The Princess Bride - 20 Years Later

That was fun, thank you!! You're right, many of them still look wonderful! It does look as though Elwes head mightly been positioned slightly goofy. Chin tucked back funny or something. Fred Savage looks exactly the same! :p

Love Princess Bride. It is truly a classic.

Love  that movie- I've aged quite a bit in the last 20 years so I will refrain from commenting on that.:rolleyes1

Wow, it's been 20 years? I loved that movie!! Yes, that is a bad pick of Westley.

Love, love, love The Princess Bride. I agree they just chose a really bad pic of Cary Elwes.

classic movie!

Bad picture of Billy Crystal there I thought. He is one my all time favourite actors!

It can't be 20 yrs already. WOW

Agreed that's a bad current pic of Elwes.

I love that movie. DH cracks up every time I watch it cause I'm reciting the lines.

Its been 20 years? Inconcievable! :lmao:

I ADORE that movie. I had it on laser and it got watched once a week back then. Then ex took the laser disk player and the disks. When DVD players came out, Ed was ready to buy me one the first occasion after they were available (what can I say but we're early adapters?). I told him not to buy me one until my 5 favorite movies were out on DVD. They were:

Princess Bride
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Moonstruck
Bull Durham
When Harry Met Sally

Since then, two have been moved down the list, but Princess Bride and Holy Grail are timeless AND hilarious!

Cary Elwes made such a delicious bad guy in Ella Enchanted!

Now that was one funny movie! Are you sure it has been 20 years. It feels like 8.

Holy cow! 20 YEARS??!! That is hard to believe. True I know, but still. Seems like yesterday! Thanks for sharing the pictures of the actors. They were well matched for their characters. I love that movie.

Its been 20 years? Inconcievable! :lmao:

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

;) :lmao:

I had no idea Christopher Guest was the six fingered man!

Has anyone ever read the book? I had no idea it wasn't a "real" book.

the book is great... even funnier than the movie

Wow! I had no idea that it had been 20 years, but I guess that makes sense. (Boy, I feel old now.)

The Princess Bride (the book) was a favorite of my sixth grade teacher, Miss Byrnes. Every year, she'd read it to the class during breaks during standardized test week. I was lucky enough to be in her class the year the movie came out. She read it to us, then somehow convinced the school that it was an educational experience so she took us all to the movie on opening day as a field trip! (She was one of my favorite teachers of all time.)

I love the movie, but I *love*love*love* the book. If you haven't read it, please do. There's tons of humor in the writing that you can't possibly capture on film.

This was one of my favorite movies. I can't beleive it's been 20 years, I now feel so old.
