The Tagliarchy Mansion

Oh I forgot, I posted on t a thread last night asking if we though John Kerry was good looking. I mentioned that he looked like a young Herman Munster- much like our friend BENICO hehehehe anyway some one posted that if you put a wick on his head he would look like a melting candle. I just about lost it. SOOOOOOO funny. How mean huh? My remark too. "Judge not lest ye be judged" he probably has a good personality though!!heheheheh

My favorite well I would have to guess Muriel's Wedding as it uses all those great ABBA songs. I also love Star Wars.

Ummm as for having that particular radar well I'm not sure but I am looking forward to all the news coverage in May when it becomes legal here (marriage that is)!!! There are two couples in my Church and I hope they get married there. Nothing I like better than a wedding, I don't care who it is!

cadburysmom, it's a date. But what's for dessert?

...what, are you kidding? something CHOCOLATE of course!:teeth:

The soundtrack to Crossroads.

Gotta go get my hairs cut. :teeth: I can't wait until it's over, 'cause I wore my contacts, and they are killing me. :earseek: Okay, what does a haircut and contact lenses have to do with each other. Well, I hate not being able to see what Maria (my friend and hairdresser) is doing to me, so I wear contacts instead of glasses.

Talk to y'all at lunchtime. :wave2:

Babycakes, it's called gaydar and I do somtimes but not others. LOL

Babycakes? No one's ever called me that before. That's cute, I kinda like that. AND I KNOW what it's called, I just didn't feel right using that word. Is it OK for me to use that word? I'm never sure.

You can use the word. It's not the sole property of my people. It's ok. Really. Go 'head. Use it. You know you want to.

And to assure you, I've never met anyone who ever thought it was remotely offensive at all.

OOOOOOh, Rick. Forget to tell you. Told DH about all the nice things you said about him, and he was flattered (I think he blushed too). :o

Okay, really gotta leave now.

ROTFL!!!!! That is funny! He kinda does look like Herman!!!!

Favorite soundtrack? I like Tarzan.

Since I married DH who does not like musicals and such, I have not been into much theatre but my favorite theatre soundtracks are A Chorus Line and Sweeney Todd.

OK, then I'll ask Huggabaloo, since you've really been no help at all.

Huggabaloo, what does your gaydar think about the boys I saw in the mall. They weren't holding hands, but they were very comfortable walking quite closely to each other and then the thing about the collars being up. DHB's got a gaydar and when I told her about them walking into Banana Republic with their collars up she said it went off.;)

And just so you know, I don't have some weird problem with whether they are or aren't. I just want to have my own gaydar, 'specially now that RickinNYC says it's OK for me to have one.:hyper:

And for the record, by the way, you should have gone up to the guy with the two polos and the collars up and smacked him on the forehead. That went out in the 80's. I used to do that.

Oh, almost forgot, that was the second part of my question. Since you live in the big city and everything, I also wondered when I saw the collars up if that's coming back. I mean isn't it about time? Fashion trends coming back the way they do, it's about time for the preppy look to come back, isn't it? But judging from your comment, I'm thinking maybe it's not.

If it does come back, then I'm going to firmly ensconce myself into my apartment and not come out until it goes away.

Ohhhh, but I liked it. Really, the preppy phase was my favorite. Good old Izod, nothing better. PLUS, you don't have kids on the verge of their teen years. Given the punk phase, the grunge phase, the belly shirts and butt-crack pants, I'll take a preppy trend any day.

Ok, my numbers are skyrocketing! I'm outta here for good long bit.

Cadbury'smom, ice cream sundae's!

And my God your right, John Kerry does look like Herman Munster. Good think I loved that show!

RickinNYC thank you for the gaydar clarification and for the support of down with up collars movement.

Well, before you mentioned Herman Munster, I thought he had the face of a horse! You know...long and drawn out...weird looking... Anyone else see the resemblance?

At one time, I was one of the preps. It was the 80's so it was either that or nothing.

Picture it, Stony Brook, NY, 1985. I had just transferred from University of Florida to Stony Brook U. Because I had spent my high school and first year of college in FL, I didn't have a warm winter coat. What do I do? Ask my folks for one? Nope!

As the days turn colder, I don an extra polo. Hey, it's fashionable. Then I put on a third. Collars all the way up to heaven. I even used spray starch to insure that they'd stay that way.

Eventually, folks in my dorm realized that the polor colors looked like the Lego logo. So what happens? I get called Lego Man! "Hey! Lego Man!" "What's up, Lego Man?" Life was hell. (actually, it amused me)

So prep that I was, what happens next? I get named Biff. And for the rest of my college years, I was henceforth nicknamed Biff.

geffric-OK off we go to MK for ice cream brownie sundaes. Oh man I'm getting one next week when DH and I go out for his birthday. OK the steak is good but the coffee and dessert are my favorite.

I'm actually going to do work now, I know I know it's shocking but I am at work!
