1:

OMG! You don't think you could be pregnant do you???

I sure hope not. We have been REALLY careful. But really. how much would I just have to laugh. In an... omg my life is falling apart kinda way. :lmao:

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're joking.. right??

OMG, I tell ya when nature wants something.. it strives very hard to get it!!
I'm hoping not.. but wow.. just wow... it would make life at the Staley house even more lively! Do I dare say it?? what if.. it's more than one... again! :scared1:
Laugh or cry?.. laugh or cry?... good luck and do some praying to mother nature for your monthly "gift" :lmao::eek::guilty::lmao::rotfl2::goodvibes
