Hey, ladies! What's up? :wave2:

Tigger, what a wonderful TR!!! :goodvibes

Your pics turned out great and I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas!!

Mmm.. gumbo from Louisiana, sounds goood!

and OMG,  YAY for the Purple Granny :worship: !! She is clearly a Unicorn. Shoulda taken a picture!! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Rora! I'm glad you enjoyed the TR. I knew you guys would get a kick out of the purple car/purple lady story. Maybe that lady could be our Unicorn godmother or something. :rotfl:

Mmmmhmmm so you got to eat the REAL gumbo! And probably from scratch too, huh? Sounds delicious!

I couldn't believe when I got to DL in New Orleans square and I saw that they put their gumbo over RED rice?! That's not how we eat gumbo at all! I definitely didn't get any of that! Haha! I did order Beignets though and they were fabulous! So they don't really screw up ALL of their cajun food there...just that gumbo...I couldn't get over that!

Great report! I'm glad y'all had fun!

Yup, the gumbo was made from scratch. She put everything but the kitchen sink into that gumbo. Crab, andouille sausage, shrimp.........you name it, it was probably in it. It was deeeeelish!

I haven't tried the gumbo at DL. Since they serve it with the wrong kind of rice, I shall turn up my nose at it. I can't be seen eating gumbo that's not authentic. My Nana may hear about it and have me arrested!! :rotfl2: I had no idea that they served beignets at DL!! I LOVE beignets!! :lovestruc I'll have to look for them the next time I'm there.

Glad you enjoyed the TR! Thanks for coming along for the ride! :)

Hey ladies, I could really use some hot guys right now. I just heard from my endocrinologist. He's not ready to sign off on the surgery, so I can't schedule it yet. I'm devastated. I have to continue testing for the Cushing's Disease. My heart ripped in half and I've sunk about as low as I can go.

I really need a trip to Disney, some cool Disney pins, and a big hug.

I'm so sorry to hear about this, Honu. :sad1: Why won't your endocrinologist let you schedule your surgery? Did he tell you why you need to have most tests done? I know that this must be so frustrating for you. Please don't let this keep your spirits down. Please take comfort in the fact that a lot of people who are praying for you and sending good thoughts your way. I pray that somehow you'll still be able to have your surgery soon. Here's a big hug from me. I wish that I could be there to hug you in person. Please keep us updated on this situation. We'll do our best to cheer you up and take your mind off of this.

P.S. Here are some hot men pics. I hope that they help to cheer you up.

Hi, ladies! I am insanely behind in this thread, so I won't even try to catch up! I hope all of your holidays were wonderful. We were all over the place! In between Xmas and New Year's we went to GAtlinberg, TN, too. So, I'll just try to jump back in here!

WE LOVE YOU HONU!

Honu - Sorry to hear about this. Tigger told me you were a hockey fan, like me. Name a hockey hottie and I'll post some pictures for you!

Tigger - Thanks for giving me a song to sing in my head! :rotfl: How long did it take you to get to San Fran from LA? I know the drive is supposed to be like 5 1/2 hours but with the traffic out there sometimes...

And gumbo....yummy! My stomach's rumbling. It's almost lunchtime...

Honu- I am so sorry to hear about the latest news! Like others have said, keep your head up and stay positive, and remember, your unicorn sisters are here for you!

Happy Monday, everyone! :)

Nice to have you back, Paint! :wave2:  I hope that you and your family had a great Christmas and New Year. I hope you guys had fun in Gatlinberg. What did you guys do there?

 You're welcome for the song. I forgot to suggest the Rice-a-Roni song, too! :rotfl2:

It usually takes us about 6 to 6 1/2 hours, depending on the traffic. This time around, there were a lot of people on the road and we took a wrong turn and got a little lost, so it took us a little longer.

Julez- Hey, girl! How have you been? :wave2:

Honu- Hey, Honu. I hope that you're doing all right. I'm still believing for a miracle for you.

Rora, Minnie, and Sassy- Hi! :)

Starr- We haven't seen you in a while. We miss you! :sad1:

Hey, Unicorns! We've got a couple of parties going on. Come on in and join the fun!

So, I was cleaning out a few things in my garage, and guess what I stumbled across? My Sweet Valley High board game! I used to LOVE this, played it all the time. And I was always Jessica because she got to go first and her color was pink. Did anyone else have this game??

Thanks Tigger! You know how to pick my favorite guys! :thumbsup2 I'm trying to keep my head up and keep going. I went and played with my cousin's kids yesterday so I got to be a horse, a chef, a princess, and a fairy (guess what movie they had been watching... Tinkerbell!)

WE LOVE YOU HONU!

Thanks Rora! I love you guys too! I forgot to add the first time around that I LOVE those Disney pics. They are so cool. They remind me of my favorite place on earth. Where we're going to PARTY! when I'm all better!

Honu - Sorry to hear about this. Tigger told me you were a hockey fan, like me. Name a hockey hottie and I'll post some pictures for you!

Thanks Jenny! Oh yes, big hockey fan. I love Marty Brodeur. I also used to love Mike Richter and Bill Ranford (I actually coached for a bit with him after he retired). I'm going to have to think on my hockey hotties.

Honu- I am so sorry to hear about the latest news! Like others have said, keep your head up and stay positive, and remember, your unicorn sisters are here for you!

Thanks Paint! I don't know what I'd do without my Unicorn sisters. Seriously. You guys make ma laugh. Besides, who would I talk hot guys with?????

Sorry to hear, Lisa. That sucks. Don't give up hope! Sometimes it's all we have.

Thanks Julez! I appreciate it. I have to keep going, otherwise how I am going to see the ORIGINAL Mission Control for NASA???? :confused3

I dropped off some more tests today at the lab (seriously, I know mentally handicapped people who are way more competent than the lab lady is...) but I have to put my faith in her that she will process the tests correctly and I will get my high test results to move on to surgery.

What's everyone doing today? Anything exciting? I went to see Valkyrie yesterday. Very good movie. I highly recommend it and I'm not even a big Tom Cruise fan!

I didn't have it but my friends did and we definitely played it a LOT! :rotfl2: Good times....

Ok, so I can't back you up on Brodeur because I absolutely LOATHE him. :furious: I'm a Rangers fan, it's in my genetic make-up to dislike him, I think. I can, however, agree with you 100% about Mike Richter! :thumbsup2

I never wanted to be Enid because Winston was her boyfriend in the game and he was so dorky looking! :rotfl:

 I am so jealous. I never had this game. What are you supposed to do?

There were four characters: Jessica (pink), Elizabeth (blue), Lila (yellow), and Enid (green). You would roll the dice and move your character around the board to find the objects for you "big date." For example, Jessica's objective was the prom. You had to find her dress, flowers, her b/f (Bruce Patman), the location, and favorite teacher. The others had different objectives: I remember Elizabeth's was a camping trip and you had to find Todd Wilkins and camping gear. The game board was supposed to be SVH and you would land on a space, flip a card over, and see if it was one of the things you needed to complete your objective. If it was, you put it on your game board; if it wasn't, you flipped it back. If it was for a character that wasn't being used, I just used to put them face up so you wouldn't keep going back to that spot and wasting time. Some of the cards said get a detention, which would cause you to miss a turn. If you found all of your items and got back to home base, you win!

There were also 'play a card' spaces but I don't remember what the purpose of those were.

I played this game so much that the top of the box was completely flattened out. :rotfl: God bless my mom because she was always the one playing with me!

OMG! I think my mom still has that game in her basment!

No problem about disliking Brodeur. :) It is in your genetic makeup to dislike him. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Mike Richter totally rocks! I have his goalie sticks that I use when I'm playing.

He's cute too...

I don't really have a favorite team, just like certain players.

This guy is my hero!!!!!!!! I love Ray Scapinello. That guy is the BEST linesman ever.

Hmmm, seem to be having technical difficulties. My pictures won't show up. Sigh. I'll have to try again later.

Hey, Unicorns! Happy Wednesday!!

So, I was cleaning out a few things in my garage, and guess what I stumbled across? My Sweet Valley High board game! I used to LOVE this, played it all the time. And I was always Jessica because she got to go first and her color was pink. Did anyone else have this game??

Cool! I never had that game, but I wish that I did. It looks like fun! It looks like the perfect game to play at your "I Remember the 80s/90s" party.

I'm glad that you're feeling better. Looks like you're having fun up there in Vancouver. I haven't seen the Tinkerbell movie. How was it?

I dropped off some more tests today at the lab (seriously, I know mentally handicapped people who are way more competent than the lab lady is...) but I have to put my faith in her that she will process the tests correctly and I will get my high test results to move on to surgery.

:scared: That lady had better not mess anything up. You've been through enough already. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. I'm not really up to anything right now. I'm seriously thinking about starting a new recipe thread, though. A couple of questions for you: Do you like to cook? If so, are you interested in healthier recipes?

Sheesh, I'm an idiot. I couldn't find this thread... sigh. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I really wasn't watching the movie, it looked good. The girls were watching it, I was playing Thomas the Tank Engine with the boy. The girls seemed to really enjoy it. They were playing fairies all day.

Oh trust me, the lab lady made me :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Not to mention she didn't have the supplies I needed either. So I had to mail order them from Jersey. It's going to take all week to get them. So I'll be drinking a lot of orange juice because I need the containers!!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Healthier recipes would be great. I think that's a great idea for a new thread. My Wii Fit tells me I should be eating better..... :rolleyes1 If they're easy, I'll cook. I like simple recipes with few ingredients and short cooking times.
