Just popping in to catch up!

Isn't waiting out flight deals stressful? Even after I book a good one, I worry that a better deal will come along and I will have booked the wrong one!

Is Yoda really 5 months old??? It doesn't seem possible!

You mean they won't allow you to store your bags while you hit the parks on check out day?

If you fly with airlines like Delta, United, etc., you can actually check your baggage at the resort and just get on ME and go right to security. If you fly w/SW, you have to check your own bags at the airport.

Hi Tracy! :yay: How much longer until your big trip?

It's so true. And in the past, I've had a rough idea of what a "good deal" is. With all of the prices hikes, fees, etc., I'm totally clueless!

It's crazy! He gets bigger every day. It's amazing to watch him grow and change, but a little sad too knowing that he'll be a teenager in no time!

We flew SW last trip and I don't remember it being an issue. I say fly SW! :thumbsup2

:wave2: Hi Tracy!!!

They wouldn't give me the free dining (didn't think they would), but I still have hope, and here's why:

I reserved this trip with a PIN that I got in my email. A couple of weeks later, WDW published discounts for everyone. I called to see what the difference was between them, and they were exactly the same. So maybe, in a couple of weeks, there will be a general free dining promotion? :rolleyes1

The CM I spoke with said to keep looking for discounts on the Internet. That may just have been her trying to be nice, but I'm hoping it was secret code for "Free dining is coming soon!" :woohoo:

A question for the moms:
When you've flown with a baby, do you just hold him/her, or do you get a seat and put a carseat in it?

When I flew with DS for the first time at 6 weeks, I had him in my bbjorn. The stewardess told me to unhook it because in case of crash, babies act as airbags. She then told me in extreme turbulence babies being held get stowed under seats. :scared1: :faint:

Since that flight, strangely enough, we have purchased seats for him, including a $1600 one to Korea...

Yikes! We were planning on just holding him, because by that time, he'll be in his convertible carseat, which is HUGE, and I'm not sure how we'd be able to carry it around with us.

But after your experiences, we may have to rethink that!

I have always held my babies when we fly. If he's still nursing, the sucking will help his ears not to hurt. :goodvibes

42 sleeps!

It IS crazy! I cannot believe how one's concept of time passing changes once you have kids! All of a sudden, years FLY by!

:wave2: Hi Tracy!!!
Hi Jenny!

You said it, I did it! :goodvibes The flights have been booked, and we're all official now!:cheer2:
Congrats!!!!!

Crossing my fingers for ya'!

Just popping into say Hi!
Will catch up properly tonight!
Been a bit pre-occupied - I'm sure you understand!

I held my baby when I flew, but it was a short flight, just a little over an hour.

As for putting the baby under the seat during turbulence................the flight attendant would have better luck with me shoving my foot up their nostril.

Hi Bev,
All caught up now!
Congrats on booking the flights - now it's for real!!!!
Have never flown with tiny baby - our two were 17 months when we went to Majorca, and they had to sit on our knees. I did think though that babies got special cots/seats from the airline, but maybe thats just in Europe?:confused3
Hopefully you could get free DDP! When we rebooked yesterday we lost out on free DDP as the offer was no longer on and had to pay!

Woohoo! Are you at CSR the whole time or are you staying at a DVC property too?

Of course! It sounds like everything is back on track for you, which is great! I'm so sorry about what happened! (For those of you who don't know, Di's trip that was scheduled for next week got canceled because the company they booked through went belly up. But a new trip is scheduled for October!)

I've never heard about the special cot. Must be a Europe thing!

I was wondering about that! I think WDW should still give you the DDP since it's not your fault that the trip was canceled.

Well, I'm starting to feel a little bit of buyer's remorse, because I looked on Kayak and prices are starting to drop again. :sad2: I hoping that if the SW flight we're on drops, they'll give us a little refund.

Have a happy Saturday night/Sunday everyone!

SW does issue refunds for the difference. :thumbsup2 I had a friend who used to fly SW all of the time and change her flights frequently and I believe without penalty. :goodvibes
