The Princess and the Frog

On a similar story I was on a flight were behind me 4 coloured ladies were sat

Coloured?

What year is this? 1963? :confused3

Sir, this is not an area for debate. This is a safe zone for us to talk about all things Disney. If you dont like what you read here, move on to another area of the Dis.

Plain and simple.

If you get a chance, MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE PRE SHOW!!! Not sure if they have it at WDW, but they did at DL. When they walk from NOS to the boat. Great to see everyone up close and personal. So much energy in the show. It is very infectious.

Yeah, they do the little pre show. They come out a door by the Diamond Horseshoe. Of course the riverwalk/thunder bridge can get fairly crowded easily.

One thing that I thought was really cool... and way off topic... I love following the floats of the Studios Parade, it's cool that they now do a little dance before running behind the gates and tossing the rest of the balls.

Okay, I have not seen the movie yet but is the prince hot???? (trying to steer this back to G &L forum!) LOL

LOVED it! I haven't enjoyed a Disney movie like this in a long while, not your typical princess story either!

We were talking after the movie about how if this movie takes off like we think it will, what they would do to New Orleans Square to incorporate the movie? Because you know they will......it is Disney after all.

The Robinson Crusoe Tree House which is right next to POTC, which was turned into the really boring and crappy Tarzan Treehouse back in the 90's, should be converted into Madame Odie's (sp?)'s tree, complete with the shipwrecked boat up at the top, full of voodoo treaures, with all the colorful bottles hanging and lit from the tree limbs. At least it could be some way they could incorporate the movie into NOS, even though technically the tree house is in Adventureland.

Just a technicality. I mean it's right next door! :)

I cant believe what I’m reading here,, the whole point of online forums is no one knows what sexuality you are & to be honest, what difference does it make,, you are affectively creating or asking folk to discriminate at you for segregating yourself from the rest of the forum by stating you have the freedom to come together,, are you some sort of other species,, I don’t get it,, its like the "black police officers association", blatantly saying your different from the "Norm",, its not a "were different & proud" but more like "don’t look at me that way",, cant you see that,, your argument is not defensive but more offensive,,

There are plenty of forums within these boards for TV, movie & believe it or not Disney,,

I feel the need to know why you need to start drama. Who cares where the thread is, Everyone's welcome. :grouphug:

But I havent seen the movie yet >: But everyones saying Disney has gotten their Movie Magic back! :D

Wow, just catching up and was I REALLY blown away. Mike, hats off, you SO handled that. Mark, you tried, but I doubt you could have said anything that would have made him SEE the light. Rob & Scott, HAVE FUN on your cruise!

And for everyone who posted about the movie, Christy & I have it on our TO DO list, after Christmas. It's getting amazing reviews!!! 10 months and we'll be IN DW and I'm hoping to meet the new princess!!

In the same thought...

Does that mean that Tiana and her handsome prince (I think the one at WDW is cuter than DL) will keep their special photo/greet spot in New Orleans Square or that she will be relocated to the Princess Faire (or whatever it is called-Never been there).

Rob & Scott, HAVE FUN on your cruise!

So far, so good! About to take a nap in our cabin after some light shopping in Nassau. (bought flip flops and rum cakes LOL). They're not showing the movie until Tuesday NIcht. We did see the Golden Mickey's last night, however. And tonight we'll skip seeing Toy Story, the Musical (because it's just dreadful. We almost walked out of it last year when we saw it for the first time.)

Talk to y'all soon!

p.s. I did send a pic message via text to OrlandoMike of us at the Sail Away party. Maybe if you ask nicely, he'll post it.

They have their meet and greet currently in the Angel Court, hidden within NOS but it wouldn't surprise me to have them move to the nightmare that is The Princess Faire. Nothing like a bunch of screaming little girls (gays not included) practically fainting at the site of a princess. That, plus the grumpy parents having to stand in line for almost 2-3 hours to see all of them.

There is no character worth standing in line for 75 minutes, if you ask me. And the people we have spoken to at WDW (combined with our ONE experience standing in line to see Mickey & friends) the posted time is always grossly UNDERestimated.

I was sorry we didn't see Tiana last weekend at MK.

I would like to see Princess & Frog but DH doesn't want to go. Not sure if DS wants to go or not, but if he does, he would have to be CERTAIN nobody would see him. He is ALL about not being seen these days.

You always know that you can call us and we'd be glad to accompany you to a movie. We'd love to see it again.

Thumper! :)

Last time we saw Thumper (my favorite). I loved my Thumper (boy does this sound bad) when I was a little girl and it burned up in a house fire. When we saw Thumper there( AK) last my Mom insisted we stand in line. Sure enough when we got to the front the handler asked us how long we would be because Thumper was done. I said "Just long enough for a picture". I got a nasty "I didn’t ask you that, Thumper is done since you can't answer simple questions" ( let me tell you this castmember was a peach.) The other one standing there let me know that there would be another bunny out soon. I let him know that I was not interested in just any bunny but only Thumper. I said to him " the other bunny didn’t burn up in the house fire". Well my Mom insisted on waiting around to see if Thumper would come back and he did. She stayed in line and waited; I was on fire and would have hit the woman in her thumper if I could have. Finally, we were up front, I asked the lady " Time for Thumpers break?" to which she shook her head and rolled her eyes and muttered something and walked away. Well I got my picture! And when I walked away, I noticed my Mom was crying! She was so happy. I might be 34 years old but I am still her little girl. To see my Mom that happy (especially after the few months we just had) was worth the incredible amount of time we wasted waiting for thumper.

Mr. Z, I may have to take you guys up on that!

PghLybrt, what a sad story about your Thumper! I think I would have had some choice words for the character handler, and I think I would have reported her to Guest Relations. I am glad you were able to get your pic!

I can't wait to see it :) My girlfriend and I are supposed to go see it tomorrow (you know, half price day) and I'm excited ! I'm slowly but surely turning her into a Disney Fanatic :rolleyes1

We thought they would create a restaurant in Port Orleans French Quarter called "Tiana's Palace". I bet they would have great food!

Jackskellingtonsgirl, too bad you aren't in Ohio, because my daughters are already bugging us to take them to see it again. They can't wait until it comes out on video!

Mike, can we see the picture of Rob on the cruise....please?
