The President of the United States

Anyone has to be better than this incredibly stupid man.

It's a shame that paragraphs of what may be lucid, well thought out arguments are negated by this sort of rant.

On the subject of lying, President Bush clearly did not lie regarding WMDs. The best available information at the time (from multiple intelligence agencies) indicated that Iraq did possess WMDs. Lying indicates that he knew what he was saying was not correct. That is quite clearly not the case. The information upon which President Bush partially based his decision has thus far been inaccurate, but that's not the same thing as lying.

Actually I served our country, and would do so again proudly if needed! And in full support of our President, G.W. BUSH.

Way to go SOBDOSNV! I did as well and also would again.

Chemical, biological, and other banned weapons found in Iraq, so far, since 2003:
- Brucella and Congo-Crimean hemorrhagic fever
- Ricin
- Sarin
- Aflatoxin
- Mustard gas
- Long-range missiles
- Nuclear centrifuges
- 20 Al Samoud 2 missile engines
- 16 Sarin and Mustard Warheads.
* 3900 POUNDS of powdered uranium, cesium-137, colbalt-60 and strontium.

I'd appreciate a link for that because if they found anything in significant quantities that qualifies as WMD, they'd be crowing.

Um, where else would you like us to put criminals?

Are you saying that we're too socially irresponsible which allows people with criminal potential to become actual criminals?

Would the legalization of certain activities and substances be on our short list too?

Definitely not,
but Germany is a similarily wealthy country as the USA. We only have about 46,000 people jailed of a population of 81 million.
I hope that you now see that there is a problem in your society:
You have 3.5 times the population of Germany, but more than 50 times as many people locked away. Nevertheless I -and all Americans I met so far in Germany- feel safer in our cities.
Bush understood very well to distract the American public from the internal problems of its country by focussing on an external enemy - May he be real like Osama or 'imagined' like Saddam. Don't get me wrong: I'm no fan of Saddam and I'm also happy that he's gone, but the fact remains that he never presented a danger for the American people. Unfortunately Bush found enough su....s -Ooops;) - people who fell for it - And as this thread proves who are still falling for it:rolleyes:

Oh yeah, things are just peachy in Germany. Isn't that where Atta and his bunch started?

Whatever societal problems we have, they didn't just appear under Bush and that has nothing to do with this.

And I've never heard of people dying to get to Germany like many die to get to the US of A.

Yes, Art, I wanted to source this. . .I will by this evening. I promise.

I am troubled by the fact that the Administration doesn't cite this evidence regularly, too. I read about all these findings separately, and don't know what anyone needs to actually say, "oh, here is the smoking gun". To me, even if they're small amounts, they still weren't permitted and they STILL should be considered evidence. And, the 3900 pounds certainly don't seem like small amounts to me. Maybe they weren't the "stockpiles' they were looking for, but it's still hard evidence.

I'll get back to you later today; I won't forget.

I have been reading the posts for all debate threads, and it comes to this, Dems are going to watch the liberal media and republicans are going to rely on Fox, so is anyone concerned at just how divided we will be as a country? We all refuse to see the other side, and I am of course very Republican and guilty of this too. Maybe it will pave the way for a third party or civil war, I am not sure which!

If w gets to stay in the White House by some lucky stroke, I won't be surprise if there isn't another civil war. The man is a total dimwit.

--BUSH SAYS WE FOUND THE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION..."We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories…for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they're wrong, we found them." [President Bush, Interview in Poland, 5/29/03]

Boy did I stumble into a board or what?

I been reading and from what I see, it is to each their own... everyone has an opinion, so here goes.

I love Bush, he stood up for us which is something I highly doubt that Clinton ever would have done, he was too busy getting laid in the round room.

As far as Bush lying? WHO HASN'T? I don't know of one single politician on the face of this planet who hasn't lied, but I do know that I get alot more money since he did his tax cut thing.

And the war? Iraq started it, we are finishing it. And I think that it is a great thing that he fought back. I personally don't know why other countries can't just stay on their own soil and leave ours alone.

I will be voting for Bush again and I really hope he wins AGAIN. Oh and he doesn't take up airtime to blab about everything. Works for me!

Did I mention that I HATE politics?

It will be interesting to see where it comes from. The exact same list of weapons, in the same order, is being used by a poster as a tag on another board. Something about total punk radio ??? Not sure if I am allowed to post the link.

I googled it, too, faith and wasn't impressed with the only hits.

Gee, I missed the whole Iraq starting the war by coming onto our soil. Guess I was too busy counting all the money from that "tax cut thing"...NOT!

You just pointed out the difference right there.

To the liberal mind, no significant quantities of WMDs = no WMDs.

Do you realize how little of any those chemical/biological agents can cause a lot of deaths if delivered properly?

uh...weren't the chemicals found all past their expiry date? as in, no longer dangerous?

Bet you didn't even know what Canada did for the States during 9/11. We closed our borders with you. Then we took all of the planes still in the air and had them flown to OUR airports to unload them. Hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of people landed in our country. We took the chance that YOUR OWN wasn't willing to. The chance they would blow up on our own airstrips near millions of people. THEN we fed and boarded these people for weeks. Clothing, food, blankets, housing, medical care, you name it, we gave it FREE. During that time, we sent firetrucks, medicines, and boxes and boxes of goods like clothing and blood, doctor's, nurses, firemen and paramedics into your country to help you. We spent billions of dollars and asked nothing in return for that help. What we did was more than ANYONE else in the WORLD did. We even went into Afghanistan to fight at the side of the American military and yes some of our own DIED on the field.

"We took the chance that YOUR OWN wasn't willing?"

Huh?

I wasn't aware that Canada had been attacked nor was Canada on the terrorists short list of "people to kill".

But besides that fact. THIS American appreciates what your country did do.

I'm not sure about that.

Care to take a chance anyway?

Everyone got a tax cut. Yourself included. If you didn't, you need a new tax advisor.

well yeah...if I am told they are no longer effective, have not been so for years, I am certainly not willing to send young men and women to die because of it.

Everyone keeps going on and on about this marvelous tax cut. Exactly who do you think is going to pay that money back? Have you looked at the deficit lately? Do you think it is just going to go away? It is plain and simple math. I do not understand how you can crow about a tax cut that is going to come back and bite you in the *** so bad, and worse your kids and their kids too.

Um, where did the terrorists come from? Surely WE didn't send them here? And the way I see it, they killed more people here than their country has... that alone is enough to piss ME off! I would think that more people would be too.

And yes, I agree, you do need a new tax advisor!
