The Prices are here!

Where can you look at the prices other than the ABD website? For some reason I can't access that site at work.

There is a place on the ABD site where it says the info will be released September 1st. I am wondering if it said that all along and I never saw it, or if that is new. I wouldn't be suprised if the info is out there - TA's and such perhaps but not on the official site. global_mom come back and tell us where you saw the info. Please!!!

They are only available through travel agents right now and I am sure by calling ABD directly. The consumer website information will be available on Sept 1st.

This is correct.

We are a bit dissapointed in the Backstage Magic itinerary but need to study it closer. It is about $2079 per adult with early booking discount in value season. However, just getting to be behind the scenes at Imagineering is worth a million bucks!

Thanks for the heads up!
I did call ABD they quoted me for - the Southwest Splendors Tour Departure 8/16/08, $2159 per adult and $1949 per child. This includes the early booking discount. She told me without early booking it would be $2699 adult and $2429 child.
When I pointed out that that seems to be a $500 per person increase from last year she said something about not really offering the quad rates - she even offered me 2 rooms each with 1 bed same price. She went on to expain that this way if someone cancels the rate doesn't change. I thought this would be a single and a double then?!? Not that I think anyone in my party will cancel.
I'm sure many will think I'm crazy - I did not take the 2 rooms. My kids would not want to be in a room without thier parents (yet!) and I don't want my husband and I to have to split up and each take a child.
Anyway it is a big jump in price. Using last years #'s w/ early booking I came up with $5696 this year it is $7206. $1510 differance. We will still do the trip, but wow that is a big jump from one year to the next.
I'll be anxious to see all the numbers when I can look and compare it all.

Moral of the story is - if you've saved the date - call to check your prices. They did say they were converting all the reservations to actual pricing and will mail out info soon.

I just checked the website and it has now been updated with 2008 rates and dates. Choose an itinerary, click rates and dates, and there you go.

Unless I'm mistaken, and that does happen:) , that has changed since this morning!

Hi 3p and thanks!:goodvibes

Hi ....if there are any other DVCers out there, they have released the point values for 2008 as well. They also have early booking point values. All I can tell you is that the point value for Backstage Magic with early booking, peak season, is 348 points a person. The point values are not on the website yet, or if they are then I can't find them, but you can call DVC to get the amounts. Hope this is helpful!

I was wondering about this all day. We are in the process of an add-on so we would have about 700 points that could offset some of the expense of an ABD. I wish that they would get all the new point charts on to the website ASAP. I like to be able to see everything all at once. I wonder how many points for the Knights and Lights trip??? 348 seems high for Backstage Magic with a retail value of around $2500 but it would be worth it if the points need to get used.

Thanks for the tip!
