The Return of the Disney Box--Trip Report Started--PTR Complete =)

44 Days. A beautiful number, one like any other in Disney Planning. Four months of planning are coming down to this: I have 44 days left of planning. 6 Weeks. And in the past three weeks, I have done nothing. Nada. NONE-THING.

What is wrong with this picture? I get started. I promise I do. Then I get all sidetracked and forget what I was doing. So I start all over again. But that is not the biggest reason why in recent days I'm so seriously behind in planning. My biggest reason is recreation baseball and softball. All three of the kids are playing. Boo and Big Ole Boy are playing machine pitch instructional ball. DH is the coach. Sweetie is playing 9-10 years old slow pitch softball. My job is to take her around to all of the different places she has to play.

So. . .what's going on right now? Panic is officially setting in. Gillian and I are now talking weekly, and she is going to come by my classroom tomorrow.

I do, however, know the plan for our travel day. . .

4:30 am on June 23, 2009--we are leaving home. Yes. 4:30 am. I know. Real early. The theory here is that the kids will be so drowsy that they will be good for the first 2 hours, then we will get breakfast and they will either play games for a while or they will go to sleep. Either way, my children are MUCH better behaved in the hours before 2pm than the hours afterward. I don't know why, but that's the case.

So, where was I?

4:30 am--Depart home
arrive in Orlando 2:30-3:00 (accounting for meal stops)
visit the grocery store
check in (by 5pm)
unpack and go over to the Boardwalk for ice cream at Beaches and Cream
go over to Epcot for extra magic hours for 1-2 hours
return to POR
go to bed--Magic Kingdom is the next day!

So now that I know how I'm getting there, the question is this: what am I doing the rest of the days?!?!? Yep, when I think of that, the panic sets in. Six weeks. I have not begun to pack. I have not looked at the packing list. I have not made touring plans. The constriction of the panic is getting worse and worse. Thank goodness I still do have 44 days.

We got a lot of time lol :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1. I too haven't done much in the last few weeks. 38 days EEEEK

Last week's update revealed my panic slowly settling in for the trip. We have 37 days (I don't personally count today, as it has already started, lol) and I have done NOTHING in the past few weeks. Mostly this was because I have spen so much time at the recreation park with baseball and softball, I don't know whether I've been coming or going in the past few weeks. At some point in time, when I knew Gillian was coming to the class to visit and give one of the seniors a card, I realized something--I gotta get my be-hind in gear! I mean, honestly, what's wrong with me?!?

So this week, I've been doing daily itineraries. And apprently, I'm going to bed with packin on my mind. Because on Wednesday morning, or maybe Thursday--I can't remember, I woke up in a cold sweat.

In the dream we were in Disney.

I was congratulating myself over the way I had packed the car. Everything fit.

Then we started unpacking in the room and I had a slight problem.

I packed plenty for me. But the kids only had underwear and socks. :rotfl2:

SO I take everyone to Target, but it's in a bad part of town, and I wake up scared to death.

So what am I doing this weekend? You got it--I'm doing a little packing. You know, outfits I got for the kids that are specifically for Disney, and not for them to wear.

You know, perhaps, there is a therapy group for nightmares like that. Or perhaps I need to just chill. I'm thinking the latter is the most likely choice.

We are also on the official travel documents watch! With 37 days left to go, I'm thinking documents will arrive late this coming week or early the next week. And trust me, I'll be posting pics! (As well as one of the countdown calendar, which has officially started, as well!)

Hope to get another update in this weekend! Til then, have a Magical Day, all of you!

Oh sweetie, you're already IN the therapy group....It's called The DIS Boards!::yes::

Because quite frankly, if we can't help you, you can't be helped!!:lmao:

.

You know, they say a worth a thousand words, so why don't I just cut to the chase and say 4,000 words in the smallest amount of space possible:

So, there you have it. This week, I will be packing for myself, as the kids will need most of their clothes, but I will still be working. I will also be finidhing up the binder and touring cards.

I am so excited! Less than one month left. In 2 days, it will be June and June 23 won't be far behind!!!

It's also time to start thinking of a trip report title! HELP ME, PLEASE! The best title ever is help in my October PTR (We're Happier than a Tornado in a Trailer Park).

Can anyone think of a line from one of my favorite 2 movies:

National Treasure or Enchanted

Or maybe, should I just go with what has been playing in my head for the past week:

What Time is it? It's Summertime! (From HSM2)

HELP ME, DISERS! HELP ME PLEASE!

Oh, yeah, and I'm also planning on doing a dining report--and that title is already planned:

Best. Nom. Ever. (in honor of legomom)

So 20 days for you 18 days for me, I am praying it doesn't rain for us! Oh i am starting to freakout! -:confused3:scared1::eek:

Ok, totally blushing over your choice for the Dining TR!!....:flower3: How cool is that?!

Can't help you with this one, however. I've only seen National Treasure once (not enough to know any lines!) and never seen Enchanted.

Don't even get me started on HSM....:headache: (sorry, can't help there either!....:rotfl:)

Rain is nothing to freak out over! I will say that it is the rainy season here in Florida. However, it's the late-day thunderstorm that blows in, rains, and blows out. It's rarely a "wash out" day. Bring ponchos, or just duck for cover while it's raining...It'll be over before you know it and you'll barely notice the hiccup in your touring!:thumbsup2

The rain is not that bad--I'm accustomed to that where I live. It won't last long if it does rain.

I love afternoon tstorms. The dining report is gonna be easy. And I think I have a title for the TR:

What do ya'll think of this:

Oh D-D-D-Dear. . .My Piglet's Birthday In the World

All of the sudden, I'm starting to look very smart again. I mean very, very, very smart. Ya'll wanna know why? Like I said, a picture is worth a thousand words:

40mpg.jpg

Can't see it? It says 40 mpg. Of course, when I took that picture, I had 20,000 less miles on my 2008 Ford Focus, but with gas prices increasing, I'm looking pretty smart. Very Smart. Gas prices are gonna be up in the $3 range or more my the time we leave, so, like I said--I'm patting my back. Let's hope I don't injure myself.

Anywho, the drive down. 4:30 am. We'll be in Florence, SC around 5:45 am and out of South Carolina by 8:00 for sure--we can grab breakfast early and rest when we get into Georgia.

We'll drive down, me driving through South Carolina and Florida, Gillian taking Georgia.

So, we've gone over the itinerary for Tuesday after we get there--let's look at Wednesday:

Go to Magic Kingdom for rope drop.
Stay till lunch.
Return to Port Orleans-Riverside
Dinner at MK (Crystal Palace)
Stay at MK until close.

Long day, huh? It's going to be awesome!!!!
