ok i live in a town in connecticut, as do other fellow dis'ers, and we had a HUGE storm today. not snow, but rain and LOTS AND LOTS of wind. the wind got so bad, we lost power at our high school for about an hour. I had so much fun in Spanish 3. We all sat in class, talked, ate a lot of food, and took out our cell phones and cameras and took really retarded pictures. The best part was was that the teacher let us! it was an awesome day. It really relaxed me because my Mid-Terms start tomorrow, and any other dis'er who knows what a Mid-Term is knows how much stress it can put on you. anyways, i need to get back to studying for my........do i have to say it again? the word, or rather words, make me twitch, LOL

wow, that is cool, JoeBillyBob. LOL srry it is 12:00 and i got to leave school at 10:00 because of mid-terms so i am bored

I live in Mass. and we had the same storm. Our school lost power also, and we had lots of fun! lol. I was in english class and the teacher is a little.... out there.... anyway, she was going out of her mind! LOL. She was running to other rooms asking why all the lights went out! Then she tried to call the office when ALL power was out! LOL. actually, there we emergency lights that went on in the hallways, but that was it. So we got to get out of school early. Even though we didn't have finals that day, it put off a couple finals for us. :cool1:

It is always exciting when something unusual happens, especially during school! :cool1:

The power going off a school... only my dream ;) I hope you and everyone else are/is ok/well/not hurt.

what we had a storm?

well i wouldn't know if it was the middle of the night

I had the window open last night and the noise from the rain and wind woke me up. I closed the window and went straight back to sleep. But the rain was so heavy that visibility was poor. It woke my Fiance up too so I know I wasn't dreaming :rotfl2:

Teddy, you're my hero.

And I can't beleive that I freakin' missed a black out at school!

WHY DID I HAVE TO BE SICK THAT DAY!

I saw the storm, though! I almost went outside but decided against it...

Speaking of storms, I was in this huge storm at Star Island a couple of years ago. And it was on in island, too (Uh-DUH!). And a SMALL island at that! And ther were no land structures to block the wind. The wind speed reach over 70 mph. It caused the well house to collapse and destroyed half of the porch and a whole bunch of rocking chairs as well as shatter a few windows.

But man was it cool!
