Anybody ever see the movie about his life? It really is touching, it's called "The Pride of the Yankees". I'd even recommend watching it even if it was about a RS player, that's how good it is.

It's really, really sad. His disease was such a terrible thing, he was such a nice man. You know they names the diease "in honor" of him? It's now the Lou Gehrig disease. Not so sure I'd want a disease named after me... but hey.

The Red Sox added another body to their infield mix on Thursday, when they acquired Minor League veteran Brent Dlugach from Detroit in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named. The other half of the transaction will have to be finalized by April 15 of next season, giving Boston all of Spring Training to evaluate Dlugach first.
