The Return of the Disney Box--Trip Report Started--PTR Complete =)

I love the binder!!! And the box!! I'm new to the boards, but I love the PTRs for all the planning help!

Welcome to the DISboards, and welcome to planning! I have lots of the charts you see in Excel documents and am happy to send them to you if you need. :)

As if a box were not enough to get my little creative brain going....now there is....

....a binder....

:lmao:

And looking at that pile of receipts you have makes me all warm and fuzzy to know that I'm not the only one who does that!!!!!!!:rotfl:

I actually found it helpful to refer to some of those when I was doing my TR, because I couldn't remember which night we'd gone to DTD - I just looked at my receipts for Earl of Sandwich and got the date!

.

And the problem is, Legomom, the more and more I write my PTR, I realize how OCD I truly am. And I really need everything organized or my world falls apart. As much as I love Gillian, she certainly is not like that, lol. She's gonna think I'm crazy when I want to clean a resort room that is being cleaned daily.

I'm sure a good number of us have WDW receipts all over the place. I have some dated 2007, as a matter of fact, around here somewhere. :rolleyes1

Thanks so much!! I am hoping it will be either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how much time I have...thanks for the vibes too!!

It's 3 am. The house is quiet. The kids are snoring. The boy has just placed his thrid tooth under the pillow in hopes that the tooth fairy will come. And I? Well, I'm praying that the Tooth Fairy will bring Tinkerbell along for the ride.

Need I even remind you what Tink indeed left behind?

IMG_1325.jpg

Yup--the purge of the attic and the Disney gear brought about the need for a second Disney Box. That Disney cupboard is sounding good about now. . .

For now, though, I'll just deal with two boxes.

As I settle down to organize my mess (ahem, Disney box), I feel the need to get in the mood. To set the stage, so to speak. And what better way, other than my favorite recent Disney movie. . .

IMG_1327.jpg

I am singing "How Do You Know?" and "Happy Working Song" as I look at the DVD case. If you haven't seen this movie, ya have to. Ya just have to. My children love listening to the Soundtrack CD in the car. Yet another mood setter. . .

So, I've set the mood and the first thing I pull out is our fanny packs. This will be the third trip for each of them. I love the kids' and I Disney-fied mine with a Mickey pin. (Is Disney-fired a word?)

IMG_1328.jpg

For a little close up on the purse and matchin wallet on the bottom left corner, it's from the Disney store. I love the hidden Mickey touches. This is the most clear one--there are many.

IMG_1330.jpg

And it pays to look inside the fanny packs--3 unused ponchos and a pair of sunglasses. Those will come in handy in Florida in June.

IMG_1331.jpg

Finally, my trusty old bookbag. I love this bag--everything can fit in here. I got it from Office Depot when they were trying to get rid of "Back to School" supplies in the end of September for our October trip. It now doubles as the bag I carry back and forth to work with my Disney planning binder.

IMG_1332.jpg

And what is a trip without a few samples. . .
IMG_1334.jpg

Finally, camera gear. I have 2 2GB memory cards, 1 4GB memory card, and 2 more 2 GB cards on the way. I also plan to bring the camcorder, but I don't know why. I never use it. Sweetie is going to have her own camera and I will buy a few disposables for Big Ole Boy and Boo.

IMG_1338.jpg

IMG_1339.jpg

So all of those are going into the Disney box. Clothes?!? Well, that's another report worthy of a commercial break.

Up next. . .We Now Interrupt this Trip Report for a Commercial Break

How on earth can I fit everything for two women and three children into this car?

allclean.jpg

Why, SPACEBAGS, of course!

IMG_1341.jpg

Space bags can turn this. . .

IMG_1340.jpg

IMG_1343.jpg

into this. . .

IMG_1344.jpg

And two Disney boxes? Psh. . . .

Take a look-see. . .

IMG_1349.jpg

For colossial packing power in an itty-bitty packing space, buy Space Bags.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled pre-trip report and the next episode: SHOPPING!

So, it's not Sunday, my typical updating day. . .I just have to exclaim that June hours are out! :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :dance3:

Now for some real planning!

And. . .lookie. . .

Were were thinking of doing the Deluxe Dining Plan again, but the $775 price tag nixed that thought real quick. Also, I'm thinking that might be too much food for my kids' stomachs in the heat. I am figuring that if I have to, I'll just buy breakfast OOP. The kids, remember, are big breakfast eaters. I know we could use the snack credits, but I'd rather save those for a Lemonade in the parks. And I know we'll need lunch to get out of the heat before we head back to the resort pool. Anywho, this is what I think our dinners will be like. . .

June 23--Arrival--no ADR--may go to DTD and grab a bite from McDOnald's there; may run to Epcot for dinner at Sunshine Seasons and Illuminations.

June 24--Magic Kingdom (hours 9-10)--dinner at Crystal Palace

June 25--Hollywood Studios (hours 9-9)--dinner at Captain's Grill

June 26--EPCOT (hours 9-9)--dinner at Garden Grill

June 27--EPCOT(hours 9-9)--Dinner at Coral Reef

June 28--Animal Kingdom (hours 9-7)--Dinner at the Wave

June 29--Magic Kingdom (hours 9-10)--Dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe

June 30--Typhoon Lagoon (hours 9-7:30); Animal Kingdom (9-7)--Dinner 1900 Park Fare

July 1--Departure date--Breakfast at Crystal Palace before park opens and leave after visiting some old favorites by noon

So tell me. . .what do ya'll think?

So I love to shop. This is mostly to the chagrin of my husband, but there you have it. I love shopping. I used to shop a lot more than I do now. Nowadays I shop only when I really need something and not before then. And not after then or the times in the middle. I shop only when I need it.

Which at times leads to unfortunate large shopping trips. :confused3 Last year this time, I bought plenty of Disney shirts, and that was great. We had nothing but Disney t-shirts for the trip, which took us right into the whole magic of Disney on a daily basis. So, this time, we’ll be doing a similar thing. Except mote days=more shirts. :rolleyes1 And none of this nansy-pansy Capri thing in the summer in Florida. We need shorts. And lots of them.

So one of the problems with losing all of the weight I lost is I don’t have the clothes that fit anymore. Typically I just wear capris so last summer that was all I got. I think, however, it will be too hot for capris in June in Florida.

I could be wrong.

But I don’t think I am.

So, on to purchases. This was a great find at Wally-world recently. . .shorts from last summer--$3.00 a pair.
IMG_1333.jpg

Then, these shorts I got from JC Penney a couple of weeks ago. I love them—nice and long and they cover my few varicose veins nicely, lol. :thumbsup2

IMG_1361.jpg

On to my shirts. They were a great find at the Disney store. I hate to admit this, but I did not have any Mickey Mouse shirts. None. Nada. :sad2: Believe it or not, that was the case. Until I got these beauties.

IMG_1348.jpg

This one is a man’s Mickey shirt. I love it, though.

IMG_1359.jpg

And what’s a girl without a little Grumpy? I love this one—him with all the flowers.

IMG_1347.jpg

And my favorite—Pooh.

IMG_1360.jpg

Of course, the kids needed some clothes, too. This is the biggest necessity of it all—the kids.

For Big ‘Ole Boy. . .He loves Toy Story, so of course, this was a no-brainer.

IMG_1354.jpg

I love these outfits. I got the shorts at JC Penney’s, the Phineas and Ferb t-shirt at the Disney Store and the Indiana Jones shirt on the clearance rack at Wally-world. The IJ shirt was only $3! A steal.
IMG_1353.jpg

He also needed an extra set of swimming trunks. And he loves camo, so this was the find for him. . .

IMG_1352.jpg

The girls were another matter. I love Boo’s outfit here, as I absolutely adore the colors of the shorts. :lovestruc

IMG_1355.jpg

And then Sweetie loves the Wizards of Waverly Place, so a Selena Gomez shirt is a must. . .

IMG_1356.jpg

The girls didn’t get as much as the boy this time, as they have a lot more clothes than their brother. Go figure that one. :confused3

I also got a new swimsuit, which dh says looks like a china pattern. I don’t care. I still like it. :thumbsup2

IMG_1362.jpg

Finally, new luggage. We had to get a couple of pieces because dh will be going on a separate vacation the same week, remember. I got these on clearance, and they aren’t the most fancy pieces of luggage, but they will do.

IMG_1358.jpg

In my next entry, more shopping (I went yesterday) and the 100 day countdown calendar.

107 Days to go!

Oh, yeah, the next entry (seeing as how I usually do this on Sundays, will be 100 DAYS!) :dance3:

I can't decide. Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach?

Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

And what on earth is Disney Quest? :rotfl:

I thought, "Maybe I'll sneak no water parks by the kids. . . ." Until Big Ole Boy says, "Why can't we go to both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon?" :sad2:

So, on a Sunda afternoon, which according to my personal experience has to be the absolute worst day to call to make a change to a reservation, I line up in the phone queue for a while. I speak to a lovely CM. "Yes, I'd like to add the WaterPark and More Option to my base tickets." After a few pleasentries, including the typical questioning of all my personal stuff, we add the option.

Total call time? 14 m, 3s. Not bad.

Now I have to fit in that option to our already crowded days.

But you know what? I don't know I'm gonna do that massive planning almost every second of the day out.

I have Ridemax and I'm gonna put on my itinerary the order of rides, but if I don't get to everything, that's okay. I'll be at Disney. For 9 days. And if I don't get everything done, Disney will be there next year.

Now, upon examination of touringplans.com, I realized they've changed the crowd levels for our week. I won't say to what, but let's say I'll be keeping an eye for them to re-creep back up. (Is that even a phrase?)

Anywho, my brief itinerary.

First of all...congrats on the weight loss! :goodvibes

Haha, I love the idea of a Disney box! It's so fun planning, isn't it?! :surfweb:

Love the kiddos! I'll be on the look out for you guys! That's so exciting we're gonna be there the same time. I'm getting really antsy to make our ADR's!

I'm getting antsy about the ADRs, too! I am hoping online ressie system will be up and going as they have promised--they told me again on Sunday that they were continuing to plan on March 22, which is good for us if it really will be up, but possibly bad for us as we could be guinea pigs. . .

Hopefully we can run into each other--you wouldn't be able to miss us, with my youngest. She kind of stands out! :rotfl:

Congrats on the weight loss! it takes so much work to loose weight, I know bc I am currently on the same track!!! Your plans sound great, and I love your Disney box..I might just make one for myself, even though my trip is still farrrr out.

The fact that you love coral reef is great, because i hear so many bad things about it all the time, but DBF reallly wants to go there and so do I...so thanks!! Looking forward to more!

I love all the clothes! MUST get a Phineas and Ferb shirt....we love that show!:)

I also love your ADRs. Some of your places I've never eaten, but I would if I could. Your kids will love Chef Mickey's. Beware the dessert bar......

Lookin' good, kiddo!!:thumbsup2

Coral Reef was one of our favorites in October! It was a nice, calm atmosphere for dinner, our server was awesome, and you can't beat the view!

Good luck at weightloss! It's hard, but it CAN happen! :goodvibes

And it's never to early to start a Disney box. :rolleyes1

The kids adore Phineas and Ferb. Your boys definitely need that one! :thumbsup2 I think the kids will like Chef Mickey's, too. Thanks for the warning about the dessert bar. Do they have a good ice cream topping bar? That's my kids' favorite.
