Yeah, I got that. But I wanted to know why she had this aura and why she couldn't stop hurting people etc. What was wrong with her in the first place? I guess I wanted more information about her BEFORE she was killed.
And I totally missed the eye at the end, I guess. I had sort of stopped paying attention by then.
The location of the well didn't make sense to me either.
I thought the film was interesting visually, but that's about it.
The aura was just something the girl had. It appears she was born evil and apparently came equiped with an evil aura as standard equipment. I got the sense her parents messed with something really evil in order to get pregnant. Remember that her father said that his wife was never intended to have a child. Also, the doctor said that the couple had left for a while, and when they came back they had the kid and were claiming to have adopted her.
I never concluded that the girl had to come out of the TV to kill. We only heard of 2 cases in which she did so (the first and the last deaths of the movie). It is not mentioned in any of the other deaths. Remember, she appear to people in their dreams as well, so she seemed to be pretty versitile as to how she could manifest herself.
The whole scene on the fairyboat was a bit over the top. If the nice horsey begins freaking out when you appraoch. it might be a good clue that you should back away. But no, our heroine persists in trying to make friends with Flicka, until she learns first hand that horses dont water ski very well. Still, this was the only scene I didn't like in the movie.
Regarding the well, I got the impression the parents took her away to murder her. I think the idea was to kill get her as far away from possible, just to be safe. On a related note, did anyone notice that the resort was shut down when they returned to it? It had been open just 7 days before.
I loved the ending of this movie, with the kid asking what will happen to the person he gives the video to. I thought that was a nice touch. The images on that video were so haunting (no pun intended). They really stuck with me.
