i was reading about all the tours offered, but they are kinda expensive. Are they really worth it and if so which ones have you tired and like and which ones have you tired and hated

I have only done the Keys to the Kingdom tour, but I will tell you it was worth every penny!! I loved it!

Tours seem to be hard to call.

My favorite place in WDW is Epcot's World Showcase. I took the "Hidden Treasures of the World Showcase" tour and hated it. Terribly boring, and got no info that wasn't in the Birnbaum guide.

My least favorite park is the Animal Kingdom. Took the "Wild by Design" tour and liked it very much.

Haven't done the Magic Kingdom tours yet!

Good Luck!

Ive taken the EPCOT Segway and AK Behind the Scenes tours. I would recommend both highly. They were both about $65 after a AAA or Disney Visa discount.

I second what Bunsen said... Here is a link with my review of the AK backstage tour The review is in post #8

AK tour review

We took the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour a few years ago and it was very much worth it.

We will be taking the "Backstage Magic" tour in June.

I agree with the above posters about the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Worth every penny. Brick was our tourguide and he was great. When you arrive for check in, they have a table set up with drinks. DH grabbed some coffee, and I grabbed a couple of water bottles for later in the tour. There may have been some cookies or pastries too, but we didn't take any. Lunch is provided on this tour. You need to choose your lunch at check in, so your lunch is already laid out for you when you get to the restaurant. We had lunch at the Columbia Harbour House. You get a couple of souvenirs too. You get to keep your nametag, and they give you a Key to the Kingdom pin.

We are going to try the Segway tour next because we have heard rave reviews for this tour. I can't wait.

Last summer we did a fishing tour for my husband at the beach club. We caught 14 lg. mouth bass in 2 hours. It was great fun to be fishing in the middle of EPCOT. The kids also did the pirate crusie at the GF. Even though they got rain out and had to stay in the resort they had a great time. :cool1:

Me and DH did the 2 hour segway tour in Epcot. I can't remember how much it was, but I felt that is was worth the money. It was a lot of fun. I would like to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour on one of my trips too...

The Segway Tour.

And everyone in our group absolutely LOVED it! :wizard:

awsome, i am checking into it now

weve done the dolphins in depth at epcot which is a dolphin encounter, very fun & the backstage safari at ak which was really interesting especially for my fh who's going to grad school to be a vet. i also did the backstage magic tour when i was little & i remember it being cool going in the tunnels.

18 days until were married at wdw! :bride: :groom:

We have done the Segway Around the World tour and the AK Back Stage Safari. Both were excellent and well worth the cost. There are several discounts. AAA;DVC;Disney Visa and AP. But some tours also have a Military discount for active duty. Make sure when you book you let the CM know right away you will be using a discount code. If you wait till they start the booking process they will have to delete what they have and start all over again! This trip we are going on the Epcot Aqua tour. Should be great fun

I just booked the Family Magic Tour at the MK...it sounds like it is geared more towards kids...but very fun...and it wasn't that expensive at $25 per person

don't know if this counts as a tour, but we did dining with an imagineer.

had lunch at brown derby and you sit with a imagineer who tells you great stories about each individual ride and shows.

totally awesome....

we heard all about how EE was planned out, designed and so on.

You get a signed plate as well.

highly highly recommend

I've done the World Showcase tour (Hidden Treasures) and liked it quite a bit. Also liked Backstage Magic, and Yuletide Magic (which, not too surprising is only available between Thanksgiving and Christmas). I would do any of the three again. For the World Showcase tour, it was a 'flex feature' on our package (so that tells you it was a while ago), Backstage Magic we had a discount (I think it was Magic Kingdom Club) and for Yuletide used the Disney Visa discount.

Yuletide was fairly interactive with the CMs sharing personal stories and asking the group about their family traditions, which I thought was nice, but also tended to create an overtime situation, though they did ask going in if anyone had lunch plans. Neither Backstage or Yuletide required park admission, which is another bonus if you've got some other plans for the rest of the day.

We about every tour that there to take, with exception the Train tours and the Family Magic Tour( because we don't have children anymore) and Yuletide Tour ( we have not been there at Xmas).

There is no one that we did not like. They all something different to offer. A couple that we have taken couple of times.

I would recomend the Backstage Magic Tour that is the if you have the money for it. Besides the Segway Tour I would it one the best tours.

I did the Dive Quest in the Living Seas a few years ago as a college graduation gift. It was AMAZING!!! You have to be SCUBA certified - if you are, you will find that it is the easiest dive you will ever go on! They provide all of your equipment (but you can use your mask) and you get to perform in the aquarium! It was such a neat feeling to be inside the tank with TONS of people watching! It was amazing to interact with the crowds from the other side of the glass. I went by myself and was put with a dive buddy who was just as fun! I HIGHLY recommend it if you are SCUBA certified!

We are going to try the Segway tour this summer - it looks SO fun!
