And taketh away our special 25th anniversary NYC trip :worried: I knew we were going to owe this year because when DH went on long-term disability his employer didn't take out taxes, but i didn't expect the bite to be so bad. We owe about $5000. Plus we have a$150 penalty for not having enough withdrawn from his paycheck. DH is going to take the taxes to a professional and see if there is anything else we can do. I don't mind paying what we owe, but i just don't want to pay more than we owe.Plus we still owe property taxes on my father's estate in NC($1200) <sigh> :coffee: So the NYC trip is on permanent hold. No way can we afford to go party AND pay over $6000 in various taxes. It's gonna wipe out our savings(thank goodness we have some!)

So now I'm looking for something fun and cheap within a 6hr drive of Atlanta the end of April. Maybe camping in the Okeefenokee Swamp :guilty:

I am sorry.
For Camping -May I suggest the Richard B. Russell state park? I think it would be about a 3 hour drive for you.
We went with the kids in the fall and really enjoyed ourselves.
They have swimming and frisbee golf and fishing.
