I could not stomach they way Alexis was talking about her mom and how awful it is to be "plain". Either that was part of her job interview for her new job or she had already gotten the job and was "working" during last night's episode.

I felt terrible for her mom. I wonder how her mom felt when she saw the show. Probably something like "Where did I go wrong with that girl?" On the other hand her mother (who didn't work according Alexis) saved up the money herself for this work to be done. So she must have really wanted it. Perhaps she realized how "plain" she was.

When Alexis went out to dinner with her mother, her mother looked beautiful! She looked better than a lot of women her age. She didn't need to have anything done. It must be hard to have a DD pushing you to change yourself into what she thinks you should be.

I realize this is an unpopular opinion, but I don't see Simon as a terrible villain here. I do think he and Tamra were mismatched from day one. However, she is very crass and behaves with little class. And by the way, class isn't about money, it's about the way one carries themself. Unfortunately, I think Simon let Tamra's beauty impact his decision to marry her. I think the things that he "has to put up with" were things that annoyed him from day one. While I don't agree with the way either one of them has treated each other, Tamra's antics haven't exactly been appropriate. You can be sexy but still act like a responsible wife and mother. Can you imagine what her kids will think of her when they watch these episodes some day? I think Simon is edited to seem more controlling than he really is. Tamra seems to have plenty of freedom for a wife and mother. She has a resposibility to carry herself as such...just my opinion.

I still can't forget the time when Tamraaaaaaa casually remarked "oh, why don't you take that knife and slit my throat". What made it even worse was there were kids all over the place and none of the adults even seemd to notice. (This was AlexiJim's first episode, when they went to Tamraaaaaa's for the pool-party.)


Just thinking about her saying that still gives me the creeps...

I agree with you! I think that Simon is edited to look bad but when they show her say and do some of the things she does it is hard to believe he controls her that much. I like Simone and feel sorry for him. She is just trash. And maybe he thought he could change her, I don't know but he deserves much better!

I agree. I think some men look for women for all the wrong reasons and then are shocked when they don't get what they want. Simon probably wanted a "hot wife" and he got one, but he wasn't planning on getting a "trashy" wife too. I am not a fan of Simon's by any means though - actually I'm not a fan of anyone on this show. I guess Gretchen is the only one I can tolerate.

Tamra seems to have been this way before they met, and he married her for better or worse. I think these are two people who married when he was making good money, she was a single mom who went from modest income to a beautiful home etc. Now that money's tight, his ego is hurt and he snaps at her and she is ready to get out from a sinking financial situation.

I think Simon's "control" issue is really making sure his business reputation doesn't suffer from her behavior. They probably behaved like this in private before, but he wants to portray a conservative and modest image to his business associates and customers. Although I would think the tequila business could handle a little fun

I totally agree with you. Tamra doesn't have any class. She even said so herself at her birthday dinner on the last episode...she said she was like a truck driver with ****!

I have been wondering what she is gonna do with her new tatoo on her ring finger with Simon's name? Bet she is regretting that now!

Eesh. Well, it is pretty weird to see her kiss someone else when on the show she comments everyone's marriage while bragging about her own

Based on her personality and how I've seen her on the show, I don't think it's shocking or even a big deal and I bet you her husband will be fine with it.

I actually don't think a drunkin kiss while partying on vacation is full on 'cheating' as the article implies but that's just my opinion based on her previous behavoir. She even knew the cameras were there.
