Well, we finally made it to USF and rode the Simpsons twice. Wanted to go for three but it broke down. The first wait was 20 mins. with express, 95 without (that goodness we have Premier Passes). Second time was 35 mins. vs. 110 mins., but some of the cars were not working. Third time we tried, most weren't working so after half an hour in Express with no movement we bailed.
Both times we rode in the front, middle level, and it was as smooth as a baby's butt! BTTF used to slam me around and make me motion sick; nothing like that happened on the Simpsons. It is an engaging, well-done ride; I love the roller coaster, going upside down, the jab at PoTC, and even being in Maggies's mouth!
I was a little ticked the second time because they miscounted and put 9 in our room. That's not what made me angry; I understand that it happens, and they brought us back into the numbered lines to wait. But other people in the lines started getting loud and vocal because they said they were waiting longer than people in other lines who were being let in. One started it and the rest chimed in...I think things were screwed up due to the technical difficulties. Finally I said sarcastically, "Well, we've been waiting longer than all of you because they miscounted and we had to get back in line, and you don't hear us complaining." I mean, yeesh! You're at an amusement park and abusing the TMs ain't gonna get you on faster.
I was really sad that we mised doing a third ride because I wanted to try the back. There is so much to see that I'm sure I'll catch something new each time. I also love the Doc Brown clip with Prof. Frink!
The park was maddeningly packed, which I knew it would be, but we still got in one each MiB, Mummy, and Disaster (my first time). We would have gotten more, but MiB had broken down and Mummy had no second Express Pass checker so the freakin' line jumping was out of control. Sure hope that's not a sign of things to come this summer.
I did my good deed for the day as we were leaving. The valet line was utterly insane but we always use valet because it's free with a Premier Pass, and technically we're each entitled. Hubby used his for our parking, and I used mine for the people behind us. It was neat to see how grateful they were; I think random acts of kindness are fun.
I'll be back to do the Simpsons again very soon!
