The Smith's "yes, we are to Disney AGAIN" PreTrip Report!

Here is my Big thank you to Stacey (SoHappy). She made the most incredible outfit for DD to wear to 1900 Park Fare. I kept the outfit a surprise and told her that Cindy's mice made it for her. DD didn't really buy it but did tell everyone that "Cinderella's mice made it...well not really, it was mommy's friend but mommy told me that the mice made it!"

Anyway, she was the biggest hit at 1900 PF and MK. I will post more pics of the event later but she was on the only little girl in a custom. Drizella came completely out of character to ask me about where to get it and to tell me that my friend should be selling it on :wizard: cuz she'd make a forture.

I promised Stacey that I would try to get pictures of Aisling's reactions when she saw it so here they are. I promise that there are a lot more pics from 1900 PF and some MK afterwards (on the Photopass CD) so you will get more views of it actually on her.

THANK YOU AGAIN STACEY  :flower3: :worship:

OMG, she is soooo beautiful. I cried seeing her reation! Glad it was a hit. I can't wait to read more!!

Thanks for the teaser photos! Looks like a wonderful trip! That outfit is VERY similar to one I have planned for Lily to wear to 1900 Park Fare! (except for all the cool appliques on the skirt, I don't have the skillz for that! Hmmm...maybe I should contact those mice...)

You should talk to my "mice"....she's very talented with those appliques :)

The customs were sooo cute! And I wouldn't have thought you were a stalker. I saw Randy in the store while waiting for the rest of our crew and went back in to say hi hoping I'd see you again. We really enjoyed meeting you guys.

Well I'm glad that you didn't think I'm a stalker....your ticker reminded me that we need to plan our shopping trip!!!!

Love the teaser report!

Kudo's to your "mice". They do some mighty fine work.

Yes we do! I'm in a money crunch right now though so I'm thinking maybe beginning of November??? We can figure something out when it gets closer. Although outlet shopping near the holidays usually ends up with me buying 10 things for myself and getting maybe 2 xmas presents. So it works out well.

Oh, almost forgot. I wanted to mention to you that there is a free museum day on 9/27. There are multiple places that you can choose including the museum of science in boston! It's good for 2 people per household. If you're interested I can PM you the link as I don't think I'm supposed to post it here.

Of course you are broke right now...you just spent all your money at Disney!!! Oh I never actually buy Xmas presents for other people when I go Xmas shopping!!!! I buy everyones else's gifts online and buy for ME in the stores!!!!!

Thanks for the info about the Museum Day. I always forget about it. Might have to go to MoS this year. We haven't been there in a little while and Ash loves it.

Thank you!

I promised to get the real report starting soon! I'm waiting (not very patiently) for my Photopass CD. I'm hoping to get it by the end of the week.

Well here is the beginning of my actual Trip Report. We started this trip like we have started every trip since DD has started going with us...with a visit from Tinkerbell.

I got home from work on Thursday Sept 4th at 5:30pm but then I had an appointment at the spa down the street at 5:45pm. Luckily, I convinced DH that morning to drive DD to school so I could have a few extra moments to get the basket ready. So before work, I made the note and packed the basket up. After my spa time, I came home and sprinkled the pixie dust around DD's bedroom. Then I ran next door to my in-laws (where DH and DD were "having dinner" aka buying time until Mommy/Tink got home) I told DD that I was cleaning the kitchen and I had heard a noise upstairs. I asked her to come home with me and investigate. I had the camera ready to go and luckily DD was nervous to go first so I was able to get her reactions. There are TONS of pictures of this since DD really wanted a pic of each thing in the basket but I won't bore you with all of them. Here are a couple though.

OH can you feel the excitement?????? :rotfl:

Isn't it amazing how something a small as little figurines can 1) thrill a child and 2) keep them amused for quite some time

Everyone loves Glow Sticks :thumbsup2

I spent the rest of the night completing the "to do" list and finishing all the packing. I got into bed about 1am and of course, I was not alone. DD was completely unable to calm her body down at that point so I let her sleep with me (which was okay anyway because despite vacuuming, her bed was still covered in random pixie dust pieces). She didn't fall asleep about 11:30pm so I was really nervous for waking her up at 6:30am to leave for Logan. I had given her a bath and done her hair the night before so she literally just had to get up and throw on some clothes but sometimes something that simple is quite an adventure

BY THE WAY, WHILE I'M TYPING THIS...JON AND KATE PLUS 8'S DISNEYWORLD EPISODE IS ON...WEIRD

ANYWAY, at about 3:30am, DH strolled in. He works nights and normally works til 7am about 40 minutes from home. But since we had an early flight, he left early so he could catch a couple of hours of sleep. So now my queen sized bed had 2 large adults, a big almost 5 year old, a cat, a stuffed dog, a doll, and some remote controls.

I got up at 5am to shower and prepare last minute details (including checking JetBlue's website and the National Hurricane Center website about a billion times). I woke DH up at 6:15am. DD got up at 6:30am. Luckily, my inlaws had decided to come over to get keys and say goodbye so them being here completely let DD forget her overtired grumpy mood. She was just too excited to tell them that she was going to Disney.

My mom was here at 7am exactly. We said goodbye to Miss Buttercup (our kitty). She wouldn't even look at me...it was kinda funny. She gets really tempermental when she sees suitcases. DD thought she would solve her sadness by giving her some "toys" to play with while we are gone. So while we were gone, there was a collection of crappy McDonald's Happy Meal prizes (the ones I haven't tossed out yet :ssst:) on my coffee table for the cat to "play with"

After some rangling to get 3 adults, a child in a car seat, 3 large suitcases, a carryon sized suitcase, 3 carry on bags, a stroller, a laptop case, two purses, and one of those hot/cold bags full of food (that I gave my mom since it would go bad in my fridge) into an ACCORD...we were off!!!!

Next up...the real first day and how my family is like two ships passing in the night!

I think Tinkerbell coming is just one of the cutest things ever.

My cats do the same thing when they see the suitcases. They get very angry because they know we are going to leave soon.

Thank you! She does love Tinkerbell coming. I know a lot of people do Tink gifts at the hotel but since that requires me trying to hide all that stuff in my suitcase and then try to find a time to hide it all in the hotel room...I would rather just do it at home once. There are enough things AT Disney to be excited about.

Thank you!

Ya we watched it again. But this time even DD commented that the episode made it look like they only spent 1 day at Disney ("why would you go all the way to Disney for one day, Mommy?"). Seriously, that episode could have been a 2 parter at least!

Wow, what a packed tinkerbell basket! So cool! I LOVE the look of excitement on her face!

I think it's a great idea to give the Tinkerbell gifts at home. I always wondered how I'd manage to get the stuff in my suitcase and set it out without the kids seeing.

I've watched that Jon and Kate episode more than a few times and I always hope THIS time they'll show them riding some rides. :lmao:

I've always wanted to see them navigate the buffet lines with 10 plates :rotfl:
