"The Springs" Open in January?

Will The Springs section of SSR be open by January 2nd? I requested it for our January stay, but I'm afraid it won't be open by that time.

Does anyone know for sure?

Everything I've read/heard shows that the first building in the Springs will open in January. I'm not sure about Jan 2nd though.

Our building (2)...was due to open in June this year...and actually opened on the first Monday of the month (June 7th).

I'd call MS a few weeks before and they should be able to tell you the status.

I've seen two posts here this week from people claiming that DVC Guides at SSR told them the three buildings in The Springs will now open September, October and November of THIS year.

Hi CRSNDSNY,

We're just back from staying in SSR ('Our Home'), while there we did an add-on and had it confirmed to us by our guide one day and another DVC guide the following day (during our final signing) that ALL three buildings in the Springs would be open by end Nov THIS year.

They also said individually that the construction in the Springs area was 'an eyesore' which was causing concerns for the sales staff and this is the reason for pushing ahead with the construction as fast as possible. The first Springs building to open will be the one nearest Congress Park and will be in September.

The buildings in the Paddocks will be opening one a month from Dec 04 to April 05.

I'm just finishing off editing my video of the resort and will post this up in the next couple of days along with the original of this map (The detail is great - I think it's a good version to have!).

No, July 5 and August 16 were the dates we were told. I would have thought they might have brought the July one forward for the holiday....
