I agree! I think they should start over and find real OC wives and mothers who are all friends like the show started out. I like Gretchen but I don't think I could watch her and her friends for a whole show.

i look back at the various cast members on the different housewive shows and i think it's telling that one of the only ones (imho) that seemed not to have all the issues and drama was deshawn (rh of atlanta) WHO the producers did'nt have come back for the second season reportedly b/c she was "too human for a circus show" and "did not create enough drama".

i think the casting criteria for these shows must require that a potential "wive" be one or more of the following:

skanky
like to shop
like to constantly consume alcohol
propensity for plastic surgery
history of scandle (evictions, internet porn, high profile divorces, ex-strippers, ex-reality competition show losers)
highly judgmental
highly confrontational
be available to travel/entertain/go out extensively without (1) those pesky younger kids around, and if employed with an employer who supports loooooooooooooooooong lunches, absences without notice, negative impact on their image



and of course-willingness to air and activly explore your child's deepest personal issues (health, drug addiction, promiscuity, arrests, education/learning obsticles....) on international television.

i dunno-lynn keeps going on about how frank misled her about their financial situation leading to the eviction that's being shown on the series- BUT this is'nt their first eviction in recent months/years-would'nt the first time you got evicted for non payment be a heads up to you that something is going on with your finances? their daughter is sitting there talking about all the times they've had to move over the past couple of years-so it's no secret to her whats been going on, and then she tells her dad to stop telling her something like 'this is going to be our year', because he's been saying it year after year to them and she's tired of hearing about something that's just not going to happen (sounds like the financial issues have been long term, and the parents have told her the same song and dance everytime it's come to a head).

ITA! Lynne is only this upset, because this time their eviction happened on camera. They have moved many times leaving trails of debts behind. If you listen to their daughter's word, this is very evident. Frank has three high maintenance women to please as he said that Lynne would only want to live in high rent areas. He is not making money but his wife and daughters keep spending. "Shopping is my sport" is a terrible thing to say when you are homeless and broke....

Also I think that Gretchen is with Slade to ensure her spot on the show. Since Jeff passed away, she has had lots of negative publicity and this relationship is keeping her storyline going on the show. I think that she is a troubled girl and really lacks self esteem.

I just went and looked at the place that Alexis and Jim own in Laguna. That looks like a very cold place. I don't remember the name of it but it is on her blog on bravotv.com. For some reasone I just don't believe it is theirs. I don't know why I just don't think it is. Anyway I think it is a very ugly place imo and I would never stay there!

Honestly I thought it was stupid for Lynn to take her daughter to go talk to Frank. I mean, the way the daughter was talking to her dad was awful.

After seeing this weeks episode, I have to say its a shame that the only person with any maturity and normalcy seems to be Brianna. I can't get over how well she handled that situation. Kudos to her. She made those grown women look like complete fools. Really, this show offers no entertainment anymore. Its just catfight after catfight, its hard to watch really. Like I said in a PP, not at all like the show started out. Bring back the old cast.

Yes, Brianna has matured through the years of RH. There was a time she was a brat and rude to her mom but now look at her. All grown up, educated, with a career. I am so proud of her. And now being handed this crap with the tumors.

I live right here in SoCal. And I know the hospital that Vicki and Brianna went to in the epi 2 weeks ago. One word..OUTSTANDING. So I am so sure she has the best MD's.

OMG and watching Brianna crying during Alexis prayer....this is a tough time for her and her family. I so hope and pray the news is good for her. Please.

One of my Christmas gifts was a DVD set of the very first season of "The Real Housewives Of Orange County".. (I never even knew this show existed until a year or two ago..) I haven't watched it yet, but I'm sure it will be interesting - based on all of your opinions that they should "bring the old cast back"..

This DVD has Jo, Jeana, Lauri, Vicki, and Kimberly.. The only housewife I've never seen before is Kimberly.. Should be interesting..

For the most part, this past weeks show was "annoying" - at best.. Hard to believe that Lynn cold possibly be as "clueless" as she seems; Alexis all but kissing her DH's feet makes me sick to my stomach; glad Vicki could "carve out some time" to go with her DD for her biopsy ; Slade just creeps me out entirely; and I think Tamra is going to "reap what she has sowed" - and it won't be pretty..

If this week isn't a little more interesting, I might just stop watching the rest of the season and patiently await the return of HONJ..

So Gretchen only sold makeup to 1 person? she was probably sent by the producers. I think the makeup name is to long.

I think Gretchen seems like a nice person, but her marketing sense is virtually nil. I have had two ideas regarding some of her recent endeavours.
*She should have sold her garage-sale stuff on EBay, she would have made a fortune! (or at least done better than selling almost nothing for basically nothing that day).
*She should be selling her make-up line on QVC or HSN. I *know* it would do well. She's personable(good spokesperson), has lots of fans(built-in marketing base), has a lot of product to move(already has incurred the start-up expense, QVC/HSN wouldn't have to ramp up production anywhere).

I cannot believe he said that! The way he kept making his little remarks to her and his looks of constraint made me feel like she was going out to dinner with her father, not her husband.

Ugh!!! Yes all good Christians wear thong bathingsuits.

I don't think I could despise Alexis and Jim more than I do. My religion is a real part of my life, not just a passing thought to make me feel less guilty. Their hypocrisy and horrible values make me sick! It's really saying a lot that I dislike Alexis more than Tamra too.
