I missed the dining plan last year but the year before there seemed to be alot of questions...some places would say that an item was part of the plan while others said it wasnt etc. Now I read that most items under $4 would be considered a snack...is this correct or is there still an issue? How about a candy item under $4 in a store?

:thumbsup2

Yes anything under $4.00 that is a food is allowed on the dining plan as a snack. We had snacks left over from our March trip this year and my kids went to the corner store in DMGM and they bought candy all under $4.00. Things like a big blue sucker with stitch on it, Cinderella's glass slipper with candy bracelet in it, mint candy in a tin with aliens on it from Toy Story etc...
We also bought breakfast at Main Street Bakery in MK and we got muffins, apple charlotte, bagel with cheese, croissant with cheese on it.

Thats good to know....in 2005, we always had questions as to what a snack was. In some places we could get a rice krispy treat but not in others....then there was issues with what size coke we could get.

Thanks again! :thumbsup2

If you go to the top of the restaurant thread I believe there is a thread the moderators started and there is a list of all the snacks you can use with the snack credits in WDW at all the shops/carts/etc.. I printed these pages off for our last trip and it really helped.

I have a question I don't think I've seen asked before, and maybe some of you who have had the DDP before can answer it for me:confused: Can your snack credit be used for only one item? For instance, if a muffin is $2 and a coffee is $2, can you get both since it's within the $4 limit? Or can you only get one of those?

Unfortuantely, only one. A snack is considered one item.

As aubriee indicates, a snack credit is for an item, not for a specific value. One person may choose a $.79 item; another person may pick something that sells for $3.89. In each case, the Guest has used up one Snack Credit.
