The TRIP of all Trips... Ana's MAW PTR... *TR STARTED* Link- Post #1901 Pg. 127

:lmao:

How do you know we didn't fly there? ;)

Nope, I'm a New Englander, I'll give you that much.
Well, HI! from one New Englander to another! LOL

Speaking of New England... we are heading to the BIG E on Friday. Melody has the day off and so do I... it is our anniversary. 6 years! WOW does time fly!

Aw, how sweet that now you'll take your little one!
I think she is really going to enjoy it. :santa:

No, actually I haven't! You think they'd let me do that and then take the chicken exit? LOL
Of course they would let you! I've seen plenty of people wait with their kids then take the chicken exit.

Thanks for the welcome! I will be back with photos.
popcorn:: ;)

Very cool about Radio City! I want to take DD but just haven't yet. It is about 3 1/2 hours from my house to NYC so I am hoping to do it as a day trip instead of staying over.
We can make it to the city in about 1 1/2 hours so it isn't a bad ride. We just have to plan leaving and coming back at the right times to avoid traffic. We are going to the 11am show so I think we are going to hit traffic. :crazy2:

I think I have done everything in DHS except Drew Carey - is that even still open? Juilana should be fine with Fantasmic if you get a chance - my DD loved it at a little over 4. I agree with everyone on the GMR - I just covered DD's eyes at the alien part when it drops from the ceiling and yes you will know when it is coming - the rest should be fine.
Looks like we will really have to try Fantasmic.

I'm going to spend the whole ride on GMR looking at the ceiling! :rotfl:

My DD has two hot pink and two purple walls in her room! Too funny!
Juliana's are not too bright... that is the only saving grace! :lmao:

If Juliana likes to draw she may enjoy the Animation Studio. We took DD for the first time when she had just turned 5 and she really liked it. She might need some help or she might just want to try it.
Maybe this wouldn't be too bad to try out. I'd be curious to see how her picture would come out. :)

I have never seen Beauty and the Beast or Voyage of the Little Mermaid. My boys, including my DH, never want to see it. We are going next June and while they are doing Star Wars Weekends stuff, I will hopefully be able to see them.
Good idea!

Let Darth Vader or a sith get a hold of them then run to B&tB. It is such a great little show! :goodvibes

The Great Movie Ride is super :scared1: SCARY :scared1:

:rotfl::lmao: j/k I really enjoyed it on my honeymoon from what I remember. I think Juliana might like it.

As for one attraction I haven't done but want to is the animation studio. Hoping to get that one in sometime...though I don't think it's in the plans for either of my upcoming trips :scratchin

still have fingers crossed, and toes for Juliana's tea party :goodvibes

I'm not an artist either (but at least I did better than Mark--pics will be posted in the Trip Report). Illuminations is okay...just not my favorite. And I'm not holding my breath for that photo (although I won't be checking every day either as we have lots of pool time and beach time planned the next week). I got Ana something but we had all our stuff shipped home so it will be awhile before I send to her (I also got her some "pixie dust" from our breakfast at the Crystal Palace).

We vote for the Great Movie Ride! (Not to give too much away on my kids Top 25 List!!!:rolleyes1.....) But they are soo excited to try this for the first time this year.

They have always said NO WAY because they knew the witch was in this, and then this summer we took the kids to a movie in the park, and it was Wizards of Oz.... well, guess what!? they are not afraid and loved it!

We then watched the utube video of the Great Movie Ride and they LOVED it! I did too.... we cant wait to give it a try!

Farily certain that Osborne lights operate during a rainstorm. There may not be as many photopass photographers as usual but rain shouldn't effect the lights.

Well, you can always try it next time! :thumbsup2

I wasn't too interested in this but all these posts are intriguing.:3dglasses

Me too.. although my toes are starting to hurt! popcorn::

Mine would be the LMA show. We just never made time for it. :confused3
It was a really neat show... i think the kids would have liked it too if we brought them. I don't think we will be doing this in December though.:confused3

Does Mark read what you write on here? Would he say the same thing? :lmao:

Noted!

I try to get my pics up but there is always something. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Thanks Kat... you know you didn't have to do that. I'm sure she will love it! princess:

Hummmmm... I wonder what # GMR turns out to be... :scratchin

Good idea youtubing it to check it out.

I don't think Juliana has seen The Wizard of Oz... I wonder what she would think of that. :sad2:

Oh thanks!!!!!!!

I think we are only going to have 1 chance to see them... rain or shine!
Errrr I mean rain or moon! ;)

He sees some of it...but he would agree (he said his looked like a platyapus (I know that is spelled wrong).

I know we didn't have to do it--but we wanted to (Mark actually picked it out).

Oh thanks!!!!!!!

Errrr I mean rain or moon! ;)

Well lets hope for moon! I just love Christmas and the lights are just so spectacular! We used to drive around for hours looking at christmas lights when I was young so this is like the Ultimate version of it! This will be the third year in a row for me! Once you go at Christmas Disney is never the same again!

First off...I love Country music!! :rolleyes1

Things I haven't done at DHS...Drew Cary, nor do I ever want to, AI, which again, I have no desire to do, and Fantasmic...which I really haven't had a huge desire to do either, but I would like to experience some day and see what the hype is about.

I have walked through 1 mans dream, but never saw the movie. And in the animator stuido, did the show, met characters, but never even saw the spot to actually learn to draw.

I bet I have done something you haven't..and possibly never heard of....I wonder what other Diser's remember this and/or did it....The Doug show. When DD (who is 18 now) was 6 we went, and this was one of the biggest highlights to her. She kept saying I hope it never ends! LOL! I can't remember where exactly at DHS it was, but I think that building is now empty. Maybe who wants to be a millionare was there too (which I never saw)?

DH just found the Dad's thread and was telling me about it this past weekend. Sounded hysterical, so I went to check it out and spent the rest of the weekend reading your PTR. My heart goes out to you and Mel for all that you've been thru with Ana and now your recent loss. BIG GIANT HUMONGOUS hugs for all of you, along with my prayers.

Had to comment...........

I'm going to spend the whole ride on GMR looking at the ceiling! :rotfl:

We absolutely love GMR, but the last few times we've been on it, the alien has come out of the wall on the right, rather than from the ceiling. A couple of years ago, I was with a friend and her almost 7 DS, who is VERY easily frightened. My solution was to explain that many people LIKE to be scared and movie makers are always coming up with new tricks to frighten people. I told him that nothing would touch him or hurt him, it was all just "movie magic". I had him laughing by the time the alien showed up by warning him it was coming and challenging him to see the alien before it jumped out at us. He got such a big kick out of watching all the other folks get scared!! The Indiana Jones room can be scary too, if anyone in the family is nervous about snakes (even rubber ones).

Oh great... now we will be addicted all over again! :lmao:

We got addicted to Halloween in Disney... and we are a little sad we aren't making it there this year. :sad1:

At DHS we have never done the Animation Studio or Voyage of the Little Mermaid. We mean to do Little Mermaid every trip, but it just never happens!

That's a hard one for me. I've never seen the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" movie set adventure, and I've always heard how neat it is. We'll definitely have to take a look at it next October when we go because Madie is sure to want to explore it.

It is VERY cool! There is a great slide for the littler ones to the left of when you walk in - Henry goes down it every time first thing. :cutie:

This is how I usually draw !!!!

I was just making a little joke... :rolleyes1

I don't care for the 1st two either but someday I hope to see Fantasmic. Will it be December? I doubt it.

I have walked through 1 mans dream, but never saw the movie. And in the animator stuido, did the show, met characters, but never even saw the spot to actually learn to draw.
Sounds like you will have to go back and try out drawing. :smickey:

You are right.. I never head of this. Considering the first time I've been to Disney was 2008, I'm sure there is quite a bit of WDW history I don't know. Now I have to google this and find out about it! :goodvibes

:welcome: thanks for stopping by!!!!!

Your DH has stumbled on a great group of guys on that thread. Glad he found us!

Thanks for reading through all the ups, downs, and drama of my TR for the last few months. I'm sure you came across a few.. umm.. characters along the way and you kept reading! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So now I have to check out the ceiling and the walls too.. Man this ride sounds like a ton of work!;) That was a good way to keep your friends son occupied on the ride. That could work with Ana if I need to go that route with her. Thanks for the tips! :goodvibes

I know when you will be able to try at least one of these... MARCH! pixiedust:

I agree.... I'll have to dig up a few pics of the playground.

Love the Big E! Haven't been in years. I'd love to go this year, but I don't know if it'll happen, since the only time I can take Nemo is on the weekends, and those are crazy busy. We'll see. I hope you have a great time, and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! :goodvibes

Happy Anniversary dear friends.

Here's a sneak peak at my animation photo just for you, Tim:
