Looks like you all may be getting another hotel guest!! Just waiting to hear back from my nephew to watch the dogs.

Roller Soaker is notorious for 1 hour + waits. that whole waterpark area "can" be really busy. i have stood in line at Nathans for 20 minutes for a hot dog and given up because i did not move more than a foot. i hope that is not the case for you guys. the back of the park is more manageable, its the carnival area with the whip, lightning racer, as i mentioned before as the best coaster in the park, ferris wheel, deep fried veggies. dont forget ZooAmerica. only one word of beware, the Wildcat wooden coaster will rattle your teeth out and hurt your neck, it has a lot of vibration.

Thx a mint for the heads up! I wooden coasters, but not more than my teeth or neck! The Matterhorn just about did me in

Tail-gating/swimming at the Comfort Suites Friday night.
"Rope drop" Saturday morning.
Play hard in the park all day.
Maybe Sunday breakfast/brunch.

Just wanted to add after dinner on Friday nite, some of us will be checking out the park & some rides using the "preview hours" that's included with the ticket.

A bit hectic here but looking fwd to heading out tomorrow

Hey ya'll I'm a local so where is the breakfast/bunch on Sunday?? I know about Fuddruckers tomorrow night. I cant make it to the park this weekend unfortunately but I'd still like to meet ya'll. I'll try my best to stop into either the Fuddruckers Friday or Breakbrunch on Sunday.

I Just heard about this meet.... So I'm thinking I may decide to swing by. Nice think about living in York, Pa, I'm only 45min away from hershey.


Considering the amount of posts in this thread, I only read thru (scanned thru) the past 10 pages so forgive me if I missed anything important before I posted this. I was just at HersheyPark for my company picnic a couple weeks ago, and thought I'd pass along a few things for you guys.

1. The water park can get CROWDED! Especcially on a Saturday. I also heard that 2 weeks ago because of the crowd, they actually had the wave pool roped off and were limiting the numbers of people in the pool at a time, and would cycle the crowd every 15min or so. This is on top of the Lazy river limits someone else posted a few posts back.

2. Be prepared for a unique park going experience. Hershey is the only park i've ever been too that they managed to build up-hill....Both ways.

3. About the PA alcohol situation. Easy way to look at it. You cannot buy any alcohol at a grocery store or convenience store. Liquor and Wine can only be found at the state run stores. most of them have a sign labeled "wine and Spririts" and are located in strip malls. Closing time Friday and Saturdays (at least near me) run from 9pm-10pm. Sunday some are now open from around 1-5pm. BEER: Available by the case or Keg at Beer Distributors. Beyond that, you can get "Beer to go" at many bars and some restaurants. "to go Beer" is usually available by either the 6pack, 12 pack, or 24/40oz.

4. Besides the minetown "food court" someone mentioned with the AC (and only beer served inside the park), One of the better mid-day AC breaks can come from the Chocolate World building outside the theme park gates. Besides the food court in there, as well as tons of shopping, there are several attractions. There is now a make-your-own candy bar experience available for an extra fee, as well as a 3d film. The BEST thing has to be the Chocolate world ride... which just so happens to be free.... and you get free chocolate afterwards. (usually something like a small hershey bar, or bliss chocolate).




Sooooo.... If I head over to Hershey, I just gotta decide when to do it. I don't get off work tomorrow evening until 8, which means 9ish before I'd arrive at Hershey... or I can just wait until Saturday.

Considering the short notice, I noticed someone was taking contact numbers, but i didn't know if they've already left and still have easy timely access to the forum. If someone wants to PM me, or let me know, i'll be happy to give my contact info so I can meet up with everyone.

Just finished packing most of my stuff after getting the boys home from football practice. They are in the other room on the Wii and I'm close to shutting down the laptop and in turn shutting them down.

Just need to gas up, cash up, and ice up in the AM.

I've decided no laptop this weekend so this will be my last DIS post. I'm disconnecting to an extent.

Will see everyone either at the hotel (Comfort Suites - Hummelstown) or Fuddruckers at 6 tomorrow.

A good portion or us are planning to be at the park early Saturday. Shortly after 9 or whatever time we can park then 10am opening.
