MIL is July 4th
DH is July 5th

In his famly, his brother is end of June, sister is mid July.
Mine is June 17th.

They've always made a big fuss for 4th of July to "celebrate all the birthdays"

This is the first year that MIL does not have a house, typically we go there.. she makes BBQ (dried out, overcooked and sits out all day.. meat only no vegies), they drink (alot) and shoot off fireworks while burning a year's worth of junk in the backyard. {insert sarcasasm}Yeee-haw!! Just a ton of fun... (borrowing from Dizzy here)

We stay overnight in a tent. Drive 3 hours home, shower, eat vegetables and scratch at the mosquito bites.

Oh, and get the car washed as it is now covered in ash from the junk pile "bonfire".

Hey at least it was an incentive for DH to actually get the car washed!!

Our poor car is filthy most of the year, can't wash it most of the winter due to belwo freezing temps and then he puts it off for weeks on end until I start planting car wash coupons in his wallet.

We thought of camping this year but the state parks require multi day reservations for holiday weekends. I like camping, but not with that many people, for that many days and not during a holiday when the park is noisy and crowded. One or two nights mid week? Perfect!

SIL is May 31st, Mine is June 6th, my brother's is June 10th, DBF's is July 3rd, my mom's is July 7th and my dad's is July 6th, DBF's DD's is July 23rd, my niece's is July ???, ahh, I forgot the date, shh, don't tell BFF. .

I was thinking towards middle or end of June. I'm not sure yet. My b-day is July 2nd but I don't think it would be a good idea to go that week.

I read on the disneyland website that if you have an AP and can get in free on your b-day without the free ticket offer, they offer you some sort of birthday fun card that is equivalent to the cost of 1 day admission to the park. That sounds kinda cool.

Yep, pretty neat. I signed up for the free ticket on my birthday too, but since DBF's cousin will have to get him in so he can go too I will just have her get me in too because she will get up park hoppers and the free birthday ticket is for Disneyland only.

Oops, just realized that was Christina posting about body wash. I thought it was Sarah. Never mind...probably not a lot of Winco's over there! But maybe try Dove Heavy Moisturizing, since I use the generic version.

DH started his new job today.

It was kind of nice to get back to my normal schedule. When he's home or working oddball schedules it just completely throws me off. I've had my same morning schedule since the kids were little and when he gets thrown into the mix things just don't flow the same.

This is sooooo true. Unfortunately I am about a three hour drive from you now, and tend to avoid any rump kickings when you are above 100 degrees - so pencil me in for mid - November and I will take care of him

Everyone here loves Philosophy products. I've never tried their stuff, what do you like? Do you know if their body wash is any good? I need a body wash.

I haven't tried their body wash before, so this will be the first I'll let you know how it is. I always use Carress Body Wash (the one that is original scent).

Philosophy makes good products and so does L'Occitane. I like this new Apricots & Cream scent Philosophy has. It smells really good. They also have a scent called birthday cake that smells good too

You're SUPPOSED to clean under the couch cushions?? Seriously I was under the impression that hidden spots such as that only get cleaned when you move or die. Likewise under the furniture...dust bunnies may be an endangered species someday and I have no desire to participate in their eradication from our planet.

I'm going to Target at lunch time to buy some new underwear. Why is it that pretty underwear are never comfortable? Is there some sort of strange law that I don't know about...the prettier the underwear the more they ride up your butt??

Anyway, all of my ugly cotton Hanes undies are falling apart...literally...the stitching in the seams is coming apart, I can see the elastic on the leg bands and they have holes all over...ahhh...but they are so comfy.

So it's time for a trip to Target.

I really need to get back to work. I need to finish financial statements before lunch time. Then at 12:30 I have to sign DD up for this fall's college classes. Easy enough to do, but just have to wait until her 12:30 appointment time to do that. Then off to drop off some deposits at the bank and go get me some unholey undies!

I may be a large size woman.. but that doesn't mean I want to wear gigantic granny panties, that only come in white cotton or weird iridiscent colors in nylon. YUCK!

Lane Bryant has cute ones, but they tend to have cheeky style..I really want to be covered when it's 20 below in winter.. seriously cold frozen butt cheeks are no fun!
Besides, picking the undies out of my butt all day .. not what I call an ideal way to spend my time.

I found a fruit of the loom hipsters style.. in cute patterns! Not just white! Comfy , no scratchy tag, covers the cheeks but doesn't cover above my pant line Alas, Target does not carry them in my size... and my local Wal-ma-part only has them in WHITE!



Whenever we are out shopping I prowl the undie section .. to find the elusive pretty and cute to cover my ampleness.

Found the underwear I wanted, 6 pair to a package. Now I'm all set for the next 5 years or so.

GRRR!!!! Got a really nasty, mean clerk at Target. She had "serious concerns" about my coupons.

1. My $0.55 off coupon for Lucky Charms. Does not specify a size, so I bought the tiny little cups that were on the clearance rack. She felt it was not "in the spirit of the coupon" because they were then almost free. WTH??!!

2. She also didn't think it "fair" that I was using coupons on clearance items and getting products for almost free. My $1 off coupon for Clean & Clear was used on $1.58 product.

3. They had "Value Packs" of 409 cleaner on sale for $2.71. They contained Formula 409 cleaner, window cleaner and Clorox disenfecting cleaner, so basically 3 bottles for the price of 1! She thought I shouldn't be able to use the 409, 75 cent coupon because it contained other products. I told her FINE! How about if I also use my Windex 55 cent coupon and Clorox 55 cent coupon in addition to the 409 coupon?! Since she considered them individual products. Well that shut her up on that one.

I finally told her that if she had a problem with my coupon usage I would be happy to have her void my sale and call a manager. Geesh, I think that lady needs to get a life. It's not like I'm taking money out of her pocket.

Most clerks think it's neat that you get stuff for almost nothing. Not this lady. So I've made a mental note to not get in Donna's line ever again.

I hope that her underwear go up her butt for the rest of the week!
