I can't believe you've lost 15 lbs in two weeks! When I did South Beach, and yes I followed it to a tee, I lost maybe 2 pounds in six weeks. At which point I gave up. I guess it proves my point that I have no metabolism. I'm def one of those people that need to exercise to lose weight. Oh well. Yay for you! I'm not so sure I want to take pictures with you now, skinny minnie! And we are so not thrilled about Hanna. Although DBF is the one worrying, I like to think that everything will always work out. I have pretty good mojo most of the time. Also, Portland is a big foodie place. Lots of yummy gourmet food! But you can't beat seafood right off the boat either!

Yes, but don't forget...I have PCOS...so that is affecting my ability to lose weight. I'm supposed to ALWAYS eat a low carb diet...I just don't! Oh and you will notice no difference between my PTR pics and what I look like now. I don't think I look any different. It's really weird. I must be losing really evenly all over because my clothes aren't fitting to differently.

I'm going to trust your mojo then for getting rid of Hanna and Ike. I'm trying to hold onto the belief that I can't possibly have BOTH of my vacations ruined this year. DH and I take our yearly Disney vaca plus a "adults only" trip every year. We were going to Vegas for 5 days in February. Yup, blizzard hit Boston. We never made it to Vegas. We were so bummed. Logan shut down and they couldn't get us out for 2 days...well missing 2 days of a 5 day/4 night trip is just silly. So we cancelled. On the upside, the really nice people at MGM refunded our "non-refundable" deposit because they could see by the weather report that Logan was closed. BUT, we can't possible have two vacations in the same year be ruined right????

Tollhouse Cookies...I will miss you I realize that I can go to the MK bakery and request that one be made for me with cookies and ice cream but apparently those are HUGE (bigger than the regular ones that I split with DD). Like a whole FAMILY could eat them huge...plus I tried to avoid the bakery. Too much temptation!!

OK folks! This is it. By this time tomorrow, I'll be at Logan. Oddly, I'm planning to meet up with my Dbro quickly at the airport who is flying a red eye from Los Angeles tonight and will be arriving at 7am tomorrow at Logan (how much does that stink that I'm COMPLETELY missing his visit home...but I will be in Disney J/K)

Today I have to go to work and deal with a COMPLETELY heartbreaking case that I have. But once I'm done with that, the day (fingers crossed here) shouldn't be too difficult and hopefully I'll have plenty of time to check the boards and the NHC!!! I do have to meet briefly for supervision and give a status report on all my cases. After that...I'm DONE!!!

After work, I'm going to a new spa to have my eyebrows done and get a pedicure. I normally go to a spa that is about a 1/2 hour north of my house and I love them but this new fancy schmancy spa opened right near my house so I figured that I would give them a whirl...My biggest fear right now is a slip of the eyebrow wax and suddenly Kristine has no eyebrows!!!

Then the eyebrowless yet pretty toed Kristine has to run home and become Tinkerbell. Basket is read to go, "Pixie Dust" is ready to go. I need to make the Pirate map note to accompany it and I'm good. Then, I will text my DH and let him know that it's safe to bring DD home.

Tonight I have a final load of laundry, vaccuum, put the last few things in the suitcases, get the ME tags on the suitcases, and spend probably til Midnight trying to convince my DD that it's time to sleep. Then maybe, just maybe I'll catch a fee zzzzz's myself before getting up at 5:30am to do the final prep work and whince as my DD screams about having to get up early and have her hair done (she's a BEAR in the mornings when she doesn't get sleep)

Okay, that's not her. That's Smokey...one of our two new bear cubs at the zoo (who in two short months barely looks like a "cub" anymore). We went to zoo this weekend (cuz I had to get out of Disney planning mode for a little while). Want to see the prettiest little owl?

OK...what else can I tell you this morning. Hanna is moving away...hopefully the planes can fly around it. Ike is looming so everyone is going to need to continue chanting while I'm gone. You want to stay 9 days...seriously, it was PERFECT! Plenty of time to slow down and enjoy things and we got everything accomplished that we wanted to do. Did you book the bounceback?

Obviously I can't start/finish my TR until my Photopass CD is in. But don't worry...it's already edited and ordered! But I thought that I would do a teaser with a couple of pics.

Just spent a half hour writing this and it deleted some how. Let me try again.

General report is that the trip was fantastic. 9 days was absolutely perfect. We had great weather minus two horrendous rainstorms on Wed and Thurs nights that last about 2-3 hours. Due to one of these storms, I missed Karen (KareBear from Disboutique) but I did meet several DISEers including MistyMouse, LuccaDrake, Erin13178, and GMax (who I believe was with a bachelorette party of DISers). I met a couple of more and if I met you and can't remember your username...I'm sorry!!!

Ok how about some pics! Here is one from our flight down (btw, our flights were fabulous...we got in early BOTH ways...when does that ever happen?) We got plenty of attention for our matching tshirts. In general, I couldn't believe all the attention over the shirts and customs. But that is because they were rare. In our entire trip (over than MNSSHP) we only saw two other families wearing customs. During MNSSHP I did see a very familiar Alice in Wonderland custom

So being September...it was again DEAD in the parks. Just the way I love it. As always, we walked onto most rides. The only exception to that is Toy Story Mania. Seriously, if you are going to Disney soon...here is a tip. RUN do not walk to Toy Story Mania at Park opening. If there isn't a long wait ride it and fastpass it. This was the first time in 5 years that we have fastpassed a ride. We got to DHS at 10am and there was already at 50 minute wait. Our fastpass return time wasn't until 3:15pm. By noon, they were out of fastpasses for the day. When we rode it, the standby line was a 90 minute wait. Now, this ride is very cool (and way better than Buzz) but no ride is worth 90 minutes in my opinion.

How about we hop on Disney Transportation and have some fun?

A big moment of this trip was our first trip to BBB. DD has been excited about it all year. I'll detail the experience later but how about a before and after shot?

Before you think that I just have a girly girl on my hands...I should point out that she was equally excited to join the Army at DHS (with Puppy in tow of course)

Oh wait, I forgot about the big guy. I'm assuming you all want to see Mickey right? He was excited to see us too

Another big change on this trip was that we actually got to see Epcot. DD has never been interested in it before. But this year we spent two days there and saw it all. She got really into the Kidcot stations. As you can see, she puts a LOT of effort into her art (notice the tongue!)

Oh food. I went during free dining. I should mention food huh? I will say that we ate plenty (and had some yummy drinks too!) If you have been reading along and following my South Beach saga...I want you to know that I didn't think about carbs the whole time (which means that I have to start the hard part of SouthBeach over tomorrow). My lack of attention to carbs means I did look pregnant in some pics but that's ok...that's what photo editing is for!! We did O'Hana for the first time this trip. HOLY lots of food. If you like to eat (or Coconut Race), don't skip O'Hana's

And finally, the BESTEST part of the trip was MNSSHP. Seriously, I spent a year fretting about spending $150 on 5 hours at the MK. And you know what, in that 5 hours, I didn't think of that $150 once It was incredible. It absolutely was the highlight of our trip. We stayed the whole time and DD didn't have a single meltdown...which is pretty incredible in and of itself. I have tons of pics from that too but here is one to get you started (DD was Princess Leia but you can't really tell that from this pic)

Oh and before you think that I wasn't actually on this trip with DH and DD here is a pic of me. There are only about 5 pics of me on my cameras (I've downloaded the pics from my DSLR so far...I have to do my P&S tomorrow...where the other 4 pics are!) But I do appear on the Photopass CD so you will see me here and there!

You can edit your title by going to your very first post, hit edit and then when the edit screen comes up, hit advanced edit and you will be able to edit your title.
