The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

I'm watching the little guy this afternoon, he's easy.. handed him some cars to race down the arm of my couch, put on Elmo in Grouchland (thank you Netflix) and he's happily playing with some harmony balls that we found at the thrift store.. as long as he doesn't thrown them (heavy) all should be good. :thumbsup2

funnygarcia;Truth: I've been feeling wishy washy about the trip .. just freaking out over paying money when I know we have been a bit tight in budget. But Eloy tells me [COLOR="Blue" said:
"you're going, don't worry about it"[/COLOR] but? but? but? Are you sure?? He glares at me... "yes, you're going"... okay, fine... whatever you say sweetie:flower3:

I swear we had the same conversation at our house.:lmao: Me freaking out over spending money and him saying GO!

But now that I've booked the tickets, I'm feeling much better about it.

Now there's an accident waiting to happen!

Have I mentioned what a FUN week I've been having with a new computer? Got everything set up, finally got all my files where they need to be, etc....now I download McAfee Virus Scan.

PROBLEM!! Their new version does not support Windows 7. So finally after 2 days we figure that out. But their old version that works with Vista works fine with Windows 7. Finally got the old version downloaded and then

PROBLEM!!! Windows 7 does not use Outlook Express, instead it uses Windows Live Mail. McAfee tries to block Port 25 from sending mass emails...well it basically blocks any emails from being sent thru that port, which happens to be the Port that Live Mail uses. After being transferred to several third world countries, finally they had to send me back to a tech in the US of A! He knew exactly what the problem was and how to solve it. :thumbsup2

But sheesh, it took me 2 days to get the anti virus program running. I guess users of Norton are having the same problem also.

My brother the computer geek told me Norton sucks.. he had me install AVG instead. Free, the perfect price.. have I mentioned my brother the computer geek is also a tightwad of the most miserly sense?

Thats what my dh uses on ours.. I think. He is always trying to get me involved in all this computer nonsense. Bah. If I learn how to do everything he does, what do I need him for?? :lmao:

I have a free one called Clam Win on mine at home. It works just fine. But the one we have for work is a bit fancier. Honestly, we need top notch anti virus here...some of the guys may be downloading questionable things on their computers. :scared1: So I have the on access McAfee that scans constantly.

I've heard AVG is a good program.:thumbsup2

:lmao: Justin gave me back the harmony balls to put away..

what? are you nervous?

YES!

:lmao:

Now they are tossing a squeaky tennis ball back and forth instead.

Too funny! OK, so now that we all know for sure that we need to make it a budget vacation...I need to ask for your help. Stop me from making this an expensive vacation! I plan cheap vacations and then end up going first class.

So far I've spent $5 on airfare...still within budget.

I received our first $100 Marriott gift card. I'm hoping his additional points post Friday and I can order at least one more. So that will give us $200 off the room.

Then we really need to plan where we are staying!! I vote for something right across from DL. Have we checked to see how much the Fairfield is?

Faifield sounds good, the lower rate is for a pre paid.. would that work with gift cards??

When DD was about3 she grabbed our gumball machine from the entertainment center and I turned around just as she was smashing it to the floor....glass & gumballs rolling everywhere in the dining room. She started screaming GUM! GUM! GUMMMMMM!!!!!!

I had to run and grab her before she stepped on glass and inserted it into her mouth along with about 200 gumballs. When I asked her why she did it, she replied "we were out of pennies in the dish".:lmao: Seems I had a dish of pennies nearby and it was empty.

:eek::eek:KIDS!!! Its a wonder we havent all just dropped dead from heart attacks, isnt it? :sad2:

I would think they would. Guess I'll have to call and check to make sure. Another option is to stay at a different hotel and see if we can use the gift cards at the Marriott Convention Center restaurants...we could eat our meals there.

yeah.. how fun.

He's a mellow kid, the most he does is dump stuff on the floor (like every single video my sister owns pulled from the shelf). He's the size of a toddler, a small toddler not a monster child.. there is really not much he can do.

The rates have changed again, now it's cheaper as pre pay for the Marriot convention center ($79)

I just called on the code we received in the mail. The cheapest we could get is Paradise Pier for $156 first night, and $168 the next 3 nights.
