I just booked tickets for the House of Blues Sunday Gospel Brunch!
Sounds like way fun and good food too!

my dad is a Wonderman!!! he has lately been busy booking things for our summer Dis/US trip to orlando (pirate cruise for lil bro, breakfast at chef mickey's, etc. etc.). he has just informed me that we are now staying at the Wilderness Lodge in disney (at least until tomorrow when new rates might come out ). and for an extra day!!! so we'll be in universal for 3 days and then disney for 8!!!! i'm soooo excited!

sorry, had to share that with some of the only people who i no are disney-loving and disney-knowledgable!!!!

OK, Guess what, We will be leaving VWL on the 31st, If my math (and Excel) serve me correctly the day you are getting there...If the 'rents are cool about it we could meet. If not, Oh well. I can certainly understand your folks being wary of Axe Murderers* you met on the internet...

Also, A suggestion for your Dad...Tell them Medical Non-Smoking on the room; this makes them give you a real non-smoking room, rather than one that they specify is non-smoking for you because you requested it. Of course if the 'rents smoke...Well...

Welp, before I get into wedding stuff, I must say...My DD Ashy, was 7, 12 oz and came out with a bump on the top of her head that took 3 months to go away. Heehee...So, she really wwas a conehead!

Ok...Now for wedding stuff...

The wedding is on 20 March 2004. We are having the ceremony at 4 PM at the Yacht Club Wedding Gazebo. We both have 3 attendants...My sister is my MOH and my two older female cousins are my BMs, his best friend is his BM and his two brothers are his GMs. My little cousin is going to be my FG (3 years old).

Our colors are lavendar and blue and our flowers are:

The ceremony is as close to Catholic as we can have and we are having Rev. Day as our officiant. He's the one that's always on the TV weddings at WDW. Our music is a combo of Disney music (Bella Notte, When you Wish, Dream is a Wish, Electric Light Parade) and classical (Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring and Canon in D). We are having a unity candle and a rose presentation to our mothers and grandmothers.

Once the ceremony is over, e are havong posed photos at the Gazebo and on the Boardalk, while most of the guests (immediate family and wedding party are getting pics too) will be at a cocktail pre-reception. We are having the reception at Ariel's, which is in between the Y and B Clubs. We are having 45 adults and 5 kids. There will be an open bar all night and dinner is a choice of beef tenderlion, stuffed chicken breast or potato gnocci ith eggplant rolatini. For dessert, we are serving the Cinderella Mousse Slipper and Cake:

We will have a DJ and Mickey and Minnie will be attending our reception.

Two days after the ceremony, we will be having a MK photo session, where they come pick us up at 6 AM and take us into the MK in our wedding clothes and we get to have photos taken in and around the Castle and other locations in the MK.

Well, hello all! Didn't have time to check in all day since I've been sick on the couch or in bed...food poisoning from leftovers in the fridge. YUCK!! The whole nine yards....nuff said.

Have a decision to make and wondering what you guys would do:

Original trip was for May 14-19. Got SOG, got CRT for DD, got Donald's breakfast for DS, got Wishes cruise, got Illuminations cruise....GOT EVERYTHING!!

Then, DH has changes in plans at work so we can't go. I keep all the ressies just in case, but make a second set for the only other available dates...April 30-May5. Now since it got moved up, you KNOW we didn't get CRT for DD and we didn't get Illuminations cruise (the one we really wanted), but we did get the rest of our PS.

NOW, DH comes home and says yet another change....he'll be in Jacksonville May 10-14, and we can do the original trip, I'll just have to pick him up in JAX on the way through. Well, he's all excited, thinking he solved the problems, but this creates another one: I'll have to do 9.5 hours of the driving by myself with both kids (3 & 18months) who aren't really great travelers. It REALLY helps to have a second adult in the car to get juices, snacks, dropped toys, etc. to help avoid the screaming.... So I'd have to that alone, plus stopping for lunch and dinners, plus diaper changes, plus drag both of them in with me if goodness forfend I actually have to use the restroom somewhere along the way...

But if I don't do this, then DD won't get CRT, and none of us will get Illuminations cruise. See my problem? What would you do?

Off to bed, hoping someone solves my dilemma....send me some pixie dust to get rid of this food poisoning, please!!

If you are traveling in a group, a taxi is cheaper (and they have Van sized taxi's)
-> in Orlando, they do not charge for an additional person in the Taxi.
-> It costs around $40 ($35-$42) for a Taxi to WDW resorts (as of a year ago)
-> Mears charges $29 round trip...Figure $15 per person each leg...
-> If you have 3 people, the Mears cost is $45...
-> with a Taxi, you are on your own schedule...
-> With a Taxi you can't be put behind 5 other people at other resorts.
-> for the $10 more it costs DW and I like the Taxi better...you aren't as cramped

-> if you don't smoke, and want a non-smoking room, ask for "Medical Non-Smoking" this clears away any doubt in your mind that you will get a swing-over room.

good idea ohana!!! i have to ask them. i also have to start stocking up on lime green ribbon for my hair--knowing my they'll all fly out during my rollercoaster rides--i'm a fanatic. speaking of rollercoasters (off the subject, i know) has anyone ever been on top thrill dragster at cedar point???? so awesome. i have an interesting story about it if anyone knows what i'm talking about....

We are going to have Brian's car the hole time, so I'm letting the family worry about getting thier butts from the airport to the hotels, but we are having a WDW bus for the whole time of the wedding 2:30-10:30, so no one has to worry about driving or taking Disney transportation...

I can't wait to hear how your wedding plans are doing. How many guests are you expecting and how are you figuring out the logistics of when people need picked up in order to have everyone at the ceremony on time? Oops, gotta go. DH is scowling at the monitor. All he sees are $$$$$$$$$. hehehehe

Actually, [COLOR=CC00CC]Kismetdreams[/COLOR], I meant to say that you might want to tell your guests about the difference; evrything talks about the shuttles...If you have a party of 3 they aren't such a good deal...

[COLOR=CC0033]kadaten[/COLOR], Suggestion... do you have a friend that can drive with you as far as JAX, and catch a flight back? A round trip ticket (with a Saturday stay over) might be cheaper than a 1-way; you should be able to loose the return ticket...(just don't tell them on the resorts board I suggested it)
It would have to be a good friend (or teenager you can bribe cheaply)...Other aids...Sam's has a somewhat inexpensive VCR that you can hang on the back of a seat to keep them occupied...I can't really think of anything else, maybe some Axe-Murderer on the TAGLIARCHY will volunteer to go with you?

[COLOR=CC00CC]Kismetdreams[/COLOR], Y&B makes a beautiful Wedding...It sounds sooooo Very wonderful, I wish we could go...I actually thought of putting DW on a plane to go help you...But I Miss her too much when she is gone. Seriously, I am quite envious. Ariel's is a great place for a reception...and if there isn't enough Ice Cream, Beaches&Cream is right outside!!!!

I would suggest a song, if I might be presumptuous. My first dance with RRBB was to a Disney song "Promise". It is the "Kiss Good Night" from Illuminations I'll PM you a link to the MP3 file if you would like (I will anyway). Look for the PM in 5 minutes.. This song just summed it all up really well for us!!!
