The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

They make us poor people walk farther to get to our buses. ;)

Hollywood Studios is nicer to the poor folks. Pop Century's stop is right outside the door. I keep wondering why they haven't moved one of the others down to #9 and moved Pop on around the walk.

This is pretty good stuff.

Chilling out in the room and giving tired legs a chance to rest - that's a good thing. :)

Thankfully, I haven't had issues with Crocs. I like my Adidas sliders, too, for comfort.

That's interesting info about how to find out wether it is ok to play in a fountain!

Looks like you had fun on EE! :thumbsup2

I knew crocs were evil ;)

I think I broke the first rule and did not wear them enough to break them in. Of course I have not worn them for that long since but they are comfy in short spurts.

Those couple of hours in those crocs set the tone for the rest of the trip. :sad2:

I agree. DHS is the nicest. AK is up and around but WL and GF are pretty far too, just on the closer side. ;)

You are the one that made my dinner choice easy for me. I HAD to make that stop back at the room. I needed to get my comfy sneakers back on my feet. :cool1:

Water features and that kind of stuff is what I know so I am happy to share. :goodvibes

Hot tubs too. You may not want to know what I know :scared1::rolleyes1

I  EE.

Joining in for the fun! I have to go back and look but I am almost sure we were at AK the same day you were-July 8th last year. However, we were probably back at the pool when you arrived.

Can't wait to read more!

party::welcome:party: Glad to have you around.

All in all, I really like the weather in Oct. and over the holidays was nice even though it was cool/cold in Dec/Jan.

Of course a family trip way back in '98 was in June and it was a record heatwave so we employed the get up early - go out and sweat- go back to the room rest and pool and back out in the late evening. That was my plan this time too but as you can see the first day I go all out commando.

I love your EE photo!! Awesomeness!

You were having some serious bus mojo there!! 5 minutes is almost as good as one just waiting there.

All in all, a very good AK day!

I could ride EE all night. In fact, if you remember a comment you made to me on that EMH night in Sept. I took that suggestion/dare. :rolleyes1

I was thankful for quick busses. You could melt in that summer heat.

Oh boy, I can't wait to hear about that!!

As for summer heat, my fanny knows all about it. I was wishing there was a Kali near the Morocco Pav!

Great update, Pat. Sorry about the shoes...no fun having shoes that hurt.

Great photos of EE.

I guess I will get to the September AK EMH part right around the time you do? :rotfl:

September was hot but July was just like stepping into the steam room turned on high.

Not too bad for landing in FLA and running out to the "mystery "park right away.

Now I just wear the sneakers on the plane and deal with the taking off and putting back on. I was trying to be be smart and wearing something simple for the airport but the result was not smart for the park. :rolleyes1

I need to wait for the front car and take the track picture. :goodvibes

I decided not to wait until the top of the next page on purpose. :)
I left you at the entrance at EPCOT.

MeMom this one is for you.

I walk to the other side of the “ball” to get fountain pictures
Take #1

OOPS Family with stroller.
Take #2

IMG_3333.jpg

Ugh Family with 2 strollers and woman on cell phone.
Take #3 Third times a charm right?

IMG_3334.jpg

Finally but of course the fountain part is less than impressive. Oh well.
I walk towards World Showcase. I had a couple of informational pictures I had to get.
A picture of Morocco with ToT peeking in the background

IMG_3335.jpg

As I continue walking towards Canada, I catch this sight.

IMG_3336.jpg

I do have to say that is one unique sight.

Next up I look for the “rock “ with the speakers and lights for illuminations.
Dan this one is for you.

IMG_3337.jpg

If you look carefully you can see the line on the rock as part of the portion that raises up.

Continuing around World

IMG_3338.jpg

I cross the bridge and begin to enter France. I see this woman. She is not some young 20 something. She is a mature woman so this look was a little “ young” for her.

IMG_3340.jpg

A few of France.
IMG_3341.jpg

IMG_3342.jpg

My goal was to get a pastry in France and an adult beverage and watch Illuminations. Apparently I was not the only one with that idea. The line in the bakery was long and I was a little stressed hoping I would not miss Illuminations.

I finally get a strawberry tart and a grey goose slushie.
No pictures. I know <hangs head and says no pictures>

I rush to eat balance the food and get my camera out for Illuminations. A juggling act that Italian mime Sergio would be proud to see.
I manage this.

IMG_3347.jpg

Why does this always look a little out of control?

IMG_3348.jpg

I always try to get a good shot of the globe. This is the best one.

IMG_3349.jpg

The finale

IMG_3356.jpg

My spot this time was right by the American Adventure because I snapped this as soon as it was over.

IMG_3357.jpg

With Illuminations over I am free to wander EMH. I really like EPCOT EMH. It is so peaceful and usually quiet. You can really hear the music at each pavillion and the crowds thin enough to allow slow strolling and frequent stopping. Next up strollin' and stoppin', stoppin' and strollin'

Nice pictures Pat. It's awfully hard to get pictures of anything at Disney without people walking through!

Good picture of the globe.

I was pretty patient but it seemed as soon as I got it all lined up and steady, in walked people. The Lady on the cell was out of the frame and then she staggered back in.

That and trying to time with the fountain did not help. :headache:

That was the best globe picture to date I have taken, minimal blur.
