Review The Sheraton Vistana Resort Thread (key links on p.1)

When did you do the booking? Was it before Dec? I communicated with Expedia, I got confirmation from them I don't need to pay for parking fee or resort fee for my upcoming trip! I hope you can get a reimbursement for the parking you paid if you happen to book your trip early!

Thanks for your headsup regarding on the pool chairs! Which section did you stay in? If you don't mind can you share which room it is so that I can avoid that weird room?
We stayed in Cascades bldg 11. Our room was ground level end room on the left if your standing in front of the building. I booked it about a week before we checked in. It was unfortunately a last minute booking as my VRBO reservation cancelled on me last minute

I assume you spent time at Disney according to your name? How's driving there from the resort? No traffic I hope? How's your experience there staying offsite?

The drive is relatively quick and easy. Take a right on 535 when exiting the resort, at the next light which is the corner of 535 & 536 take a right and within 1/2 mile you will start seeing Disney signs and you will pass under the Walt Disney World arch. One of the 1st turns offs will be for Disney Springs and Typhoon Lagoon. It took us about 7 minutes to get from Sheraton to the parking garage at Disney Springs (we got lucky with the lights). Location wise we had no complaints it really only added about 5-7 minutes to our drive to any location on Disney property compared to when we stay at WBC which is literally in the middle of Disney property. Like I said the resort is nice enough it just wasn't for us but due to last minute cancelations and slim pickings for finding something that we found acceptable that is where we ended up. Would we stay again?, probably not.

Hello everyone, planning a 10 night trip for 6 ppl (5 adults and 1 child age below 9) next Apr 2026 during our kids spring break which falls right smack dab in the middle of Easter. We’ve done Club Wyndham at Bonnet Creek before but VacationUpgrades has retired and extra holidays has the 10 night period in question blocked off. I found that Sheraton Vistana Villas (not Villages) is eligible for Points Boost on my husbands credit card points which essentially would get us a 2br at a real world value of $1,650 to $1,950. My question to you readers on the forum - is the 2br with 1260 sq ft worth it over the 2br with 1211 sq ft. Booking via the credit card is like booking via Expedia. I want either Fountains I or Cascades with its proximity to the pool location (and elevator at Cascades). I’ve looked at the resort info but it doesn’t tell me which phase it would put us in. So, should I go with the larger 2br for $300 more?

We have only stayed once, and I think we were in Fountains... Honestly we found it kind of run down and dirty... but it was very cheap and worked for us...

Instead of the square footage, tell us the type of beds it lists for the second bedroom, and we can help tell you what phase you can get. I believe the 1260 square feet one will get you into Fountains or Cascades upon request, assuming that room type shows two double beds in the second bedroom. That’s the type we booked before we learned how to get Vistana using getaways on Interval International (You get a free account there if you own DVC).

If it’s two single beds in the second bedroom, that won’t get you fountains or cascades or lakes, i think that gets you courts, and maybe others.

Personally, my choices would be:

1. Lakes (Very similar to fountains, and located right next to fountains, but has elevators);
2. Fountains
3. Cascades.

If you get lakes or fountains, ask for the top floor, the living room has a cathedral ceiling and skylight.
