The rates have changed again, now it's cheaper as pre pay for the Marriot convention center ($79)

My brain said... AHHHH!!! Double BEDS!! NO!!!! But then I remembered that my husband isnt going, so it doesnt matter. DUH!

Wow! That's a great rate. I'm calling them now to see if I can use the travel gift card on that rate.

I have an AP, the rates are a bit lower according to what I read on Mousesavers... but ummm my credit card is maxed out thanks to paying 6 months at once for medicare premiums that I will eventually have reversed once they figure out the state paid for it instead... slow wheels of government grinding away.

How will we get to Disneyland from there??? There IS a shuttle right?? I would be a gigantic fat lump of goo if I had to walk all that way, and walk through DL.

The lady at their reservation center seemed confused. She said I needed to call that hotel and speak to the front desk and ask. So I'll do that after I get the cards.

I did notice that their AAA rate was $89 and is totally cancellable (up to the day ahead). I'm pretty sure I could book that one and hold it with my credit card and then just give them the gift travel cards when we get there.

yep the ART stops right in front, I've walked TO disneyland from there.. wide awake much too early thanks to the time difference and too anxious to wait around.. but we always took the shuttle back.

We stayed there a few years ago when Priceline was easy peasy for bidding.. They have a pizza hut and starbucks in the lobby, very comfy beds, the pool was smaller and I can't remember details on the hot tub/jacuzzi.

Across Harbor at the end of Convention Way is a farmer/ fruit stand, down Harbor closer to DL is a 7-11 to pick up snackage.

I've got the one card for $100 already and hopefully by this weekend his other points will post. So then I can order. It takes 12,500 points to get a $100 card and I have 2,515 points left in the account. So I'm crossing my fingers that I can get about $150 more. That would give us a nice start on the room if we had $250 of gift cards to put towards it.

I remember the shuttle from airport being about $30 to/from Lax... hmmmm

aaaaahhhhhhhhhh $10 one way from SNA shared ($43 for executive sedan)
