Caught up again! Man, everytime I read a TR I see something new! Isn't Disney the best?!! We did not do the Maharajah Jungle Trek, your pics were great, I will definitely have to make it a must see on our next trip (whenever that is!). I could do without the bats too though!!

I have been reading for almost 3 hours now. You have a trip report...and somehow, I was oblivious to tha fact! I am hooked! I am up to page 58 and have way too many comments that I wanted to make and not enough brain cells to keep them straight. HA HA HA, I blame the boys for that. I like the ride, just wish it was so jerky that one gets injured by their family members.

The sun was shining, we had just taken a great character photo and we were on our way to one of our favourite attractions in the Animal Kingdom, maybe even all of WDW, Festival of the Lion King, things can't get better than this right? Well a good old sibling squabble can always make the day brighter!

As we made our way over to Camp Minnie-Mickey I saw the sign for the Winnie the Pooh character meet and greet and I told the family I wanted to stop for pictures. Alek and Erich grumbled and complained about how I was messing with the plan and how we would miss the show. I pointed out that there would be another Lion King show the next hour and the hour after that and the hour after that so we had plenty of time to stop for pictures and still catch the show before the park closed. They relented and we headed down the path to visit Pooh and friends. Once they saw that it was not just Pooh but also Piglet and Eeyore and Tigger they warmed up to the delay and the fight was over, at least that fight was over.

The line to see the characters was about 15-20 minutes long, the longest line we stood in that whole day, not too shabby. Erich was the official photographer this time around, for whatever reason he did not want to get in the pictures.

I really liked the Photopass guys they had working that day. The best photopass photographers take pictures of you interacting with the characters and not just the posed photo. I find that as adults getting photos with characters we quite often get the standard posed photo only when it comes to photopass so I really appreciate it when I get a nice surprise like this when uploading the photopass cards once the trip is over. I wish it would happen more often.

After visiting with Pooh and friends we had 45 minutes to kill until the next Lion King show so we wandered into some gift shops, relaxed on a bench and crowd watched while sipping some water and visited the Tree of Life Garden to observe some of the animals.

It was really nice to just slow down, relax, and soak in the atmosphere of the park. I love the Animal Kingdom and how lush it is with all the greenery, such a beautiful park. I also love the bright colours they use to decorate the buildings on Discovery Island, so cheerful looking.
