The Sweet Meet - Dis'ers do Hershey

I don't see any love for Farenheit. :confused3

Jennifer and I had this on our "must do" list as it's unique, but is it not that good and should we be looking elsewhere?

- Bill

New to boards (Wife got me on here). Anyway, I have been on just about every ride at HP (pass holder since I was 5). The "big thing" about Farenheit is the 97 degree drop. But it's so fast you don't notice any difference from storm runner (which is my favorite ride in the park). The climb hill on Farenheit is different. It is a 90 degree climb hill. The ride is a good lenght (over a minute) and when I get off of it, I don't know which way is up. Good to experience once, but the line is always longer than is seems and little shade. If the line isn't long, go for it. But I will normally skip it unless I can walk on or wait 5 min.

:welcome: Don't be a stranger

Hey, it's my hubby's first post! :) We're looking forward to meeting all of you next weekend and my hubby will need a "coaster wife" since I'm too chicken to ride with him!

enabler. Don't worry though, you can sit it out with Val & I because we're not coaster people either.

So, with it being about a week out, the first look at weather.

Friday - high of 81. 40% chance of thunder storms.
Saturday - High of 85. 60% chance of thunder storms.

Temps are good for this time of year. Thunder storms are almost always on the forecast. Just remember that weather reporting is nothing but an educated guess.

Another thought is that thunderstorms usually will help clear out the park. Plus, gives some time to visit chocolate world. Must get the chocolate chip cookies there.

Can I buy a Hershey Kiss rain poncho?

One week from today, the BFF and myself will be consuming mass quantities of coffee, packing up the SUV and winging our way to the Chocolate Town USA!

:banana::woohoo::banana::woohoo::banana:

Add me to the "not coaster people" group. I'll do the wimpy ones that are equal to Big Thunder Mountain or maybe Space Mountain, but nothing crazy.

She knows me well (the coffee thing)!

Woo hoo! Party!

:welcome: to all the new travellers & posters! :welcome:

Sounds like the good times are ready to roll :cool1:

Has anyone told Fuddruckers that ~50 :dance3: will be invading them next Friday - want to ensure they defrost enough ostrich burgers! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: George, I know you're  -bizzy - I can give them a heads up if you want :upsidedow

See y'all in a week for sweet treats & rides! :goodvibes

cheers,
:flower3:

Add me to the list of non-crazy roller coaster people. The craziest I will go is Splash Mountain, and I only started going on that 2 years ago because my mother dragged me on it,....

Hey Karen! I was thinking of calling them also, but I've never been there so I wasn't sure of what the set up of the restaurant is like. If it is just cafeteria style, would they even care if that many people were coming? It's not like they would have to hold tables or anything.... What do you think? I have no problem calling.

My aunt doesn't like rides either. She enjoys watching people.

I think it would be courteous if someone gave them a ring. Just not each of us, otherwise they might think that 800 people are coming for dinner.

A heads up is probably appreciated - I'm sure they're busy every summer Friday but at least they'll know to have a good standby of mise en place in order - top of their fixing bar :rotfl: Might think about how they sched their breaks/shift. I'm guessing we might up their business a quarter to half of a regular nite so they might have to chop up a few more potatoes. :confused3 :rotfl:

Thx a mint Andrea for doing all the phoning and keeping on top of everything - hopefully this is the last call you have to make!

cheers,
:flower3:

OK, I will call and give them a heads up. Do you think it's too early to call today? Should I call maybe Monday or Tuesday, that way it gives them notice, but, it's not too far off?
