disneyanney said:OOC: I remember Perry saying something relating to this a while back, and I just came across this.
JKR: "I have been asked that a lot. Harry was exceptionally fortunate in that he had Fawkes. So before he could be destroyed without repair, which is what is necessary to destroy a horcrux, he was mended. However, I made sure that Fawkes wasn’t around the second time a Horcrux got stabbed by a basilisk fang, so the poison did its work and it was irreparable within a short period of time…. I established early in the book, Hermione says that you destroy a Horcrux by using something so powerful that there’s no remedy. But she does say there is a remedy for basilisk poison but of course it has to be administered immediately and when they stab the cup later – boy I’m really blowing this for anyone who hasn’t finished the book – there’s Fawkes, is my answer. And thank you for giving me a chance to say that because people have argued that quite a lot."

OOC: Okay, when I have both time and ny story I'll take us to Christmas eve or day
disneyanney said:OOC: I think I just filled the final hole in my plot.
Now I can go about my business crossing lines with an invisibility cloak without worrying about it falling off!
OOC: I think we're in need of a quote of the day.
"You think the dead we loved truly ever leave us? You think that we don't recall them more clearly in times of great trouble?"
-the great and mysterious Dumbledore
OOC: You have no idea how much I missed quotes of the day.

OOC: I wear my favorite HP quote around my neck.
Lark: He went to find his sister.
My others: They got back from Hogsmeade.

OOC: This quote is the most beautiful quote I've seen in a long time. On a clearly different subject, you should watch Moonrise Kingdom if you ever get the chance. It's kind of a coming of age story, but seriously it's sooooo good. I was so surprised on how good it was. Totally would recommend, the acting in it was good, and the characters were actually compelling enough to drive the story.
OOC: Well I'm glad I satisfied everyone this afternoon.
What's it about?
OOC: Two twelve year olds run away to the woods and have an adventure together because they are in love. Both of them have emotional problems, so they understand each other and think that society is against them. (Which it kind of is, but I don't want to spoil it too much.) I also can't explain what they do in the woods, because it's kind of an independence and a "you don't own me" type of movie. But you'd have to really look into it in order to see that, at least that's what I think.
