So?
Just because you're not doing something shouldn't mean I shouldn't either.
I'll quote Derek Jeter/quote quotes about DJ all day long if that's what makes me happy
k whatever.
[About Derek Jeter] "Legend has it that at the age of five, Derek told everybody he would someday be the Yankees starting shortstop. They laughed then; they're cheering now. No position player has made such a vital contribution in his first year in the Bronx since Joe DiMaggio." - Keith Olbermann

I don't know what the term "jog on" means, but I guess it's something like "yeah right". Jeter is the best baseball player of our- his generation. I'm okay that you can't admit that, but deep down you know it's true. I know it sure is true, no matter what you say... (:
An insult, meaning '**** off'; from the British film "The Football Factory"
and nope, not a bone or blood cell in my body thinks that.
trust me with that one, if Jeter is so great, why hadn't I ever heard of him until I met you.

...Because you live in England. Where baseball isn't a big sport, at all. And you're dad is a RS fan, why would he talk about the Yankees? That's exactly why you've never heard of him before.

"Somebody once asked me if I ever went up to the plate trying to hit a home run. I said, 'Sure, every time.'" -Mickey Mantle

Dinner time, be back later.

tru dat. but I didn't even know Jeter was supposed to be the big 'look at me' player. yeh, Marco Scutaro plays SS. so do quite a lot of players. and Tek has been a great captain. I think. idek what the Captain does xD

I need to find a Sharpie, so I can colour in this pair of 3D glasses I own. At the moment, they're Hannah Montana themed, but I aim to turn them into plain black.

love my friends facebook status (:
'Rose ------ -------, Eimear -------- -------, Sewa -------, Claire -------- we make the best group- had the best nightt <3'
aw hannnaahhhhh. it was so awesome though :') we had sparklers and we ate toasted marshmallows and party rings and we wrapped each other up as mummies in loo roll and had a 'snowball' fight with the loo roll, and ran round a forest in the dark and ate sausages :')
best night.

"To play eighteen years in Yankee Stadium is the best thing that could ever happen to a ballplayer." -Mickey Mantle

I guess it just depends on where you live? I've met people who have never watched a game of baseball in their life, but they still know who Derek Jeter is. If you know baseball, you know who the best players are- even if they're not on your team. Never heard of Scrutaro... or Tek... Boston player, I assume? Actually, Scrutaro sounds a little familiar, I have no idea what he looks like though... Captains? They're just... captains... they're the ones who pretty much tell their team members what to do, just like any captain would (:

[About Mickey Mantle] "No man in the history of baseball had as much power as Mickey Mantle. No man. You're not talking about ordinary power. Dave Kingman has power. Willie Mays had power. Then when you're talking about Mickey Mantle - it's an altogether different level. Separates the men from the boys." - New York Yankees Manager Billy Martin

"I have played professional baseball for over half my life. From the time I picked up a baseball glove, I did not want to put it down." -Bernie Williams

Ahhhh... he used to be my favorite Yankee player. I still love him. I wish he didn't have to go and get all old. He was a great ball player, and still one of my absolute favorites :D

"My experience over 17 years playing with the Yankees, these are a few of the things that I've learned. You've got to have a plan of action, You have to stay focused on the things you can control, and don't get discouraged or distracted by the things you cannot control." -Bernie Williams

i feel kinda really stupid right now.

I lost my flash drive a week ago, and my entire life was on it.

Today, (a week and 4 days after it went missing) I realized that everything I had on there that I'd need again, I either had on hard copy or saved to my computer at home.

I almost cried that I still had it, then almost cried because it took me so long to realize that.

[About Bernie Williams] "If the Mets fans who hate Bernie Williams ever met him, they'd love him." - Sportswriter Barry Stanton
