The "Service"

My grandpop was in the army was stationed in Germany.
My grandpa was in the air force and was in both the Vietnam and Korean wars, and then moved all over afterwards.
My uncle went to the Naval Academy, and then served for 20 years after graduating. He hasn't been to a war, but has been stationed in Canada, Bahrain, California, DC, and Annapolis.
My dad went to the Naval Acadmey too and served for 11 years after graduating. He didn't go to war either, but he was stationed in Mississippi, California, Florida, and eventually in Jersey, which is where we stayed.

Currently my Dad is in the Army reserves (he's actually getting a haricut for this weekend's drill right now), and he used to be Air Force like my grandpa. My uncle was in Desert Storm, one cousin and one second cousin used to be Army and they both spent some time serving overseas (in Afghanistan and Iraq/Germany, respectively), and my great-grandfather was also military.

My uncle is in the National Guard, he got back from Iraq awhile ago.
Both my grandpas were in the Korean War.

My cousin just started West Point. One of my grandpa's was in WWII and the other was in Vietnam.

I've got friends in JROTC? haha, but I don't think that counts.
My grandpa was in the Navy.

My grandfather was in the Korean War. He worked on the HMCS Haida and something else.

And my brothers, friend's father is in the military and works to get the solidiers what they need for day to day life.

I was running down the hall trying to catch someone earlier today, and an ROTC kid stopped me and said "we need you on RAIDERS" (raiders is this hardcore physical training thing) my jaw dropped (i'm not at all physical. the only thing I can do is run)

I can't take orders. I usually ask "why" when I'm told to do something. I mean, I'll do it, but I want to understand why you want me to do it. That doesn't work in the military.

Same, except I'm a horrible runner. Basically the only athletic ability I had was volleyball and that's gone now......

Oh well! :)

Papa - Army during WWII, he even brought back a Nazi nurses armband...looks pretty cool
Uncle - Navy
Cousin 1 - Army
Cousin 2 - Army

as far as friends and everyone goes:
Boyfriend - Air Force
One of my best friends - Marines (he graduates boot camp in a month)
Other one of my best friends - Air Force (just graduated boot camp)
Friend - Navy (got out 3 months ago)
Other friend - Army (2nd tour in Iraq starts in 2 months)
