SO... we went to a Cub Scout meeting at Alex's school.. Just an informational meeting. Turns out they dont have a group at Alex's school.. they want to start one. So they had NO leadership or anything set up yet. They wanted volunteers.. Guess who volunteered?? MY HUSBAND! and NO ONE ELSE. He was thinking that he might try for assistant leader or something.. But none of the other parents were offering up, so he did. The head guy is supposed to call tomorrow, so we will get all the info then.

One more thing for me to do.. But Im excited about it. Alex was SO excited that his dad is going to be the leader. I told my mom, and she got all mad. Said we have to much going on already, and this will just be to much. Maybe so, but it is what we signed up for by having so many kids, you know? We knew things were going to get more hectic when he went into this year.. Plus it looks like something that will involve the whole family, and that is really good.

Dh was a cub scout as a kid, and I was a girl scout.. so this was something that we always wanted to get the kiddos into. and if he is the only parent willing to step up, then he is glad to do it. But it means that I dont get to join the moms of multiples group like I had planned. Oh well. I like kids more then grown women, for the most part.

That's awesome! I was a girl scout leader. The one thing I liked was they let me decide when/where/how often to have meetings. As a working mom I just didn't have the time to plan something every week. So my troop met only once a month. We met from 9am-4pm on the last Saturday of the month. I just called them a few days ahead of time to remind. Plus, that gave me all month to plan activities. You guys will have fun.

Awesome! I am waiting for the guy to call us. Frelan has already started the training online for the leader stuff.. He is really getting excited for it. He is already thinking up stuff for the boys to do.

I haven't read back on this thread but I hope you guys are all doing well.

I've been reading more lately and just finished a book called: "How Starbucks Saved My Life." It's not bad and it's basically about a 65 yr old man who works as a barista for Starbucks after he was fired from working for an ad agency (he worked there for years). I got it at Barnes & Nobel for $4.98 on clearance. You can see it here:

Right now I'm currently reading "Alone in the Kitchen With An Eggplant. Confessions of Cooking for One and Dining Alone." It's actually interesting so far

I also bought the 3rd book (just came out) of the Mysterious Benedict Society series. My little sister loves this too.

I went to Aerie (it's a sister store to American Eagle Outfitters). You have to sign up in there store but you basically get a punch card. There is no purchase necessary, no fees. You pick any one Thursday of each month and they punch the card and give you a free gift. I got one today which was a cute makeup bag that came with brushes. I went to American Eagle Outfitters yesterday and tried one some jeans. They turned out to be too big and I tried one size smaller and they fit!! I was so happy!! Yay for loseing weight!!

My co-worker (she's Korean) mentioned it when she walked past me yesterday as well. She said: "Oooh, you lost weight! I can see! Soon you be sexy mama!!"

Good morning! I hope you all have a great weekend.

I think we are just staying home this weekend. We went to Las Vegas last weekend for the U.S. Open Supercross race at the MGM. Probably just going to watch it on T.V. tomorrow. I'd like to go to the Queen Mary for the haunted houses (still haven't made it down there yet this year) but we'll see.

One of my co-workers has a cold and she's been coughing without covering her mouth! It's actually scares me and I try to stay away from her. I also have been keeping a bottle of Purell on my desk to use because everyone logs in and out of 2 PC's and I don't want to get sick. I believe 2 or 3 other co-workers are sick also.

On a happier note, I am contemplating going to DL tomorrow. I would probably try to go early because I want to take pics of the pumpkins they have over in Big Thunder Ranch. I saw some pics online and they did one of the characters from Up, Monster's Inc, Mickey & Minnie, and some other ones. I would love to take pics and see them all.

I do not like this fickle weather. First it rained for 1-2 days and now it's windy but really hot (it was 104 outside awhile ago). Blech!

Sitting at b& n . We have no Internet until Wednesday, qwest called e's cell but never rang the door buzzer. He assumed no one was home, argh! The cell was forgotten in the car all day, didn't figure it out until late Friday that he left messages on the cell. I was like duh! Why didn't they call home phone or attempt to knock on the door ? Sigh, cpmcast locked us out of the Internet but they haven't come out to disconnect phone and cAble
Justin's band did well at boa they placed 2nd for their class , went on to finals ( out of 60 bands, 20 went to finals) placed 11th in finals. He had a blast f course.

Man alive is our thread not busy!! LOL. I just wanted to share...


I hope you are all doing well. I went to the park yesterday afternoon (man was it packed!). I just walked around and took some pics of the pumpkins around the park and also decided to do some shopping with the birthday fun card (gift card) I had received a few months ago.

I was shopping in DL and browsing and later spotted this shoulder bag in World of Disney in DTD:

I thought it was kinda cute and I rarely see Alice items.

Where has everyone gone?

I'm being a bad friend. My friend has this most annoying baby who just screams, a really loud awful screaming cry. I cancelled my workout class last wednesday to babysit so she could go out for her birthday. Now she wants me to sit again this Friday so she can go out for her brothers birthday. She's throwing her bro a big BBQ birthday party on Saturday but wants to take him out on Friday too.

I sooooooo don't want to do it. I thought last time the neighbours were going to come and ask me what I was doing to that baby she screamed so hard and the whole time I watched her. Problem is I have no excuse to get out of watching the kid on Friday. I don't know what to do, a good friend would tough it out and just watch the kid. But I was a good friend last week!

Did they do a Dia De La Muertos display this year (over by Rancho)? We got a kick out of it last time, fun display, they had face paining and some crafts at set times and a nice nod to the Latino culture.

Yes, they did have that and they had a small table where they were doing face painting. I wasn't really paying attention but there were a lot of people there when I walked by.

I was so tempted to try the new BBQ character meal they have in BTR but it would have cost too much for just 1 person. It also is family style food (ribs, chicken, corn, cornbread, etc) and I don't think I could have finished it. I think it's good for 2 people or more. Maybe next time I believe Woody and Jesse hang out over there and stop by your table or stand off to the side so you can take pics with them.

B!! your back! I wanna go to Disneyland. To bad we could NEVER afford it. I have enough airline miles for a free trip though.. Maybe I could scrape up some cash and say that it is my Christmas/Birthday present?? Probably not. Dang kids.. Always wanting to eat.

HATING my husband being on day shift. I am SOO freaking tired. I want to kill my husband. He is such a loud sleeper. and I dont get a break AT ALL. I am up at 4:30 when he goes to work.. I have to get Alex up at 7 and off to school.. then the babies and Kaylee fed and taken care of. They never nap at the same time.. Plus they are up ALL NIGHT because they cant sleep because my husband is a LOUD sleeper. The other night it was Vinny.. then Kaylee.. then Jazzy.. then we started all over again!

Then HE gets home from worn and thinks he can just sit around and do nothing while I take care of all the other stuff that needs to get done.

I know we all need to adjust to this, but I am DONE. He was much more helpful in the mornings.. I think having everyone home and lively when he gets home is to overwhelming for him. I need a nap.

On the plus side.. Vinny is DAYS away from crawling! I am so excited!! He is so cute!! They are almost holding their bottles.. and they are just TO DARN CUTE!

Aww, that's sucky Staley. I seriously cannot imagine doing what you mothers do. Babysitting a screaming baby for two hours is too much for me, you women who have more than one baby and have to live them deserve medals and money and a luxury yacht.
