The Rookies Trip Report - Day 4

All first timers for WDW, DL in 2000

Day 4- EE at AK, and PS for breakfast with Donald and friends. Still looked like rain. Breakfast was a real treat, but DH was in a grumpy mood. Not a good sign. Went on the Safari, liked it, and did some trails. I don't know if it is because the park is smaller, but it was extremely crowded, and DH hates crowds. It was also very humid, and then it started to rain again. We did the Safari again in the rain. When it stopped raining, we tried to catch the Tarzan show but it was cancelled because of the wet stage. Rides had a big wait. We did the 3D Bug show which DS 7 hated. DH really liked it! Walked around quite a bit more, then decided to go over to MGM. DH was not having fun, and making us all a bit touchy. This was our least favorite park I believe. Going to MGM was a good decision as everybody cheered up once we got there, and we were able to catch Fantasmic that night. That was truly magical and incredible.

Don't feel bad-I've already picked up a sweatshirt for my Husband from the Disney Store for our next trip. It says "Happy to be Grumpy" and has a big picture of Grumpy on it!

On our last trip ds (10) used his own saved money to buy dh a "grumpy" tshirt, pin, and coffee mug. I think he was trying to give him a hint. (actually on our last trip--2weeks ago--- dh did real good managing the crowds-I was proud of him)
Also, we didn't care for AK due to the walkway's are so narrow it feels really crowded.

We noticed the walkways too, glad to here it's not just our imagination. I did find a really good Grumpy T-shirt for DH at MGM. It was perfect, I told him to think of AK every time he wears it and I did get a laugh.

My Dh wondered if someone was trying to tell him something on the trip DDIL,and DD gave him a Grumpy T-shirt and sweatshirt! He bought the Grumpy baseball hat so he can be a triple Grump!

Loved your replies about Grumpy shirts. It makes me feel better knowing that it is not just my husband. If you can keep it light, it usually helps to take the edge off whatever is happening. I think I will to the Disney Store to get a Grumpy shirt for our upcoming trip.
