Kathy, I've setup some free websites on webs.com. The best so far is one for LA alumni for my grad school (University of Chicago) at http://www.uchicagola.com.

Ning is a social networking site that you can customize and each user can set-up their own profile, share music, photos, blogs, chats etc. Much more sophisticated than a discussion board but who would want to replace DIS?

I've set up a ning site for Jordan's Peeps at http://peepfest.ning.com/?xgi=4hp1uSTKpJCDiL

Since I don't know anyone's email address, I couldn't invite you but you can self register. I just started the site so it's a little bare but I'll add stuff to it when I can.

Checking them out as soon as I get to a decent computer.

I created a slightly more tasteful website on webs.com for you in case you wanted to refer your other church peeps as well (considering you're almost paid church staff). Check out http://jordanyosh.webs.com and let me know what content you want me to add. There are several "canned" templates but nothing really rockin'. But it's fairly simple to change the design even after the content has been added. It's like changing the gift wrapping with the contents still inside of the gift box.

Let me know what you think and what you want to add. Oh and I added the dates for your current plans for Peepfest 2012.

Oh Yes, the joy of it all. I just told Jim the other day that he should be getting his this year - I did at 48. He doesn't think so... they will find you. Now I get one every week - I just want to burn them! I'm thinking of telling them to take me off the list and I'll let THEM know when I'm readyu to be old.

I am NOT ready to be 50....

Jordan, you guys just pick the dates without us, and I'll see if I can get Jim to come at that time. He was all for it when we first started talking about the great Peepfest, then he got a little jealous of my DIS time last Fall, so he's a little anti-DIS at this time, too. He may feel better by the time we go - he just doesn't get it. We had fun getting to know you and Wendy and Derek at CC in 2005, so you would think he would get it.

I'm going to chalk it up to stuff that was going on at work with unfaithful spouses and everyone except me pretty much deserting him at the time. I think things will get better.

Well at least Jim has met me and Wendy and Derek so we're not COMPLETE strangers....and he's seen me in swim trunks...

My cousin and I were roomies in college, then we ended up marrying brothers so she's my SIL too. I love it! She is very much my sister and we were each other's MOH at our weddings even though we both have "real" sisters. So I get it.

Wendy and I didn't become close until 1991, but we're tight now. Derek entered the picture in 1994.

On behalf of the women on your TR/future PTR can we avoid using the acronym PAP???

Your 2012 Peep Fest plans look fun! Looks like you are leaning away from late February because of school vacations... unfortunately that's the time we could possibly be there... unless we go in April & I work in a grown-up trip in February...

thanks for the update about peepfest! i'm definitely thinking it's a possibility for me. right now we are playing with the idea of renting a treehouse villa with tara (not sure you know her - eventer98 - she's who i buy all my DVC points from), erica, heather and me and some of our kids for 4 nights in june. not sure when, but probably the mid june dates as opposed to the end of june. the drawback to that is the weather and the crowds. i would love to do february instead but as we are planning on going in december 2011 now, that's just too soon for me to return. if we decide to do october instead, then february could still be a possibility. my heart really is set on december though. we will see how it all plays out! i really am hoping to make it though.

loved the family pics! your family picks good names. avery and ashlyn are two of my favorite names for girls. but i think avery is probably out because we really like millie for a middle name (a combo of our grandmother's names - mildred and billie) and avery millie sounds kinda silly.

I'm partial to the name jordan myself...

Wendy's taken Erin in Sept 2003. So she was 13 months. Dylan in Dec 05, he was 4 months.....

I really hope the 3 of you can make it!

The PAP sounds perfect for you, Jordan! : Very cute pics of the family get together, I can believe everyone was taking pictures of Jeff and Ashlyn, it was very sweet. I'm keeping Peepfest on my radar, but will have to wait and see.

I know there are so many factors that will go into that decision...

The Premiere Passport is mos def a must buy next year.

Wow I'm like 6-7 pages behind!!!

We won't know what DH's work schedule would or could be until we get closer. I really HATE that because I'd like to start planning now. Especially if we are able to do the DCL. I'm nervous about doing it again with the food allergies. I've been thinking about how to make it work so that I can be semi-relaxed and not a ball of nerves every time we eat.

Anyhoo, guess we'll just have to wait at least until 2011 to figure out the schedule.

But you know me, I'm always willing to help plan some meets and such!

Hmmm....will you have a better idea at the end of the year? I guess the June dates won't really change that much because we're pretty much sandwiched in between the end of school and the 4th of July...

My roommate already receives a lot of stuff from them...

Heck my dh, ds, and I live with my parents. Works for us as it allows me to be a SAHM.

dude i like the idea of having the website where you can have charts and graphs and even an introduction video that will play to people when they log on and welcome your peeps. i wont be able to go but it will be fun to see how this thing pans out.
