The Problem Is Too Much Pooh

But with that said, I do see your point. I thought there would be more than just Pooh at the Animation Building. What a missed opportunity there. I know one time we saw Rabbit in the UK and we were so excited. You never see Piglet, except at CP.

Maybe it was due in part to being at MVMCP but I saw Piglet and Pooh together in their Christmas attire a few years ago, 2010. It was not by anything special ... I feel like it was around Frontier Land in a make-shift meet and greet area. It was my first visit so I didn't think it was out of the ordinary at all.

Bring on the villains! Where is Maleficent, Yzma, Gaston, Lotso, Gov. Ratcliffe, Syndrome, Davy Jones, Captain Barbossa, Scar, etc. Enough with the cuteness already!

Well said! Variety is the spice of life.

I think they've tried that and there are complaints about the villains acting too much like villains. I remember a thread a month ago or so where the pirates at the Pirate's League upset a child who had just had her appointment at BBB and was dressed as Tinker Bell. The child didn't understand that the pirates were acting like, well, pirates and it ruined some of the "magic" for the child.

Personally, I would love some villains. Can't have a hero if you don't have a villain!

That's right, I can't stand Winnie the Pooh. But let me explain. My family and I love meeting characters at WDW. Every character greeting holds something new and time we get to spend with Disney characters is time well spent.

But seriously, enough Pooh already.:headache:

He's EVERYWHERE! On our last trip we saw his fat behind at Crystal Palace, the England pavilion, 1900 Park Fare, the Hollywood Studios hat, the HS Animation building, and Main St USA. We were there for only 4 days.

Why can't there be some different characters out there? I mean, Pooh took over where Lotso was last year, and he's all alone. No Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Kanga, etc, just Pooh. What a great group photo that would be with all of the Hundred Acre wood characters together! But no, we get more Pooh.

I get it - he's popular. But Disney needs to get creative in the character area. When was the last time anyone saw Huey Dewey and Louie? Does anyone remember who they even are? Any recent sightings of Kuzco and Kronk? Character freaks would go nuts just to see some of the classic Disney characters circulating again. Get the Beauty and the Beast crew off stage and put them in front of the hat once in a while, do something different.

Usually too much Pooh will send you to the doctor's office, but at WDW it seems OK.

I agree their is an over exposure of Pooh in the parks, maybe it has to do of how the character is marketed along side the Fab 5 and the Princesses. Unless their a new franchise that could knock Pooh off his pedistal, where going to be stuck with the Silly Old Bear everywhere.

Also I hear Wreck-It-Ralph is coming to the animation Building, still cant wrap my mind on how their going to do him as a character, I hope he'll be meeting with along with Vanellope.

I would like more disney classic characters and less Pooh as well.

And I would love a character meal geared more for boys! Lets see a pirate meal, or star wars, villians or heck - even toy story. At the top of our wish list is a pirate meal.

Completely agree with this.

I don't mind Pooh meals, but it's frustrating that almost every character meal features him. Kids in my family couldn't care less about him, and paying a character meal just for the food is not worth it.

I remember reading once that Pooh was the 3rd biggest consistant franchise in Disney, behind the classic gang & Princesses.

SO it does make sense that he's around a lot, however i would love to see more variety in his supporting characters, we need more Eeyore, Tiger, Owl, etc.
