Because it's Fall in the US and because I needed to get a shot for the DisBoard Photography Fall Scavenger Hunt, I made these Apple Cider Donuts!

I think that my cooking this dish gives you a degree of insight into some of the lengths that I go to for the sake of a shot. And some of you may be sitting there wondering about my (in)sanity and thought process.…but compared to some of my other ‘photography adventures’, this is mild by comparison.

I have a recipe for something like that. You line a muffin pan with thin sliced ham, spoon some sautéed mushrooms into each cup and crack an egg on top and bake 20 mins. Adding the bacon garnish would be an excellent use of pork products!

this one lines the muffin pan with a slice of bread, and uses egg and bacon, but I think I like the ham slice better... more pig is better...

I have to say these do look wonderful...I like the ham idea. My mother-in-law just about ruined bacon for me for the rest of my life! But ham that's another story.

I used to make them when we were on a low carb diet, so the bread would not have been a superior option. I agree, more pork = better.
