The Silly and Mischievous Adventures of Four Crazy Canucks - FINAL THOUGHTS 2/1

Lessa, I so don't blame you for not wanting to go near the cute, fuzzy bats:rolleyes: (those are words I would never use to describe them BTW)
Nor do I blame you for wearing a poncho when it was raining on Kali. Makes sense to me.

bats scare the daylights out of me, i would be fine if the tigers ate them all.
popcorn::

The bars are too close together for them to fly through and they don't have ankles so they can't walk. That's why they hang. ;) And they eat bugs! Guess where I learned that? :rolleyes1

I don't know, bats can crawl through pretty small places. I would trust that Disney took the necessary steps to prevent them getting near the guests but there is no way I would ever take my chances with that. :scared:

Eww. I'm not a fan of bats either. There was one flying around at my prom. The waiters batted down the poor thing with their round trays. The strange thing was that one of my friends showed up later dressed as Count Dracula (no, it wasn't a costume party prom). It was very peculiar! Anyway, I hate those things! I don't have a phobia of bats, but I do of another animal, so I'm very sympathetic.

 That is funny about your prom and the Count Dracula coincidence, not so funny about a bat showing up.

The pictures are awesome!
If you want to wear your poncho, that's ok. As long as is dosen't smell like poo!

Thank you for not thinking I am crazy on both those counts like my brothers.

 Totally agree

Now as some of you may have guessed it was time for us to get our ride on at Expedition Everest! :woohoo: Alek and Erich were going to ride twice thanks to Mom and Erich being chickens. ;)

The lines were non-existent, I don't think we even had to wait five minutes. The guy taking the fastpasses in the queue was rather odd. Every time he took a fastpass he would make a noise like "bloop" you know sort of like the noise made by the scanner at the grocery store as the items are scanned in? It was very weird.

The first ride on Everest we got the very back row. I have read that this is the best place to sit so I was excited. I videotaped the ride, although it did not turn out too well seeing as how we had people seated in front of us. Alek's commentary in the video is hilarious though.

Here's a ride photo, once again I am caught with camera in hand. :rotfl:

After getting the ride photo we got right back in the line, the guy was still making the weird blooping noise as he took our fastpasses. :confused3 I took some pictures in the queue area since there was really nobody around.

Alek and I both have dirty minds and both agreed that when viewed a certain way this could look wrong....

This time around we got the very front row! :woohoo: Alek had never ridden in the front row of a coaster before so it was a fun experience for him and for me as well of course.

I videotaped the ride again, this one turned out better as we had an unobstructed view. I am going to post it despite the fact that I laugh-scream and sound like a fool in it. :upsidedow

After our fun ride on Everest we met back up with the others who decided that they wanted to browse the gift shop, don't know why they didn't do that while we were on the ride. :confused3 I really want to get myself one of those cute little stuffed Yeti's. I was trying to keep this a budget trip though so no Yeti for me this time around.

It was still dry out so we walked over to Dinoland sans ponchos. :woohoo: The place was deserted! Nobody around at all.

Alek and Erich found another fun mirror to fool around with

We even considered going on Triceratop Spin as there was literally no line! How often does that happen?! We decided not to though, don't remember the reason.

I couldn't believe how empty the park was, if only we could have low crowds like that and nice weather.

Next up another Dis encounter....

I totally feel for that guy....when I worked at WDW I had to fill in for a fastpass taker once. Booooring....you have to amuse yourself

An empty AK (even in the rain) sounds so awesome, I feel like it always seems crowded there!

Awesome video! Last Feb my son (8) rode with DH but I was too chicken. After seeing the video, I know I can handle it. I love AK; so much detail. I especially love the shops in Africa.

After watching the video I know I will NEVER go onEE or any roller coaster for that matter !!:scared1: I am a confirmed and devout CHICKEN!!:rotfl2: Great update Lessa !! Waiting to hear the Bros. version of this update !!:lmao:

Rosie, you should definitely try a coaster, I used to be a huge ride chicken until I went to the Physics Fair at Busch Gardens in grade 12 and I was pretty much forced on a coaster. Ever since I have loved them!

Love the video! Makes me want to go on Everest NOW!!!!

Me too, I love that ride! :worship:

I showed my kids the video of EE and they said :woohoo: :woohoo: we can't wait to ride!!:rotfl:

 It is so much fun :goodvibes

You's a dirty girl Lessa. Posting photos like that. :rotfl:

:rolleyes1 Alek is the one who originally pointed it out. Just saying :rolleyes1

I hope to give it a try; I too had a bad experience MANY years ago. When I was young my grandfather would take my brother and I to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, we had the privilege of having the very front seat on the wooden roller coaster Blue Streak!!. Well back in the day there was no real secure safety device, just a flimsy chain and a had rod that fit no where near your body (not very secure); well I was up and over the handles, and I thought I was going to die:eek: Well it took me many years to get the courage to go back on a coaster, the very next coaster I went on after this experience some 30+ years later was the Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens- Williamsburg. and the most recent coaster was Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom two years ago, for some reason it was not on the Master Plan this year:confused3 It wasn't too bad:woohoo: You see I have too check each coaster out every which way, from all possible angles before deciding whether or not I will ride, I do not like surprises!!. Thank goodness for Youtube:dance3:, now I can check out the whole ride from start to finish. So I am hoping that I will take on EE, Splash Mountain and Space Mountain when Lessa and I return in May. Lessa thinks that I will either chicken out or have a heart attack, all I can say is that time will tell. Stay tuned - Will mom take the PLUNGE???. The Disney cruise will either be the celebratory cruise to the end of my coaster fear or may just be want the doctor ordered to recover from my coaster trama. Well must run.. being the American in this family I must watch the last debate tonight McCann vs O'Bama, and no I will not disclose my choice!! I never discuss politics.

I was 16 when I went on my first and last Roller Coaster !! :scared1: Back then in England you paid on the ride which I did well when we were done I was speechless with fear :scared1: and my girlfriend paid for us to go again !!:rotfl2: I remember thinking as we took off I have to get off when this thing stops and just kept repeating that !!:lmao: I have never set any part of my body on one again!! :rotfl: The Ferris wheel fear came from same GF.As we were at the very top the lights carckled onas it was dusk !! DGF gets scared and leaps at me causing the thing we were in to tip and we alsmost fell out !!:scared1: Not been on one since !!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
