The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

That sucks!

I've been very lucky lately, hubby is good at picking out cashiers for me. We have one at Super Target that happily takes every coupon with a smile and a cheerful "have a good day!"
We stalk her each time we go now.

I felt bad for my sis, I showed her how to match up Target printables and the Kraft printable coupons.. she was excited to net some free, cheap groceries. Well, the store still had old signage up.. she had to go to CS and argue the prices.. They gave her the "you shouldn't be able to use coupons on sale items, but I will do it this ONCE" line.

You're not alone, have you read any recent Target posts on A Full Cup? There are many many many stories of rude cashiers, grumpy managers specifically at Target. I think they are feeling the pinch and have been told to be more cautious with coupon redemptions by corporate.
I understand they are watching their bottomline and are hurting.. but lousy service just loses more people.

Interesting footnote.. I've been reading of more couponers going to Walmart.. and having a GREAT experience.:thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I don't go to the Target by my work often anymore. The clothes styles they carry just don't really interest me anymore. That store used to be really busy, now hardly anyone is in there. :confused3 I mainly go in there to hit the clearance items. Since they aren't very busy they have lots of clearance lately, especially in their food section. We don't have a Super Target, but they did recently enlarge their food area.

I use coupons at Walmart all the time and have never had a problem. The ones near me seem to be very coupon friendly.:thumbsup2

Those pictures were great! E looked over my shoulder and shouted out "BABIES!" He loves nakey baby pcitures.

And then he realized "hey those are the shirts you bought right?"

Yep! And wow do they fill them out already! I thought they were HUGE when I bought them. They are so stinkin cute! :cutie:

Yeah, they changed their clothing line a few years ago, haven't bought a single piece of clothing from Target since then. Gaudy colors, bad design. Yuck

Meanwhile, JC Penney's has reinvented itself. I have to be very careful in that store now. I love those $10 off $10 coupons.. droooool droooool

There are clips of it on You tube.:thumbsup2
cool!

it's that time again.. hmm, I think this one is a little off...

I don't know what they were thinking. They used to carry normal clothes. Now about 80% of their clothes are just weird.

Had a $10 off $10 coupon that was good right before Mother's Day, but I got busy and didn't make it there. I like to order online from their Outlet/Clearance. Then if it doesn't fit I can take it back to the store and not have to bother shipping it back.:thumbsup2

Hi Pix! Sorry, but I'm headed to bed also. Didn't sleep real good last night, my neck was hurting again. So I'm going to call it a night.

Happy Dreams!:cloud9:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay: HOORAY! LAKERS WON!! WOOT!!

I'm so happy!! :cutie:

I made it to Target about 30 minutes before they closed. :faint: Phew! It's nice to shop there when there isn't too many people.

:goodvibes I LOVE those shirts!! We are very quickly reaching the end of them being able to use them. I had to really stretch them to get them on the last time. :lmao: But they are SOOOO cute, it makes me sad. Those shirt were huge! The sizing said 0-3 months.. but it was more like 6 months.

Good Morning All! Hope everyone had a restful night. Today is a beautiful 83 degree day here.:thumbsup2

DH really likes his new job so far. They have EXCELLENT benefits. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with company match, college or professional training reimbursement. They even have a Health Reimbursment Account plan where the company reimburses you for the $1,000 deductible on your medical insurance. In addition, they also have a plan where you can put aside pre-tax money to pay for items not covered by insurance, ie. co-payments, over the counter items, bandaids, that kind of thing. They also have a plan that takes pre-tax money for child care or adult care. We are past the child care stage, BUT...it also covers day camps. So if either of the kids wants to attend, say a soccer camp, motocross riding camp, etc...we can have money taken out pre-tax from DH's paycheck. Essentially it saves you 30% of the cost.:thumbsup2

In addition it can also cover adult care. So if my FIL were to pass away and we had to take care of my MIL who has MS. As long as she lived with us it, we could also get the pre-tax dollars saved for adult care and housekeeping. How cool is that?!:thumbsup2

We don't really know what his work schedule is going to be yet. They generally work 4-12 hour days and then 3 days off, followed by 3-12 hour days and then 3 days off...or something like that. But this week he is just training, learning the ropes, learning safety procedures, etc.

They are a smaller company with 40-50 employees and they are very much into cross training. So DH is excited about that...not always doing the same old thing day after day. :thumbsup2

We ahve that pre-tax medical thingy at my work too. I like it because if you need to you can use all the money right away and they will just keep taking money out of my check every two weeks.

Glad to hear your DH likes his new job :) Does this mean you will be planning a trip to DL? ;)

You bet!:thumbsup2 I'm thinking maybe after school starts this fall. Since I had the expensive MRI that cost $2,000 my funds are a bit low right now. I had to take my Bahamas trip money and pay that. So I've got about $2,000 left to pay on my credit card for that trip. BLEECH!! Now I'm going to have a nice little ER bill I'm sure. We have medical insurance and hopefully I've met most of my deductible. But I'm sure they will find a way to not pay part of it. Anyway, figure I will end up paying on that this summer. Best case scenario, they will pay most of it. Worst case, they will try denying part of it. Who knows at this point.:confused3

I don't really want to come down in the summer, so I think I can look forward to a trip this fall.:thumbsup2 Besides, DH is looking at buying DS a new (used) motorcycle this week. So I figure next is my turn at something fun.:rotfl:

Just testing my siggy.

CAAAHHHHAAAAAUUUUUUTTTTTEEEEEEE!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

BTW Pix, do you still have the link to the tag you made for me? I accidentally erased it when I was playing around with my siggie a long time ago. But I was thinking that I might like to put it back on...you remember the one "Tag Fairy Repellant".:lmao::thumbsup2

We are SOO planning our family trip already. We are really hoping to be able to go in the spring, for the babies first birthday, but DH might not have the vacation available due to the shop closing down at Christmas.. He might have to use it all then. I am HOPING not.. Otherwise we go at Halloween.. Maybe we can even go twice. ;):lmao:

We are planning Legoland, Universal, Disneyland, my sister house, and camping in the Redwoods.. 2 maybe three weeks. Only one night of camping.. Im not a huge fan.

Woohoo! Legoland! Dizzy's favorite!!! :teeth: ;) :rotfl:

Our Universal Studios is not as fun as Florida's. :( I wish they would improve it. I can't believe their admission costs about the same as going to DL. :faint:
