The Smiths are Heading Back...For 10 Days of Disney Magic! (Updated 8/16)

So on the advice of Jen...I am home today catching up on some important DISing (I have been in a stressed out funk and Jen suggested that reading some TRs might help...and it surely has)

When I'm out of my funk...and I don't have to concentrate all my dance energy on Aisling's recital numbers...we will finally get around to our overdue DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE! In the meantime, I will let some bananas fill in
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

In trip planning news, I got off my butt and made my hair appointment yesterday. The photographer suggested a service that can come to your room :thumbsup2 They were only $10 more than the salon on the BW and since the photographer highly recommended them and I don't know ANYONE who has used that other salon...I went with them :thumbsup2

Oh and I bought Miss Ash these Crocs today. These should match a custom or 2!

Thanks for the shout-out and so glad the TR reading/DISing is helping!

Here's my unofficial double digit celebration with you! :banana::cool1::yay:

Love those crocs! too cute! Unfortunately, my little miss thing now only wants to wear things from Justice (or that look like clothers from Justice) so she would only wear those at WDW.

AAAAAh the joys of Catholic School uniforms. Aisling just found out what Justice was about 2 weeks ago because we got a catalogue from there for no apparent reason (never even been in the store). She of course thought everything was "REALLY COOL" but she knows nothing about typical 7 year old fashion :rotfl2:

Aisling only wear Crocs. She has dress shoes and sneakers for school...and crocs. The second she comes home, she in crocs. Wears them to dance and swimming until she has to change. However we are having major shoe issues this summer already. 1) she has to wear dressy black sandals for my SILs wedding and we can't find any (or I should say I can't find any in a price point I'm willing to pay for something she will wear once). I had some leads for some at Target online so I might just have to order those....hate paying shipping when there are 4 Targets within 15 miles of my house :headache:

Our second issue is the Crocs. 20 outfits for Disney plus 20 matching hair bows plus the other necessities leaves very little room for shoes without incurring major baggage fees. I'm really trying to find Crocs that will match multiple outfits. So now we have "Disney colors" down pat, she owns black and pink, and if I could just find white....we'd be good. Aisling is also picky about her crocs. She has several classic Beach style that she'll wear at home but not for Disney. She needs "dressy" styles with her custom :rolleyes1. The sad part for me is that Santa Claus brought her 4 new pairs of Crocs for Christmas...in the wrong size. :headache: He had incorrectly guessed that her feet would grow from Dec-Aug so went a size up. :headache: oh well, hopefully they'll work next summer :rolleyes:

Yeah for double digits!!!! :cool1::thumbsup2:banana::woohoo::yay:

Can I just say, I LOVE the crocs! I just might have to get Olivia a pair! Olivia is all about Crocs! She has 11 pairs right now...and that is just counting what still fits!

Yeah for making hair appointments! I bet you guys will look awesome and get some great pics! How cool that they are going to come to your room and do it...and for only $10 more!

It would be way more exciting if I had the patience to do my own hair at 34 but what can you do :rolleyes1 My hair is thick and like a giant sponge. Blowdrying and either making it straight or curly in Florida heat will NOT be easy.

Got the Crocs on Shoebuy. Got a $10 off coupon code and with their free shipping it ended up a little more reasonable.

Look what I found tonight

I am so excited. I totally forgot to look at Famous Footwear. So I saw these online and ran in with Ash between school and dance to see if they had them in stock. In stock and in her size! AND they were 50% off! Phew. One shoe crisis averted!!!!

So glad you found dressy sandals at a reasonable price!!!! I saw your post on FB the other day trying to find something.

Be glad your child is unaware of 7 year old fashion. Justice clothes are expensive, very poorly made and a lot of the styles are made to fit very tall, very thin children.

LOL on the customs, dressy crocs and suitcase issues! Hope you can find white!

If I ever win the lottery, I am hiring someone to do my hair everyday! I have always had REALLY thick hair, but after Olivia was born, my hair went NUTS! It got even thicker, and became lumpy! I used to have a bit of a wave, that was pretty easy to blow dry and flat iron away, but now, my hair is just lumpy and no matter how much I blow dry and flat iron, it stays miserably lumpy! My mom calls it nappy, and almost gerry curl like..... I usually just pull it up in a bun after I get out of the shower and that is how it stays!

Hooray for shoes, crocs, & hairdresser! Was it Beaute Speciale? Or however you spell it. They do a lot of the Disney brides' hair! :thumbsup2

Me too...absolutely. I love having my hair done. Wish I could afford it more often.

Hi! I'm in & subbing. :) I've loved your PTR so far.

I'm hoping that since your trip is about 3 months before ours that your TR will keep me busy those last months so I don't go crazy. :rolleyes1 :D

I can't wait to read some more.

YOU, my friend ,can have her whenever you want. Can I borrow M for meal times? She knows the allergy list if I forget anything. I'll gladly change all our ADRs if it means M can get a veggie to pass my child's lips :rolleyes:

You know what is cool about having DIS friends who live in your town? They can come with you to concerts!!!!!! Jen (Jennifer48) will be screaming like a pre-teen with me and my sister at the NKOTBSB concert. So happy to be able to hang out with her :thumbsup2

Thank you! And God love you...that young with 3 kiddos, 1 with special needs. Anytime you want to send some of that patience to me go for it :thumbsup2

If I had any to spare I would! lol. Our life is pretty crazy but I just keep reminding myself that they won't be this little forever.
